Pros: the rooms were very clean, the bed was comfy, I loved to have 2 pillows and a heating blanket, you can't expect more from a hotel in that price range.

Pros: I liked the motel being of an older style, comfortable but not over-the-top. The owners were helpful but not officious, friendly and genuine. I liked its being away from the busyness of Apollo Bay but within an easy bike ride (my choice) or walk. It had cable tv, which I didn't expect, and enough dishes and cutlery to make light meals in the room.

Pros: Marengo is 2 kms away from apoollo bay...the hotel was good though its far off from apollo bay..
Cons: when we reached the motel, we were told our booking has been done for another day and there was utter chaos. This was cleared in 15 mins and when we were checking out the next morning the lady at the desk was asking for payment the whole of which has been done when the booking was done. The whole thing looked like there was something amiss somewhere...
