A really excellent and comfortable experience. No wifi in my section of business class though - would have made it perfect.
4 flights in 3 weeks between arrival and departure and all flights delayed about 5 to 6 hours ! What’s going on with AF ?! Not a low cost and you paid for that service !?!? Not anymore

This is the second time in 2 months that I watched the boarding go from Take Off at 4:40, nope 4:50, nope, 5:00, no, 5:30, no, 5:45, and finally 5:54. The first time it happened, I had to catch a connecting flight and my 2-hour layover became a race to the gate. I have an artificial hip and am 67 years old. I don't race. What I did like? Masterful crew that managed to calm a screaming child in seconds after he'd been screaming in the terminal for 20 minutes while waiting for the plane to board. He was overtired (as I imagine his parents were!) and the problem was sorted in a blink! Impressive!

Apart from the delays in terms of departure times, the airline experience was so bad, given the medical incident from a passenger sitting at the back of the plane. I was so close to it, and was utterly disappointed by the failure of the cabin crew to control passengers from overcrowding the sick passenger and allow the crew to administer the necessary medical intervention. It all amounted to compromised safety at 30000 feet, and seriously more training on the part of the airline is required in this regard. The other issue I realised is lack of cleanliness and care on the part of cabin staff, with one lady spilling food next to where I was sitting and ignoring the incident completely. I had to ask another to intervene and for which only superficial help was rendered. This is not what I expected, but this is what I got and speaks volumes to a cabin crew which is all female, mature/elderly, and expected to be more hands on to problems of this nature. The food is terrible in economy class, with options very limited. I opted for chicken, but did not know that it had curry in it, so I could not eat my meal further, and so no need to ask for the vegetarian option.

Cons: "On Monday, September 3, I traveled from Frankfurt to Washington Dulles on United 933 (this return trip to the US began in Rome on Lufthansa earlier in the afternoon). The plane left on time and we touched down at Dulles on time (a little before 8pm EDT), after flying 8 hours. It was 2am Central Europe time. Experience with customs / passport control at Dulles was the worst I've ever experienced, in any country. In my life I’ve traveled to 40 countries (lived in 7) and flown many different carriers. I stood in line 2 (TWO) hours before finally seeing passport control and quickly getting cleared through. There were no announcements of any kind as we waited, and the airport acted as if it were routine and expected that all these people, some with small children be put through this ordeal. There were about 4 or 5 men or women manning the passport control booths, though capacity for maybe 20 more. Some people while in line downloaded the Mobile Passport and were able to then bypass the line. I had technical problems with my phone and could not. Again, NO communication was made by airport personnel or United; we were on our own. Because of this unexpected delay, I had to catch a taxi to my home in Arlington for a fee of $55. I had planned to catch less expensive transport but was already late for a planned event."

Then, at computer kiosk in Frankfurt, they had a wrong diagram of the plane,as we ended up on what turned out to be a no-recline row which I would never get. I'm 6'2", 230lbs, and wasn't able to sleep on that flight. Had I been able to reserve a seat behind a bulkhead or in exit row 2mos in advance, I would have been fine."

Cons: "Cramped seating, seat would not recline at all. Departure delayed due to poor airplane maintenance."
Cons: "I didn't like that on the way to Philly I could watch movies on my device, but on the way back I would have had to pay to use the seat-back system."
Pros: "The Steward was amazing! He was such a sweet man, I really hope to see him on a flight again in the future. He was so silly and personable to everyone, and did fast service as well. Def a 10.0 and made the flight much more enjoyable. Lots of space on this plane because it's so small. It seems counterintuitive but that means there are less people stop it seems less crowded and more spacious."
