Pros: Good supply of tea and coffee and bottles of water as well as biscuits. Staff prompt to replace hairdryer that wasn't working even though they were in the middle of serving breakfasts.

Cons: Cold water pressure in the basin A little bit on the lower side. Only one hand towel in the bath room but two bath towels.

Cons: No parking but that’s Aber. Also they only gave us two pieces of toast cut into 4 between the two of us and only one coffee

Pros: I liked the fact it was close to the centre of Aberystwyth, so we were almost right next to the beach and were within easy walking distance of lots of places to eat and shop, as well as to the parkrun, which was one of my main reasons for choosing to go to Aberystwyth. Had we been staying more than one night, the kitchen facilities might well have come in handy.

Cons: The down side of being central was that parking was a slight issue. We arrived a bit before 6:00 and there were no spaces left in the tiny hotel car park. Nor were there any spaces available on the road outside the hotel. We had to park a short walk away and then move it later when a closer space became available, but we could only leave the car until 11:00 before having to find somewhere else for it. As we were leaving that day, this didn't cause us a problem, but it would have been a hassle if we'd been staying longer. I also didn't like having to share a bathroom, because in the morning I found both the bathroom on our floor and the upstairs one were engaged with people having showers. A separate toilet and shower room would be better I think. In addition, we found the room a little hot, but my son didn't want the window open because it was quite noisy outside.

Cons: The shared bathroom was for four rooms (up to 8 people) with no washhand basin in the room.

Pros: Comfortable, clean room steps from the boardwalk. Mereid was lovely and helpful. Super happy about the laundry facility downstairs, too.

Cons: Sound of seagulls woke us up in the early morning. I guess that is the hazard of being by the ocean.

Cons: Owner had turned the storage heating on, even though it was almost 20 degrees outside. Result was that we had to ask for a fan to cool us down. ..all night, with its consequent noise. Would have informed owner, but no one around at 0915 The double bed seemed to be a four foot model - tight fit for us.

Cons: The staff are lovely and helpful, the rooms are clean and the views are amazing. We really enjoyed the cooked breakfast too.

Cons: Ordered food off the menu items missing. Light bulbs missing, one pool cue no chalk. Reception staff a little frosty on arrival. Bedroom tired and things broken I.e shaving socket fitting loose and light broken. Requested a breakfast table to be made up in the bar area the night before as instructed by reception staff. This was not passed on to breakfast staff. On a positive the breakfast staff were very accommodating

We found a pair of nickers in the wardrobe drawer, didn't move them as we didn't need drawer, otherwise all good, oh except 5 beds/people only 4 mugs and glasses, got extra myself from the ballroom/ breakfast room

Pros: Decor throughout hotel including bedrooms. The view was breath taking. Breakfast was lovely buffet.

Pros: Excellent location opposite the beach. Our room had a lovely view of the bay. Convenient car park in this busy town. Spa was great after our dip in the sea.

Cons: Service at breakfast was very slow and the choice was limited. ‘Early birds’ had taken all the pastries and best fruit which were not replenished. Queuing for hot food took ages.

Pros: By far the finest hotel we stayed in on our trip to Wales. The location and view were excellent. Probably the Grandest hotel 50 years ago and still that way today.

Pros: Very clean and looked like the decor had been recently updated. Fantasitc view of the prom and beach from the room. Staff were courteous and efficient, the check in was simple and straight forward. The breakfast provided in the price was well cooked and plentyful.

Cons: The shower was too hot!!! Even on the coldest setting, we couldn’t have a proper shower after all day at work and a 3 hour car journey to get there. To top it off the shower continually drips once off which was very annoying in the middle of the night. Quite disappointed about this experience. The bed was also uncomfortable. I did not think it was worth £75 stayed, I’ve stayed in nicer hotels for less.

Pros: The location was good, near shops and pubs and right on the ocean.

Cons: Parking was a huge problem; the breakfast was precooked, making the eggs hard and oily and the bacon dry. Only the toast was made to order. The beds were hard, the pillows were flat; the shower wasn't great. There were no hooks to hang wet towels. The elevator didn't work.

Pros: Having read some of the negative reviews we were a little concerned ,but were pleasantly suprised.The hotel smelled clean and fresh on entering,there were plenty of staff members around,who were very pleasant.The family room we booked was spacious ,very clean ,a good size ,great sea views and a well stocked hospitality tray ,which included packs of biscuits and hot chocolate . The hotel is well located for the town ,the sea front and the binocular railway.

Pros: The owners went above and beyond to be of assistance! Very much appreciated their patience and understanding with my needs. Beautiful view with the location being across the street from the sea. Very lovely room and very reasonably priced.

Pros: Totally disappointed. The room was small, dirty, very hot- only one small window opened. The lift didn’t work and my partner uses a walking stick. We were then in total 20 minutes- we left as soon as we saw the room. Unless I get a refund I will never use booking. Com again.

Cons: We were on the second floor, lots of steps, with our suitcase to carry, not good for my husband who has Atrial Fibrillation because the elevator was not working, and this was not working some time before I even booked, but I assumed they would have repaired the elevator by the time we arrive in the hotel, but apart from that it's a nice clean hotel and nice location by the seaside.

Pros: very good breakfast / helpful staff

Cons: Repair of the lift would be required before i would revisit. I knew it was out of order prior to booking but the stairs were harder to the top floor than I anticipated ( I have a bad knee ). And yet more stairs down to basement for the dining room but worth it when you get there.
