Pros: Breakfast was good with many items, our king bed was big and comfortable, room was clean, was nice to have an indoor pool, and our stay was quiet.
Cons: The lighting in the room was a huge bummer, felt either too dim or blindingly bright. It was the only thing that bothered me at the hotel really, but it made the room feel sad. Different bulbs would make a HUGE difference.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: I love the room and the breakfast.
Cons: The price of the room was high. I could not afford to stay for more than one night. would like to come to Alpine and spend about a week seeing the city and the area of Marfa, Presidio, Ft. Stockton, the McDonald Observatory and other sites, but I would have to find a lower cost Inn. You offered no discounts for the elderly or former military. You should rethink your positions on discounts. Over 170.00 per night is too much. I would love recommend your lovely Inn but my friends would hesitate even if I tell them how great your facility is and how wonderful the room is and how great the breakfast is.

Pros: Breakfast was really nice! I appreciated the omelettes. I am gluten sensitive and have a hard time finding breakfast that pleases me. Rice is my only grain...so no toast with my eggs blah. Maybe rice krispues or rice cakes would be a good addition.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The room was very clean and comfortable.
Cons: The pool was closed. When asked, the manager said it was closed due to a child's accident. The accident was the night before and nothing was done. They had just started cleaning the next afternoon. The manager was EXTREMELY rude!!

7,0 Good
Pros: Charming hotel, nice personel, good restaurant downstairs, and vintage equipment.

Pros: Old charm
Cons: Most of the rooms front the Main Street. There are raillroad track directly across from the hotel and trains coming through all night long blowing their horns, please do be sure and use the earplugs although they don't help very much with train horns

Pros: was very clean, the staff very friendly and helpful. Thanks !
7,0 Good
Cons: No lobby,definitely for truckers
7,0 Good
Pros: We booked here for its proximity to Big Bend National Park North entrance. the Bedroom was OK with 2 standard queens beds, a fridge and a microwave as facilities.
Cons: Check in organized at the counter of the close by restaurant : it looks a bit strange. We had to wait quite a bit for the Hotel responsible, standing up in front of the restaurant cashier. no one in the Hotel for support, we had only 3 towels for 4 guests (information provided in advance through the booking). as we stayed only 1 night, we didn't complain. Actually we were expecting a higher standard for the price we paid.
5,0 Okay
Pros: The location was convenient. The beds were well made and sheets were fresh. We appreciated that. Toiletries were available except for Kleenex, the box was empty. Overall I have seen worse, but was definitely a little misled by the website pictures.
Cons: Was not the cleanest. It was advertised as cleaner than it actually turned out to be. Shower curtain smelled like mold and the room smelled musty as well. Did not like that we had to check in outside at the diner or that there was no pool. Overcharge

Pros: Cool little vibe to this hotel in the middle of nowhere. Stopped on our way west from San Antonio for a night. Was the perfect resting spot. The pool was excellent, however it was super cold considering it was pushing 100 outside. Wasn't expecting that
Cons: Hotel room was a little smaller than I expected but we did not need it for much more than sleeping. The bathrooms however were super tiny and hard to maneuver in.

1,0 Poor
Pros: the staff person at the front was very helpful.

Pros: Centrally located next to Hwy 91, close to the university and restaurants. Room was clean, with soap and shampoo. Ample parking and friendly staff.
5,0 Okay
Pros: Bed was very comfortable
Cons: My card was put on hold for $150 to pay for the room and incidentals. Price of the room was $60. There was no running water in the morning. Was unable to take a shower. When I tell told the clerk,he didn’t seem to care. Will never stay there again.

Cons: Ice machine not working. Bathroom in need of some upkeep.

Pros: All rooms are ground level. You can back up to your door. Easy to unload your car.
Cons: Wish the room would have been a little bigger. Could have used a small table in addition to the desk table.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Across the street from a Pizza Hut and Dairy Queen, near “the desk” hike” and Sul Ross State University. Staff was friendly. Basic motel near hwy 118 and about 80 miles from Terlingua area. Photos are from the hill behind the property on the “desk” hike.
Cons: Ice machine out of service, bed ok, bathroom door made loud noise when opening if it was closed all the way. Toiletries useless. It was our first Big Bend visit. You get what you pay for, so if you are no frills it is good place.

Pros: Great bargain. Love to see thoughtful restoration of classic motor lodge.
Cons: Needed towel racks
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This is a great value hotel in a great location. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The room I had was great, big comfortable bed and good air conditioning. I would stay here again.
1,0 Poor
Pros: Nothing.
Cons: I booked a room for three adults, a 13 y.o and a one y.o, the room was really small, with no room to set up the play pen. They placed us right next to a weekly tenant, whom played loud music and smoked. The beds had crumbs on them and were very uncomfortable. The towels in the bathroom were dirty or stained, they didn't provide more than one set of towels. We were more comfortable driving 6 hours back home without a bath than using their shower or towels. Within 10 mins of booking the room the price was lowered by $20. The room had quite a bit of damage to the doors and walls and while you book they ask for a refundable $100 damage fee, yet no one lets you know your room has damage. The fridge and microwave were not plugged in, nor where there enough outlets to plug them in, so idek if they worked. Finally when we left the front office attendant was asleep and when I woke her to let her know I was checking out, she just pointed to the counter and said ok. We didn't complain because the place looked very shady and we worried about how they might retaliate.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: It was nice and cheap and in the center of town.
Cons: I had a hard time locking my door and a custodian had to come to my room and repair it.
6,0 Good
Pros: The motel's outside appearance is quite low budget. Inside, the room is quite old, but the bed was comfortable, clean, and the TV had a good selection of channels. There was a microwave and mini fridge hiding inside a large cabinet. It looked to be a wardrobe until you opened the door.
Cons: If there was a breakfast, no one on the staff told me. The electric outlets near the entry door from outside were dead. The bathroom sink had no hot water, just cold. When I checked out, I told the Indian lady up front about these issues. She didn't write either of these problems down, so I assume that no one will ever fix them. The dullest pencil is better than the sharpest memory you know. There were no hangers on the clothing racks. Hangers are a dime a dozen, even if you don't get the hotel ones that are firmly attached.
2,0 Mediocre
Pros: There isn’t much to like about this motel to be honest.
Cons: I didn't’ like this motel at all. I was very disappointed with the condition of this motel. It’s quite run down and is in bad need of serious renovations.
5,0 Okay
Pros: Bed was clean and comfortable.
Cons: Only one overhead light. Had to get out of bed to turn off. Has carpeting on floor which gives odors. Neighboring guests wanted everyone to enjoy their music.
7,0 Good
Pros: Definitely good value for those not needing fancy add-ons of a significantly more expensive hotel. Room was clean and comfortable.
Cons: Staff wasn't friendly, but not quite rude. Shower head shot like a jet stream until I scraped off the mineral deposits stopping water flow.
1,0 Poor
Pros: Zero
Cons: Bathroom filthy, partially repaired hole in ceiling, bed very uncomfortable, generally old, dirty and run down, Did not change sheets, room had bad smell, would not have booked if I had known this
1,0 Poor
Pros: The bed was like sleeping on rocks and a pigs pen is cleaner than the room.
Cons: Over all I didnt like anything. The room was very nasty and filthy not sanitized. You should go see it yourself. Also I need a refund .
6,0 Good
Pros: The price was close to half of other hotels in town.
Cons: There were beer cans in the drawers from a previous guest. The WIFI didn't work the last day and a half. There was loud music and partying most evenings.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was good location, convenient access to national park. Yes, the room was a bit dark and not clean but it was enough to stay. The price was good.

7,0 Good
Pros: Charming hotel, nice personel, good restaurant downstairs, and vintage equipment.
Cons: There were earplugs next to the bed and that was no joke. A terrible noise from the outside ventilators while we asked fot a quit room, so no good sleep.

Pros: Old charm
Cons: Most of the rooms front the Main Street. There are raillroad track directly across from the hotel and trains coming through all night long blowing their horns, please do be sure and use the earplugs although they don't help very much with train horns

Pros: Beautiful hotel! Fantastic bar! Delicious restaurant! Staff was awesome. Room was priced excellent
Cons: The room was small for my taste. The bed wasnt that comfortable. The view of the mountains from our window was blocked by a less than attractive building. The seats in the restaurant courtyard were uncomfortable. The restaurant prices were a bit high.
