I know that this hotel isn’t the fanciest or the most expensive, but this was overall an awful experience. The room they first gave us was acceptable. On the first evening, when we got home from dinner, we encountered that our restroom was a mess. Toilet basically exploded while we were gone (we assume), so the floor was full of poop. I’d really like to complement the staff & team at this Holiday Inn. Friendliness, accommodating and helpful. I had a change in my plans and needed a place to setup a mini workstation to take virtual meetings from 7-5p and the staff provided different solutions to help me. It was so awesome. The day was successful. I’m really thankful.

Pros (+) Breakfast was excellent. Bed was comfortable.
Cons (-) Room location was facing freeway. Very loud at night. The room could have been supplied with fresh towels and toiletries while we were out. This was not done.

Cons (-) Staff was very rude and not very helpful throughout the entire trip. Starting from checkin to requesting a shuttle to asking for a razor everything seemed like such a chore. Everyone I encountered left a sour taste in my mouth

I did ask for help or suggestions for me and my 11 year old to do in the evening and the driver (I hate I didn't get his name) really tried his hardest to help me out. It was hard since Austin is more of an adult atmosphere at night but he keep looking & always looked at location & price of a cab since I didn't have a car. Pros (+) The room was comfortable and clean and included everything you'd expect to have in a hotel room.
Cons (-) The hotel was under renovations during my stay so the atmosphere of the hotel wasn't too nice, but that's understandable. The renovation plans look like they will be impressive once they are completed.
