Arles hotels near Place de la Republique

Pros: The room size was good. It was very quiet at night.

Cons: The parking was nightmarish. The staff was not helpful in terms of giving correct or clear instructions. You will have to park at a public parking structure a few minutes away from the hotel, provided that you take the discounted offer from the hotel (if you are like me, you probably would because other parking spaces could cost 40 euros for a day). The entrance on the main street was closed for some kind of construction, but the staff failed to tell me. I followed the highlighted route on the map that he drew, only ended up getting stuck in front of the gate. The car behind me managed to back out but I had to turn right and drive on the curb to a nearby open space parking lot against a few incoming cars, whose drivers graciously allow me to make a narrow escape. When I called the hotel for clarification, another staff member answered. I was told to go pass the main entrance and turn right and then right again to get to the back entrance. So I did that. But man, guess where I ended up! An underground parking lot, which turned out to be a private one with a gate that will would not respond! I had to back up along a steep winding curve to the ground level and then with the help of two strangers to back out between two tightly spaced posts. After the ordeal, which felt like lasted an hour, I finally got out, only with another dread waiting for me in the weeks ahead: to deal with the insurance claim for a bunch of scratches and a dent on the car. When I called the hotel again, this time I was told to go further down the street for another block and make the right turn at the traffic light! I have no idea why I hadn't been told so in the first place! After I finally found the other entrance of the parking lot, I had to drag my luggage along the cobbled or gravelled meandering and undulating streets to the hotel. Oddly enough, I hadn't seen anyone dragging the luggage around the town the whole day and it literally felt like I was the only person doing that.

Pros: I loved the peace and quiet, I loved that my second floor windows opened onto the street with no screens and no bugs and i REALLY loved the soft classical music that played always on the ground floor. I heard beautiful choral works, Bach, Faure, so many edifying selections! There was also an outdoor space, surrounded on 4 sides by the hotel, and accessible only thru the interior, with lush plantings, that was quite appealing.

Cons: I think breakfast started at 7:30, but many travellers are ready before this time.

Pros: Location was fabulous, seperate toilet was appreciated

Cons: I would like 2 equal chairs to sit in as one person has a chair and the other a stool.

Pros: Excellent location! Very comfortable bed and great washroom facilities. Good service. We liked the decor of the common area.

Pros: The hotel was amazing inside,biggest bathroom ever in four trips to Europe,,comfy bed and aircon,,we requested a ground floor and was granted it as there was no lift,,the arena was well worth seeing as was the theatre,,

Cons: The breakfast though okay was not worth the price,,it was not self serve but delivered to your table,,it is not a continentale breakfast..no cereale,noham,no cheese,no boiled egg.no toast,hoever the night before we left we where offered a sunny egg for another 2 euros..there is something wierd about the wi-fi,,i could not find their wi-fi in the settings,but i could on my phone..they had no idea why this happened or cared..then on the morning we were leavingi turned on the laptop and there was their wi-fi signel..and then the main guy on reception..used his key to : check something in our room while we were lying down,,he did not knock just waltzed in,the realizing we were there excused himself and waltzed out,,i went and seen him at reception and he gave no reason..

Pros: I liked the atmosphere (ambiance) of the hotel, very nice decorated, very nice colors in the building, the owner was very polite. He helped me a lot because I ought to extend my stay, due to a strike of the railway staff, the staff was very polite too. I liked very much this city. I will strongly recommend my friends to visit Arles and to let themselves stay in this lovely hotel.

Cons: There must have been something wrong with me in this city. I have had most probably an allergy in my skin. In the room of the hotel I have stayed, although it was very clean, I got a kind of infection in my skin, as if I were bitten by mosquitoes. I ought to go the drug store and get some medical creme to all these bytes.

Pros: Loved this hotel

Pros: The position is great, in front of the river. Free parking is 300m away. The room is clean and welcoming, very warm and cozy. The staff is friendly and available. Very good breakfast. I would choose this hotel again.

Pros: The location was great. Free parking was a five minute walk away.

Cons: The room was not much bigger than the bed. My wife and I had to maneuver around each other just to get to the bath. Everything was the least that could be done, no hot water for coffee or tea, not even a second card key. The walls are so thin that we sometimes thought someone was entering our room when they were actually in the next room.

Pros: Location is great for visiting all the sights in Arles. It is by the Rhone and just few minutes walk to 2 of the Van Gogh paintings sites. Nearby there is a small fresh produce market in the morning.

Cons: No tea / coffee making facilities in the room.

Pros: The owners are very friendly and so helpful. The location is great, nice view over the river. Quiet too and close to the station/gare. It must be the cleanest hotel I have stayed in! Breakfast was fresh and very good.

Cons: Couldn’t have been better. Tip: Ask for the Arles historic pass. It gets you in all the historical sites for one price. Buy at the sites.

Pros: Staff was wonderful; he went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and enjoy our trip. Location; we had a view of the river and it was absolutely fantastic.

Pros: Good breakfast and reasonably priced. Great location within walking distance to the train station and right across from a trail along the Rhone River. Hotel staff were very helpful with providing directions to our next destination.

Cons: Room did not have air conditioner and it was rather warm overnight.

Pros: Nice rooms with balcony and view over pool area. Area and car park are fenced off.

Cons: After booking the room in October (non-refundable) a message states that the pool is closed after Oct 1. This appeared not to be the case but pool closed (is covered) on cold or windy days. There is a fridge in the room (empty) but it turns off when you leave the room (connected to card socket switch). Stupid. There is nothing to do or buy in the (slightly run down) vicinity and you need to walk to the city centre (1.5 km) for everything unless you like Arab style shops.

Pros: Secure large parking, needed this when in a hire car. Car parked outside front door, pool out back door! Amazing for the money. Short walk to arles centre, fantastic vibe, short drive to camargue national park, (wear mosquito repellent or cover up, mosquitos there are huge and hungry ha), national park amazing, maybe pack binoculars to see the lake. Lidl and MacDonald's and lecerc relatively close. Fridge in room handy too.

Pros: The room was large, beautiful and clean. The bed was very confortable.

Pros: The hotel itself it is nice. Location is very comfortable. The staff is very pilote and helpful. They gave us better room by their own initiate. Breakfast is very tasty with good assortment.

Cons: There is no fridge in the room. Furniture in room seems to be rather old and some furniture and equipment needs renovation. The bath looked painted several times.

Pros: Good-sized room and bathroom with bath. A parking space in the garage under hotel was provided for 10 euros overnight. Good staff. Good position on edge of the old town and easy to walk everywhere. Lots of cafes and restaurants around.

Cons: Rather old-fashioned decor, could do with a revamp but OK for a short stay.

Pros: A great location in Arles with parking under the hotel you can reserve in advance. A fairly modern hotel with good-sized rooms that serves an excellent breakfast.

Cons: The hotel is set up for family or business stays with a very minimal bar for guests. Not the worst thing as there are plenty of cafes and bars nearby.

Pros: Free parking is a highlight - room was very spacious - little extras like a pool table, football table, and swimming pool with jaquizzi

Cons: The location wasn't too bad, although it feels a bit run down from the outside its only a 10 min walk to the beautiful town or Arles. The hotel pictures make this hotel look modern and funky, but in reality its old and tired - the decor of the rooms and bathroom is old, basic and cheap and does not match the images that the hotel are putting up - this is what I call false advertising. The breakfast is expensive and basic. The staff are not helpful or happy - they are miserable and were often playing pool when we needed assistance. The free parking is a good highlight. The pool area in autumn is not the nicest place to be. We were not offered proper service on arrival as the night porter couldn't speak English (not his fault) but no-one spoke to us the following morning.

Cons: The waiter by the name of Alexander at breakfast swiped the back of his hand against my girlfriend ‘s buttocks. He was hovering very close to her at the breakfast table when the room was empty as it was almost end of breakfast and apart from our table there were hardly anyone else and he was clearing the room. My girlfriend shouted at him when he touched her buttocks the second time as that eliminated the possibility of any accident in the touching. When I confronted him he started shouting very loudly and denying it in an aggressive and insulting manner. Totally unacceptable behaviour.My girlfriend asked to speak to the manager but only the front desk guy came and another lady waiter. She told him what happened. However the hotel did nothing at all. There was no follow up on her complaint. And the day after, that same waiter Alexander was on duty at breakfast. Luckily my girlfriend overslept and missed breakfast or she would have been extremely upset to see that waiter at breakfast. At no time did we receive any apology for the waiter’s behaviour. This is shocking for a booking.com listed hotel. This happened on 16/9/19 and we have not heard anything from the hotel on the incident. We are home now from our European holidays so a formal email complaint will be made to the hotel and booking.com.

Pros: Very helpful and friendly staff. Very adequate facilities and a great breakfast with many choices. The pool and spa were wonderful for relaxing. The site was close enough to walk to town and especially to the market on Saturday.

Cons: The pool was very chlorinated, but other than that it was very good.

Pros: The breakfast was fine and had a full buffet. Parking at the hotel was very easy and the location in the town was not good and a difficult walk into the center of Arles.

Cons: The location of the hotel was away from the center of Arles. It was not comfortable to walk from the hotel into town at night. Since it was difficult to park walking was the only alternative. Although we were told it was a 10 minute walk in the dark down narrow and dark streets with traffic it was not worth the walk. Although the town is worth a visit and has many restaurants it was difficult to get there after dark by walking. Worst part was the hotel does not serve dinner except to groups. We were left without dinner for the 2 nights we stayed there.

Pros: The arts in the lobby, the jacuzzi, pool, the room, the space in the hotel amaizing, clean, modern, the colors, they have nice pictures there... inside the room is very clean and they have a good space for car, internet fast.

Cons: I don’t like the are near the hotel, to entre there was strange because the hotel outside is not to modern like inside.
