Pros: "The crew was amazing. Food was great. Clean bathrooms. Great entertainment."
Cons: "We had our passports and boarding passes checked five times in the course of 2 minutes by five different people one after the next. My cabin luggage was searched right before boarding. I appreciate the need for security, but that was excessive and unnecessary. In the peak of the Corona virus craze, the security made all passengers take off shoes and walk without any protection. This is not Qatar Airways doing - New York JFK security B S, but I am sure airways companies have some say to change it."

These things happen, I understand, but most upsetting was the fact that Qatar Airways provided very little information to those of us missing our flights. While on the plane, when those of us with short layovers mentioned that we may be late, we were told "you'll be fine - they hold the planes for a bit." When we deboarded the plane from New York, we ere wrangled into groups depending on our destinations. Many of us assumed that we were going to be taken to our next flights as we had been told they would be waiting for us. The airline rep in charge of my group refused to tell us any information, however, only admitting after we got confrontational with her that we had missed our flights. She then offered no information about what would happen to us, telling us we'd find out when we got to the rebooking counter. Very unprofessional. I was told that I would have to wait for another 24 hours for the next flight, necessitating that I would spend the night in Qatar. I was put up in a hotel that was decent, but again that offered very little in terms of customer service. We were given an $80 meal allowance, but despite me not using it, I was nickeled and dimed in other aspects to where I ended up paying $20 to help reschedule a flight that I had missed in my destination country. The whole ordeal was a nightmare and mostly due to poor communication and very cold, almost robotic interactions with the QA staff on the ground in Doha."

Cons: "Even though we landed in Doha before our connection left ( barely-20 min)on Qatar airways, they would not hold the connecting flight for the 7 of us who were connecting. This was extremely disappointing as we then lost a full 8 hours of our first day arrival. If they schedule you for a 45 minute connecting flight, I suggest you book a later one. Our flight from NYC left on time but was 20 min late landing. Their only compensation to us all was use of the airport lounge in Doha ( quite nice with free food wine and showers, but would rather have had the extra day in Bali."

Every time you watch a new TV episode, you have to sit through 5-6 ads for stuff that is not interesting and the same each time. ** plane info on media system keeps reverting to Arabic even when English is indicated as preferred la gauge. We had to place our iPads in checked luggage for flights from harare to USA as we went through Qatar. *** I asked for quiet seats and was given seats near kitchen and toilet even though I booked in hours in advance. One leg had my ten year old daughter and I in different rows even though I checked in 4-5 hours in advance Of flight . ** staff moved my hand luggage without my permission and without informing me - it was stressful trying to find it."

This caused me to miss onnnection flight. There was very poor information or guidance by staff once we arrived into airport. I had to walk long long distances from the gate without assistance. I had requested wheelchair assistance considering I just had spinal cord surgery and In need of assistance. I was forced to stay over night in Istanbul and waited over 12 hours next day in airport for next available flight to Thessaloniki. I missed my brothers wedding night and could not be his best man for wedding from ordeal which was not fair! I also payed a premium price close to 1000k USA dollars for flight I could of booked many tickets with such a long layover and extra expenses buying a visa and food for half the fare I payed. This was not fair especially when a plane is diverted for medical emergency! To top it all off being a medical doctor I loaned and assisted staff with passenger and offered my consultation. services to emergency medical physician whom was called by crew for help and finally which reccomended to divert flight to Manchester to assist the passenger In crisis! Your welcome Turkish Airlbes Kindly Dr Tamir Kharouba MD"

Cons: "Turkish Airline’s needs to improve their online experience. Please just pay someone to fix it - you don’t have the city of Los Angeles as a option for home address. In case TA’s web developers are reading this, Los Angeles is the city with LAX in it. I guess you don’t have to know every city, but maybe download a complete list of cities and use that? There are lots of open source options and I can help you, if it gets confusing. Or, alternatively, allow users to type their city with a keyboard. Scrolling through every city in the state of California is not easier than typing Los Angeles. Especially when arriving at Los Gatos and thinking “wait... did I miss it?” That’s not the only thing wrong with your website, but start here. Look Turkish airlines is wonderful, I’m just saying that it was hell actually buying a ticket and signing up for your rewards program."

Cons: "Because we were late, my baggage didn't get transferred. I had to ask around to find out who handles Turkish air baggage issues in Tel Aviv. I found out within a out half an hour what would happen -- you had them delivered to where I was staying the next day. It all went smoothly and fortunately I had allowed extra time after I arrived ... no problems. And the people who handled your baggage claims were professional."

Cons: "First of all the staff needs to work on their customers service. The flight was 1 hour and 45 min late and I had another flight to get in Istanbul to get to my final destination. I almost did not make it. The staff never gave us an explanation about what happened at the JFK I flew for 10 hours scared and stressed out. I asked the staff if it was possible at the time of landing to get out with the business class or somehow to get out before everybody else, but they were completely useless. Also in the middle of the flight a woman started feeling very bad. She had an intense migraine because of the high pressure, clearly the woman was not used to fly very often. The poor woman was ill and the entire crew was surrounding her. 7 ppl standing in the way of customers, a male attendant touched my shoulder with his private parts at least 5 times. Also every time they passed by the would hurt my shoulder or my arm with out even apologize. What kind of customer service is this? Forgetting about all the other passengers? Creating a situation of panick just because of how unprofessional they are? You can be the most comfortable or cheapest airline company and add all the luggage and food you want but if your crew doesn't know anything in customer service the customer will fly with a different company next time!"

No updates from the staff about our departure status or boarding status throughout the almost 2 hour delay. Got an email from Turkish airlines about this issue and they claim the flight was only 25 minutes late departing. Exaggerations occur sometimes when people are inconvenienced so I checked my call logs and social media accounts and found I completed multiple phone calls and status updates from New York over and hour after Turkish airlines tells me I left. One of us is lying and at this point I'm inclined to agree with facebook that I was still in JFK airport an hour after my flight was scheduled to leave when I updated my status to gripe about the delays."

The flight from JFK got delayed and for unknown reason when arriving to the gate in Istanbul my seat was given to other passengers - though I came to the gate before the boarding was closed. I would never recommend taking Turkish airlines to anyone"

Cons: "As our first flight got delayed, me and 28 other pallengers flying to israel told the airline agents that we would miss our connection flightfrom turkey to israel. The supervisor assured us that we have nothing to worry about, as the second plane would wait as we are many passengers.however when we landed in turkey the connection flight had already left without us. When trying to speak to turkish airline representatives about getting a new flight, they were super UNhelpful, we waited in very long lines and were required so go to a few different parts of the airport to get a new ticket, a process that was not friendly at all and very frustrating. After about 2 hours of waiting on lines, i got a flight that required me to wait 7 hours in the airport and measley voucher for a very small fast food meal. When i asked to be admitted to the lounge (as i waited 7 hours in the airport due to the airlines mistake), they did not agree to grant me access. When i asked to at least get the wifi code from the lounge so i can tell my familly that i am stuck on turkey, this was also rejected. While waiting in the airport, i spoke to many other people on other flights who had been stuck in the airport under very simillar circumstances, some even worse than mine. I also have many friends who have experiences simillar experiences with turkish airlines. If you are looking for a reliable flight, that will get you to your destination on time and will help you out when a problem occurs, Turkish airlines is deffinetelly NOT the flight for you. I personally will never fly with them again after the way i was treated."

I've flown the following for reference: Lufthansa Air Swiss Delta Air France Air Arabia Saudi Airlines Egypt Air and a couple more I can't think of right now. I'm a very medium sized build and really short (5' 6") and I was so uncomfortable I wanted to (and probably will) cancel my return flight with them. My wife's back is still hurting from that flight. The staff are just plain awful save for 2 flight attendants. Out of 2 flights so far. I was told afterwards that this is commonplace when flying Turkish Airlines. For fairness sake I should mention that both Egypt Air and Saudi Airlines were worse. Whatever money you think you're saving by flying this atrocity you're gonna be spending on fixing your neck and back. Spend the extra and go with Swiss or even Delta. Avoid this rubbish"

"The food was terrible. My luggage did not make it from NY to Heathrow as best I can tell. American says that British Air had it and lost it. It took them four days to get it to me. Also the food on American from SFO to JFK was superior to that of JFK to Heathrow. I also did not get my Global Entry TSA Pre status on the British Air issued tickets and had to do the whole thing in security which was a drag. It was not a good experience. The fully reclining bed with the privacy configuration was definitely the best of any of the airlines so an excellent for the plane seat / bed configuration."

I don't normally suffer claustrophobia on flights, but I seriously almost stepped off the plane immediately after stepping on, given the low ceiling, and confining nature of the plane. If it had been a full flight, I'm not sure I would have made it without a full blown panic attack of claustrophobia."

Cons: "Seven hours before my flight, I got an email from British Airways saying my flight was cancelled and I had been rebooked on a flight the next day. I called them immediately and was told the flight was cancelled because of inclement weather on the route. I checked the national weather advisory and saw no such weather alert. The service rep at BA told me there was "absolutely nothing" she could do, at which point I asked for a manager. I waited for almost 30 minutes, and once the manager came on I was put on a flight that same night, on a different airline. If I hadn't pushed back and demanded a more reasonable accommodation, they would have done nothing to right their wrong. For this reason I am extremely unhappy with my experience with British Airways."

When we checked in for the flight, we had no ticket for the first leg of the flight, but we had tickets for the remaining flights. We immediately called to fix this problem, but due to slow customer service, we weren't issued tickets in time and the flight left without us. We missed all remaining connecting flights and were forced to buy New tickets. Now we have to work with kayak/priceline to get all my money back due to their error. We came back a day later than expected and missed going back to work."

Cons: "The food was absolutely appalling on both flights... We received a cheese snack. It was an old sesame seed bun ,with a very thin, small slice of cheese which you could hardly taste on it. With that they placed cucumber, that does not add to the taste of the dish, but only makes the bread soggy. There is also a piece of lettuce on that is past its crunchy freshness it is supposed to have. The last ingredient is sun-dried tomato that was the only ray of light for a poor effort of a snack by BA. I can truly say that during the past year BA's in flight food service on local flights, are on a downward spiral and almost in the dumps."

There was paperwork delaying the craft to fly, the re-fueling took over an 1 hour due to not knowing how much fuel to put into this larger plane. There were also difficulties on the plane other then a passenger being ill, the craft had some engine issues after landing in St.Johns - the pilot tried to keep crowd control by lying to the passengers. As we finally got up into the air, knowing that we missed our connecting flight to Budapest from london already- it was stressful. Then as we approached Europe we were told we have to land in Dublin due to the crew working too many hours... Which the pilot had to of known as we departed from St. John's yet he told us we were on our way to London. We waited in the airport in Dublin Ireland for at least 3-4 hours we were told another crew would bring us to London at 3pm yet we didn't even board until 5-6pm. We finally got to London 12 hours after we were suppose to arrive. And to our final destination 14 hours after we were suppose to arrive. I expect a complete refund from this flight from JFK- Budapest. It was the worst experience ever."

After wasting all the time getting the money to pay for the extra bag fee the staff were rushing me to get to the plane and threatening me I would be left behind even though it's not my fault I'm running late. The person who served us, Victor K., was probably the least helpful customer service personnel I've come across. He was very slow, considering that he knows there's a lot of us trying to get to our next flight. We ended up missing our connecting flight. And for some reason, the plane left earlier than the time it was supposed to leave. Another mystery to me. Shouldn't their system have told them that there were a few passengers on the previous flight that was supposed to board this connecting flight?! They did give us a free hotel for the night, or so they call a hotel. The food served was just horrendous. They just served whatever is enough to be considered "food". I will never fly with Kenya airways ever again. They are so unreliable, irresponsible, and have very little regard to customer service."

My ticket had 4 legs : Nov 28 due to leave JNB at 1:20 finally left at 8:30 due to NBO runway closed from plane belly landing - the pilot was very apologetic - LATE. Dec 5 NBO to Entebbe was an hour late due to "passenger problem and luggage taken off" - LATE. Dec 10 Entebbe to NBO left an hour late due to "plane arriving late" - LATE. Dec 10 NBO to Johannesburg was an hour late due to "technical difficulties" - LATE. All 4 flights were at least an hour late leaving and arriving yet the pilots all said thanks for flying Kenya Airways - the Pride of Africa. This is what Africa should be proud of ?!? and Kenya Airways is proud of ?!? Passengers I talked to all were negative in their comments about Kenya Airways. All said there is ALWAYS something of a problem on a Kenya Airways flight. Lady on NBO to EBB flight next to me as we boarded plane and I said everything has gone smoothly so far, replied - the flight isn't over yet - and then we sat in the plane for an hour while they "removed passengers luggage". A man in NBO departure area as we waited to board JNB late flight said, the procedures and organisation are terrible with problems most of the time, which was why he was using up his reward miles because he didn't want to fly Kenya Airways again. This is the culture of this airline which is allowed to continue with seemingly no regard for the paying customers. If the powers that be such as the FAA, imposed a $100 credit to each passenger for late leaving or arriving, I would have received $400 back on a ticket that cost $750. Maybe the airlines would do something practical to remedy their problems and care for the paying customers rather than just saying "we are sorry for any inconvenience "."

Pros: "That we eventually left"
Cons: "Our flight was delayed because the airport shut down. When the airport opened again. They gave us a departure time 4 hours after our original departure time (1:20 am). 1:20 came and went without any more communication or information. 1:40 am arrived and someone from KQ showed up at our gate and said they do not have any additional information. We said there are children here and hungry, tired, frustrated people. We suggested they distribute waters or snacks, but that never happened. They just kept telling us they didnt know when the flight would take off (or if it would) nor when they would have any additional information. An hour later they made one announcement over the speaker at our gate that our flight was boarding at another gate. However, many people had fallen asleep on the floor as I had and I would have missed it if one of my fellow passengers hadnt woken me up to say that we were boarding. We then sat on the tarmac a while longer for reasons that were not explained and finally landed 7 hours later than scheduled. Very little effort was put into communicating to us, making our wait comfortable nor apologizing for the inconvenience. It was a very frustrating experience."

Pros: "Even though the flight was delayed, I still made it to the airport in a reasonable time."
Cons: "The headphone jack in my seat had a broken jack in it and I wasn't able to enjoy the in flight entertainment"

Cons: "The entire experience with Kenya air was terrible, from the very poor customer service and knowledge and honesty of the staff, to the flight itself."

Pros: "The flight was not delayed."
