Minutes after receiving the rental, the oil light came on. We called the Hertz representative right away in case the car needed to be serviced. The representative assured us that it was safe to drive for more than 900km. However, on the night of 2 October, while in a small town in the Dolomites, our car broke down at 10:30pm after we came back from dinner and the car would not start. I immediately attempted to contact emergency services for rescuing until 12AM, but they were unable to recover the vehicle that night. This left us stranded in the rain an hour away from our hotel forcing us to stay at a nearby hotel. The next morning, we began calling the international and road side assistance team at 7am. Despite attempting to contact your team 20 times, we only managed to speak with someone from Hertz once, who asked us to call back in 5 minutes. When we called back there was no answer. Considering we were on travel and had to get to Milan for our return flight home, we were left with no other solution then to leave the car where it is and travel by train instead at 12pm. This wasted a full day of our trip.
