My bad experience is based on the additional service charges that made the final price much higher than what was shown on the app, even after I explained that my credit card already had full coverage. Very poor service; I was traveling with my children and four seniors and couldn't make another reservation due to our flight arrival times. Upon arrival to the car rental office I was informed that they had a 2 hour window to pick up the car. WHERE WAS THAT CLAUSE? Because I have never heard of such thing nor I saw it in the rental agreement. They also informed me that they had no cars available. I ended up having to spend double. I was not able to pick up my car. My credit card information was already in my profile but my physical credit card was safe at home. I had my digital cards on my phone but was not able to complete my transaction, leaving me without a car. I had my driver's license, which matched the address, license number, charge card number - which matched my digital card - on file in reservation in the system. The only thing that I did not have was the physical card. Even more frustrating, the agent was unable to show me in any of their policies that a physical card was required for pick up, but, according to him, it was there. I looked on my own and was unable to find a physical card requirement but was still refused a vehicle. I was in town for 2 days to attend a funeral. Pulled up the online obituary, which listed my name matching my driver's license and was still refused. Flew in the day of and missed the evening service. This absolutely sucked,Reviewed Jan 10 2026

Absolutely disgraceful. On arrival I was asked to hand over my license & credit card. After a minute of tapping on her computer the Alamo representative said “we haven’t got a car for you”. Apparently they’d ran out & she said they didn’t have enough for people who’d booked months ago let alone me ( who’d booked the day before. I asked what I was supposed to do. She said “I don’t know” She also told me that they had tried calling me but I had no missed calls or voicemails. Thankfully Avis helped me.Reviewed Jan 5 2026
