I was misled by the person who served me. At first she told me she had no vehicles available. Seeing that I had to drive quite far, he told me that he only had electric vehicles. When I told him that it could not be that, he told me that by paying more he could offer me a gasoline one. That's not how things are done, in the end I paid the extra for the necessity and urgency, but never again.Reviewed Apr 26 2024

This was as simple as it gets. On line check in so all ready by the time I arrived. Staff were spot on, full explanation and a quick pick up. I was met on return to the carpark and the paperwork was all done in a couple of minutes. A very good customer experience overall.Reviewed Apr 26 2024

Paid for an SUV, ended up with a Malibu. Back wheels out of alignment, very uncomfortable ride. Reverse camera faulty. Seats both had dirt on them…really gross. Clearly had not been cleaned. Chip on windshield - right in frojt of where driver is looking. Mentioned this on the way out. Currently got 3 different charges pending on my credit card from Avis - why? Still don’t have a final bill/email confirmation from them. Zero contact since drop-off 24 hours ago.Reviewed Apr 26 2024

I checked the Navigation option and I got the one with no navigation. The car was very old. The two tire caps were zip-tied. Barbosa had a poor road condition and I hit the pothole and had a flat tire. The rental company said I damaged the tire, and rim, lost the cap, and charged me $454.00. I swear the actual car might cost less than $500.00. I paid $168.00 for the insurance and that insurance did not cover the tire and rim damage. I was better off crashing the car and using the insurance coverage than having a flat tire. The whole trip was ruined at the end dealing with the rental company. I ended up paying a total of $930.00 for a rental car. I asked them for the damage charges breakdown and here are the charges: for the tire $195.51, for the rim 154.76, and the hub cap $424.04 (hub cap tied with zip-tie!!!). I can provide their documentation of the charges if this sounds too unbelievable. I feel like I was ripped off and cheated.Reviewed Apr 25 2024

My husband and I couldn't rent the car because our application was denied without any explanation. Won't use this service again.Reviewed Apr 25 2024

The car was dirty outside, had no washer fluid and the fuel tank was not completely full on pick up, however it was the vehicle ordered (whereas on 2 previous car rentals the chosen vehicle was not available - not through Avis).Reviewed Apr 23 2024

Terrible vehicle. The exact opposite of the 'economy' class that we reserved. Got 26mpg. We are used to 54mpg. Rolling catastrophe. Dirty inside and out. Smelled bad. Worse design. Should be junked.Reviewed Apr 23 2024

The eToll reader was $129 for unlimited tolls. I had to use the tunnel on my way to return the car so we will see how much they charge me for a $4.00 toll.Reviewed Apr 23 2024

Great location, quick service at pickup and drop off. BEWARE when picking up your car @ Avis - my car, though new, had a lot of scratches- upon dropping off the Stuart tried to charge me for one which was not ticked off (and was disappointed when he learned I had the full insurance and videotaped the car when picked up)Reviewed Apr 23 2024
