Cons: Nothing.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Staff very nice and helpful- rooms were clean and beds were so comfy. Great breakfast
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The rest of the room was great. Walk in shower, comfortable mattress, mini fridge to keep our travel drinks cold, a yellow spectrum lamp to cast light behind the television so that you can wind down for the night. The complimentary breakfast was delicious, with many choices: French toast, sausage, waffles, cereal, hard boiled eggs, Greek yogurt smoothies, coffee and juice varieties, muffins, etc. Staff was professional, easygoing, and informative--Emily had reviewed our reservation in anticipation of our arrival, which made our check in process quick since we arrived late in the evening.
Cons: It would be nice if the air conditioner would stay on fan, or be more consistent with it's cooling. We put the thermostat to 74. It would freeze us for a short period during the night, then stop to let the room heat up until we were too warm, and then repeat the process. So lots of pulling over and kicking off covers. Not terrible but not as comfortable as it should be.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast had a wide variety and great taste.
Cons: N/A

Pros: Was good for a half way stop with shopping and restaurants
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Barstow outlet mall within walking distance, Chili's across the street, service station next door, front desk has a dolly.
Cons: I've read reviews of this hotel complaining about noise from the AC unit. So the first thing I did was turn on the AC and listen. It was quiet. However, in the middle of the night it made a lot of noise. I mean it was loud! And just when you thought it couldn't get any worse, an intermittent rattling noise joined in. The problem is with the rooms with the single king bed with the separate living area which has an AC unit in the bedroom in a closet. If you cannot sleep next to train tracks with freight trains passing by, I suggest you get any other room configuration. Other than that, the hotel was great! Lol!
7,5 Good
Pros: Nice, big rooms Close to many shops and restaurants
Cons: Didn't feel very safe at night walking back from one of the restaurants around the hotel
9,0 Excellent

10,0 Excellent
Pros: I know, I know, a motel in Barstow. Obviously not comparable to The Four Seasons Seychelles. BUT in its category and location it truly is excellent. The owner, his family and cleaning staff were all exceptionally warm and helpful. We found every box to be checked and then some: great value, comfort, cleanliness, quiet... Things that stood out: mattress and pillow quality, the room was devoid of scent (amazing), customer service, breakfast selection (and it’s built into the price), little details such as usb charging ports built into the front of the nightstand so you don’t have to unplug the alarm clock from behind the bed.
Cons: Nothing I didn’t like but two things worth noting: I’m nervous around most dogs and there are two living on the property. Nothing happened with them but I was slightly uncomfortable and if you happen to be afraid of dogs you’d probably like to be informed they do run about. Not a complaint either but a heads up: when they say breakfast is over it’s over. At least that was our observation. I totally respect boundaries and could imagine after years of people trickling in you have to draw the line. Never was it discussed, you knew. The area is cleaned up, chairs staked on tables, machines shut down a few minutes before the hour. Just know that and don’t delay. A ‘free’ meal is too good to pass up so set your alarm.
7,5 Good
Pros: The rooms were very clean and decent. Newly pained with new furniture. Bathrooms very clean. In reality this is just about it since all you get is a clean & quiet place to stay.
Cons: The owner is not really making an effort to be hospitable. Breakfast was very poor and served in the reception area which was a little uncomfortable and strange.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Great service at breakfast.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The staff is very attentive. The breakfast is better than most of the hotels. The two dogs is a plus :)
Cons: It is a bit old and it can be better with a little renovation.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Proprietor was friendly and helpful, made us great waffles at breakfast! Room was clean, location was convenient with some good local restaurants.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful set up for breakfast, very friendly and felt accommodating, not far from shops and rooms very spacious and clean with own kitchen. Will recommend to friends and family.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Remodeled and very clean. Good location close to the freeway and near lots of restaurants.
Cons: The pool was small, but great for cooling off anyway.
6,7 Good
Pros: Big rooms. Clean. Nice location. Good breakfast.
Cons: We arrived a little after midnight and the desk manager was emphatically not happy about it - it was almost comical how unprepared and angry he was (despite the fact that we indicated our arrival time on booking.com). There are many hotels in the area. If you don’t want people to arrive after midnight, than don’t allow them to book the room. I’m sure one of the other hotels would gladly accept the business. I’ve never left a bad review. I’m inclined to cut people slack if they’re having a bad day, but the person watching the desk on this evening swerved out of his lane to be rude. At some point you can’t charge people for this kind of service. Hopefully it was a unique circumstance.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Clean, and easy access. Friendly staff provided superior customer service.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was friendly and welcoming. Treated me like family.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: They simply did everything right.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The room was quite clean and modern - apparently recently remodeled. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was attended by the owner, who cooked eggs to order and assisted with preparation of the waffles - above and beyond what you get in most hotels.

Cons: Everything was fine
5,4 Okay
Pros: The grounds where kept nice. They had a designated place for pets to exercise and do there business, that was nice. Restaurant was good.
Cons: There was water damage on the ceiling. The front desk let us check in without informing us that the health inspector shut the pool down. That is part of the reason we choose that facility. Then at bed time there was plant stickers in the bedding. My husband checked other rooms he wasn't impressed. So we decided on changing the bedding.

9,6 Excellent
Cons: 109 degrees and pool out of order, and no working soda machines
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Good breakfast
Cons: Could not find ice machine
3,0 Mediocre
Cons: They put us in a handicap accessible room, where the toilet was in with the shower. It was so gross to walk in to use the bathroom and be in a shower that felt like an old high school locker room bathroom.
7,1 Good
Pros: The room was nice with good facilities and the staff were friendly.
Cons: The carpet was really dirty, hard flooring would be best in these room so they can clean them better. The rest of the room was lovely and clean.
5,0 Okay
Pros: It was a room and was reasonably clean.
Cons: Music and rowdiness from the bar. There is a garden area for guest in the middle of the motel. From 9 pm until early morning many of the customers from the bar were partying here which kept me and another guest awake. The staff did nothing about it. And the area must be one of the worst I have stayed in within the USA. You wouldn't want to walk around here at night.
2,5 Mediocre
Pros: The place was worn out. I would expect better from a Motel 6. Very bad value and very dirty.
1,0 Poor

Pros: Simple for modest price. Good for starting point for Route 66 journey. We really liked late check-in (3am).
5,8 Okay
Pros: No bugs
Cons: Too expensive for what it was. No pool. Took a whole day to get fresh sheets and towels. Housekeeper was off on a saturday!??
6,7 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: One bar of soap for two people & only 2 pillows for a king size bed. Continental breakfast offered nothing else but coffee. Refrigerator in the room did not work & unable to adjust temperature in room, you either had to turn AC on or off.

Pros: We were scared we paid for 2 nights and only stayed 1 it was so dodgy even the staff kept themselves locked up
Cons: Homeless people lurking around and going through the bins and asking for money it was a terrible place
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Easy to find, the room was OK, with a comfortable bed. Free parking. Breakfast quite good.
Cons: The breakfast area is tiny, people were eating outside, standing. The pool was not working, the premises are generally poorly maintained. Noisy air conditioner.
4,5 Okay
Cons: Very little hot water. No facial tissues.
7,5 Good
Pros: For that price room was fine. It is important to know that the "breakfast" is the prepacked cinnamon roll and coffe. Thats it.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Cheap! Perfect for a road trip stop to rest!
Cons: A little old
5,8 Okay
Pros: We stopped in Barstow on our way to San Diego and found this Inn to be one of the cheapest. The bed was comfortable. Check in was quick and easy. Parking available outside the room.
Cons: There was an overpowering smell of air freshener when we entered the room. The AC was not great, very slow to get going and took hours to cool down the room. The breakfast that was included was a doughnut and coffee, not what i would class as breakfast. The shower was also not great but the water was hot. The carpet was dirty, my feet were black from walking around on it barefoot
4,2 Okay
Pros: We had a place to sleep.
Cons: We reserved a double room (4people) when we got there we only had 2towels and 2 washcloths a half a roll of tp with no extras..no coffee provided. No ice machine. Drink machine. Nothing! The room was an oven!! Hot hot hot!! AC not on and the frig was hot as well.. not plugged in! Also the “direct tv” was so fuzzy you could not hear anything being said. In August we expected to swim but the pool was drained and locked up! (Probably would not have anyway once we saw the place..) Lots of homeless in and around area. I really don’t like giving bad reviews but in this case I had to! Maybe this will help the owners to make adjustments to make there next guests stay more pleasant!
4,2 Okay
Cons: The air conditioner was not on prior to our arrival, the room was hot. It took 2 and a half hours for the room to cool down before we could get to sleep. The reviews were misleading, the photo of the property wasn’t the actual location. The front door does not seal, you can see daylight coming in around the door. This is a dilapidated and run down motel.

7,5 Good
Pros: Standard motel as you might expect. Nice little breakfast with fresh waffles. cosy pool, needed because it was well over 100 degrees. Coffee machine and fridge in the room. Fine airco.
Cons: Staff must have been affected by the heat, because their hospitality was un-American, We arrived 1 hour before the 3 PM check-in. Usually not a problem (and the motel was at best half full). My wife also needed to go to the bathroom after a long trip with the car. We could not check in and she could go to the bathroom 3 blocks down the street by the gas station. Very odd, because I really admire/enjoy American hospitality. Not the case here.
6,0 Good
Pros: Good location
Cons: Air conditioner sounds like a plane taking off, the toilet seat was damaged and needs new toilet.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: It was really nice looking. Beds were very comfortable with easy access to the rooms.

8,8 Excellent
Pros: Great value with comfy bed
Cons: We just had an overnight and got in late.
7,5 Good
Pros: the pool
Cons: The room smelled like cigarettes even tho it was a non-smoking room
7,9 Good
Pros: Easy access for a late night arrival and early morning departure. Quiet.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: I had a much better stay here than I expected. The rooms and mattress definitely need updating, but everything was spotlessly clean and comfortable--even quiet. There are nice little touches here and there--like a few towels folded into an elephant sitting on top of the bed to make you smile when you enter the room, and then there are a couple of York peppermint patties by the bedside. I hadn't seen this in any of the other motels--including the Super 8s--I stayed at on my road trip. The pool looked very nice, and although I didn't use it, others seemed to be enjoying it. Breakfast was your standard morning motel fare but with a few extras. No complaints at all! This is the first time I've stayed overnight in Barstow. However, the Cajon Pass at night can be pretty treacherous to drive, especially after having already driven 500 miles that day, so for safety reasons I booked a room here--so glad I did! Will do so again.

1,0 Poor
Cons: EVERYTHING! The front desk guy was rude and demeaning. The NON smoking room smelled like smoke. There was a towel left in a pile on our bed when we entered the room! The toilet kept continuously running, the room was dirty and the walls/ceiling was thin!

Pros: Was not told anything about breakfast. Stayed one day at a price double booking com price.
Cons: The staffs attitude. It was very rude
7,1 Good
Pros: Close proximity to take away, gas stations and just off the freeway.
Cons: The noise from people above our room on the 2nd floor, it started at 4.45am and continued for over an hour.
2,9 Mediocre
Pros: Absolutely nothing. Very disappointed in Travelodge and will probably never stay at another.
Cons: If you like trains you will LOVE this place. It is located right next to a main train hub which kept the room vibrating all night. At least the engineers were kind enough to stop blowing their horns after 10:00pm. There was no water at the bathroom sink for 10 minutes and when it finally started to sputter water it was BLACK. In addition, there was one extremely meniscal bar of soap for shower and sink and don't let me forget to mention the broken toilet seat. As for the room's A/C unit: One did not have to check to see if it was running. It sounded like a space shuttle take-off during Hurricane Katrina. What I have listed here are only the highlights. I could go on for several more paragraphs but you get the idea.

Pros: Easy access to highways. Lots of restaurants nearby. Bed and TV with cable were good. The property grounds were nice, clean and well kept.
Cons: No ice in machine. Lots of homeless around. No where to walk the dog, all nearby business were mostly concrete and the little landscaping areas were full of trash and feces ( dog and human). The property itself was nice, clean and well kept. It is the homeless and bum problem.
6,7 Good
Cons: The toilet seat was up when we got into the room. When it was put down it was dirty. I travel with disinfectant so I cleaned it. Not much choice for breakfast.

Ad said breakfast included but we couldn't even find an employee to check us out let alone serve breakfast. Room was freshly painted but not vented. TV stand was so new it had not been completely put together yet.
6,0 Good
Cons: I did not like that the rooms did not match the pictures . I didnt like that the single bed rooms did not have a bath tub nor a vent so the restroom would get extremely hot in there !!

Pros: Good location and within walking distance of Dinopolis an Italian restaurant. Friendly helpful staff on desk were given a refurbished room which was comfortable and clean
Cons: Was like walking into a building site as the property is being refurbished. The pool area wasn’t good. The hot tub had stagnant filthy water in it and the loungers were broken.
8,2 Excellent
Pros: We were so impressed with the night guard! He was so kind to us! He gave us his personal water jug at night for our family and when our daughter threw up in the middle of the night he brought us clean linens and took the soiled bedding out in a trash bag. He was so helpful and we really appreciated him!!
4,6 Okay
Pros: Location is good
Cons: Rooms are dark feel like an old house.
6,7 Good
Pros: Good stop off point heading to Las Vegas
Cons: Pool area dirty and beds all broken
4,2 Okay
Cons: There’s not much to choose from in Barstow...so we had to stay here. Upon entering we saw several cats at the door which we figured were for all the mice we saw on the road. We just slept here and woke up as early as we could and left! We even skipped the free breakfast. We paid $100 for this stay so it definitely wasn’t worth it.
4,6 Okay
Pros: The Staff
Cons: We paid for budget and the hotel was budget, I could go on telling you how bad it was, but what’s the point? It needs a complete refurbishment before it’s even habitable.
6,3 Good
Pros: The bed was really comfortable!
Cons: The maids would just walk in without knocking

Pros: Air conditioner rattled so loudly it was impossible to sleep when it was running. And it was 104 degrees outside.

Cons: I loved the room
7,1 Good
Pros: Rooms and all was fine. The pool was nice and fresh.
Cons: Some of staff were a little stiff-necked. Payment process was unnecessarily complicated. The surrounding of the pool / barbecue area could use a little cleaning.
3,8 Mediocre
Cons: The hotel was undergoing major renovations when we arrived. This included refurbishment of the lobby, the breakfast room, and bedrooms on the ground floor which meant there was furniture, building materials, dust and debris in the common areas. On check-in the lobby was a dusty eyesore. Although I requested 2 rooms close to each other months ago, we were given rooms on different floors. My friend's room on the first floor was amidst rooms that were being refurbished, and had stained carpet and a broken curtain. When they asked to move to a cleaner room, they were at first told there were none but subsequently given another room that was surrounded by mattresses and other furniture. The woman at the desk showed no empathy to the situation. We tried the pool only to find most of the chairs were broken, the jacuzzi was murky and there was building materials and debris around the area. Breakfast was served in a corridor amidst pallets of flooring and was incomplete. We fail to understand how management would continue to advertise and book rooms to people under these conditions.
2,5 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing
Cons: The whole place was a disaster, complete remodel in progress reception all torn up no floor filthy mess luggage cart filthy, very poor quality bedding, should be shut down no food for breakfast health department should I inspect

Pros: NOTHING, Oh actually if you're addicted to drugs and need to take a hit then this is a great place.
Cons: WHAT didn't I like? hmmm... YELLOW Stains on the sheets, HAIR on the towels when I got there... OH YEA and the BUG I found on the sheets. I hope to God that it wasn't a bed bug. I did NOT even sleep there. The woman refused to give me my money back and offered me another room which makes NO sense. Why would I want to go from dirty to even more dirty. I left and PAID for ANOTHER hotel room at Motel 6 down the street. It was that bad. I asked the lady if she thought that was ethical, she said she's been running hotels for 15 years now and if her hotel is bad, then it's bad. Clearly they have no ethical standards there. AND for what? It is a SHADDY hotel. I really don't know why it's even listed on KAYAK/BOOKING.COM websites.
