a bit disappointing - unless you are a good walker - it is actually 25 minutes walk from Bardolino along the banks of the lake - lovely walk - hotel staff very friendly and helpful - breakfast really really nice and kids loved it too
nothing much in surrounding area - walking distance to Bardolino - family room very dated but beautiful lake view
Excellent location, nice hotel - rooms small but very clean. Hotel pool is in perfect location. Staff very friendly.
I travelled with two other family couples - one had balcony facing lake:-) the other had no balcony facing car park and noisy fairground:-( . I had single room - facing main road and church which was ok. Rooms were a bit small - especially for the couple with no balcony - actually smaller than my single! The staff were friendly - except when one of the couples asked to change rooms because of the fairground noise and then they felt grilled. There was a pleasant lakeside walk to Bardolino - about half an hour where there were nice restaurants. However there were good restaurants right next to the hotel too. The Vela D'Oro restaurant is not part of the hotel but had really lovely local cuisine and excellent service.
Unfortuately we did feel a bit let down by several issues, some of which the hotel could do nothing about: 1) At the time we were there a fairground was next to the hotel which played loud music most of the day and evening. This was to do with a bird festival which happens in Cisano every year in beginning of September - we wish we'd known about this before we travelled. The pretty quay was jammed with tacky sweet stalls the whole time. 2) The place was infested by fruit flies - at night and in morning (even smothering the breakfast rolls) - the hotel really needs to sort this out - the Vela D'Oro restaurant next door had) 3) luckily we are all slim becasue the hotel showers were very small.
Very good rooms, very clean and modern. It looks like the hotel has been updated and modernised from the photos on their website. Despite some communication problems with some of the staff (English not great) my non- existent Italian, I still found them very helpful and we enjoyed our stay thoroughly
Hard to criticise. The breakfast was a little bit bland and we could have possibly enjoyed the odd English speaking channel (Eurosport) on the excellent lcd telly, but that would be just nit-picking
The location is excellent for exploring the area of Lake Garda. The hotel is quiet and the staff are very friendly. Our room was very nice, it overlooked the car park but also had views of the lake. There are a few restaurants along the marina area but if you want more choice Bardolino is a short walk along a path next to the lake where there are plenty of places to eat. The swimming pool is lovely and the lifeguard was very kind. We would love to go back.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Gave advice on local events and helped us with the very little Itallien that we knew. Room was always clean and tidy when we returned from a day trip. Can not fault this hotel
The price was a little high for what the hotel actually offered, but it was still reasonable.
Enjoyed the stay and staff were very accomodating and helpful. Decor could be brought up to date
very helpfull and friendly staff
Great location, clean and comfortable rooms, great staff.
Free, convenient parking, great breakfast buffett.
A little too far from the town of Bardolino proper. Pool is actually not on site, but down the road a bit. The "balcony" was actually a patio surrounded by a fence on the same level with the sunbathing terrace.
