Pros:The staff at Ronald Reagan Airport was extremely helpful, and Ms. Benita's customer service skills are excellent.Cons:The car we reserved and expected to drive in Newport News was unavailable and we had to drive to DC to get one that would work for us, which was very frustrating and time consuming.Reviewed Aug 14 2019

Cons:I had reserved a small or compact car (I hate driving large vehicles on unfamiliar roads). They offered me an F150 (large pickup) or a van! They were good enough to at least get me a large SUV, which was less of a pain but far from what I had reserved.Reviewed Apr 1 2019

Tire pressureCons:Low tire pressure alarm sounded on the second day of our rental. I checked the air pressure in all four tires - over 50 psi in three tires and less than 25 in the fourth. Obviously, this is a safety issue that could have resulted in a blow out. Avis' staff should perform simple checks like this (also oil and other fluids) as a part of their prep.Reviewed Apr 12 2016
