Pros: This hotel bears the essence of Turkey’s history and culture. Beautifully restored in a most ideal location,! The Equestrian room where we stayed was huge and beautifully decorated. The restaurant served good Turkish breakfast, service staff was well-trained. It was a delight to be welcomed and served by Ahmet each time we had a meal there. The terrace offered great view of Ankara. Across from the hotel is the historical Citadel and around it is a myriad of interesting stores and restaurants and a museum. One can spend a day there browsing and never get bored. Perfect location! Looking forward to staying there again in May 2020.

Pros: To be a guest at this hotel is a special experience. It's a unique building - revealing it's history at every corner in its boutique style. The old architecture of the building is well preserved, while it is still renovated to cater to modern comfort demands. The staff were very kind and the service and food were excellent. My husband and I stayed in Ankara for 3 days in and spent one of them checking the polytechnic museum of the Koc Family. The museum is hosted on 3 floors at the very same hotel. There are few museums in the world that can boast with such a rich collection. It's a must visit and I highly recommend it. We thank the hotel staff for the pleasant stay!

We got the king room (should be the best one) water was cold, non of devices was functional. You should call reception at least 2 times for any issues. Cons: first of all i remind that it's a 5 star hotel. but there are some 4 star hotels ,offer more comfort around.there were 2 meetings and an engagement party in the hotel (the saloon was at 5th floor , in our room's floor) ,so the floor was crowded and noisy.(the party ends at midnight). we had 2 rooms , the street faced rooms are very noise , the isolation is not veery well , between rooms and outside. the breakfast is poor.

Pros:
Cons: There was no toilet brush, when I asked the reception to provide one, minutes later a staff knocked on the door. The staff was wearing sanitizing gloves and holding a brush tucked in a plastic bag , cause the dirty water was dripping from it. He then explained that there are usually no toilet brushes in the rooms as a hotel policy and the brush he is holding is actually from the staff toilet. He actually expected to hand the dirty brush to a bare handed customer, not to mention the stand of the brush is missing. Meaning if you were to use it, you will then have to leave it on the ground.. The parking lot is a problem as well, for a total of 122 rooms thare are only 25 slots available for parking. The remaining cars are parked to backstreets, which are full of shady looking underground clubs full of drunken people.. It says 5 stars on the door but the service you get is 3 stars max, would not recommend it.

Cons: The room was small even we book a superior room. I think they assign us a standard room. It was ok. I stayed before with the same chain hotels but this one offers a simple breakfast. So, I syggest book it without breakfast then you can have more options outside. You should inform your housekeeping team to wait liittle bit more after they knock the door for cleaning.

Pros: It is very rare for us to give a rating like this. The owner was serious, yet friendly and responsible. We were lucky to get an upgraded room: classy and everything worked. Highly recommend the optional breakfast. At the end, we received help with our onward (bus) travel. The dog is super cute. If we come back to Turkey, we woud definitely return here!

Pros: The breakfast was not bad. However, we were given or provided full options where you can choice different items or menu. Nevertheless, one good thing is that they provided us free tea and coffee at-least.
Cons: I . didn't like the Hotel in term of hygienic, the air condition were leaking some water but has been denied to be fixed or exchanged the room. In term of staff, some of the staff members were unpleasant or had negative attitude towards foreigners as they ignore our questions sometimes. Shocking! We have also been asked extra amount of money on the next day not first day!!! after we cleared our 6 days payments in advance. We were expecting to be given clear direction on our arrival, but we have informed extra charges on the second day.

Pros: Breakfast is simple and healthy. The taxi is easily available from the front of the hotel. Not too close to train and the street does not have enough signage to direct us. Nearby no food places. People are very helpful. Next to a bus terminal.
Cons: The prayer broadcasting is loud although the windows are sound proof. The ventilation of the room is stuffy and requires us to open the window for fresh air.

Pros: The hotel is very close to the city center. But it is located away from the noise of the center. On the first day, we stayed in a room where there was a cigarette smell. We reported this and immediately changed the number. The staff was very friendly. The room was very clean and tidy. The room has air conditioning, TV, minibar, hairdryer, safe. The beds were comfortable. There was no concern about the room. Breakfast was perfect. Eggs (scrambled eggs, boiled, with tomatoes), various cheeses, fruits, olives, fruit juices, flour products, sausages and much more. I will necessarily stay at this hotel during my next visit.

Cons: Dark old wooden panelling everywhere. Excessive use of autmotice perfume dispenser EVERYWHERE. The whole hotel stank like a pissoir (because of the perfume). Everything seems to be held together by a guy with a glue gun with unlimited glue. Will NEVER visit again. Worst hotel so far in Turkey after more than 30 trips.

Cons: I don't recommend to book this hotel because of these reasons: First of all, staffs couldn't speak English at all, so it was a big problem. Second, the room was completely different(furniture were too old and used ) from which I've seen its photos in website. It's cleanliness was terrible, even there was not handwashing liquid and when I asked for one the staff said you can use shampoo or buy one from market!! The only positive point was its location and accessibility.

She wanted to help but I don't know why they say they speak a language that they don't It makes everything so difficult. The bed was umconforrable and there was a small window without any curtains that lead to the hall. So when anyone pass you'll have all the light in your room. Sleeping was a chalenge.
