Cons: "Could not check in online or at the kiosk (the flight was part of an overall ticket bought on Air New Zealand). Only one checked bag per ticket, but we had an extra bag because of the international legs. An employee got us checked in, bags tagged, and convinced us to carry on one more bag."

Pros: "NOTHING - THE TRIP WAS A NIGHTMARE AND I WILL NEVER TRAVEL WITH QANTAS AGAIN IF I CAN HELP IT. QANTAS WAS ALWAYS MY FIRST CHOICE BUT I WILL GO THE LONG WAY ROUND TO AVOID CREW & CONDITIONS LIKE THAT AGAIN. NO PILLOW,BLANKET OR TOILET PACK AND THEY RAN OUT OF FOOD. I WILL TELL EVERYONE ABOUT THIS!"
Cons: "Dark haired male crew member extremely rude except to two in row I58 & J58 who got 5 beers before departure,Food before everyone else, a gift pack from 1st class given before landing. I was refused extra bottled water. No entertainment the whole flight, Loud buzzing in galley 60H entire trip."

Cons: "it was their fault that the plane was delayed (mechanical problems), when i asked to be transferred to jfk instead of newark, the employees at melbourne said it's not possible. basically it was their problem but refused to be accountable to it or to accommodate passengers"
Cons: "We came from a week of 45° heat to air conditioning with misting capability, very impressive, loved it. But l got very cold, my own fault didn't a ask for a blanket quick enough."

Cons: "Initial checkin/boarding in Perth was quite long and everyone was fairly irritated by the lack of employees working. Wait time for check in was approx 45 min. Automated systems weren’t working."
Pros: "Economy seats were surprisingly comfortable . As usual not enough toilets!! The boarding in Jnb was the usual security schlepp but all in all no complaints and I will certainly fly this route and use this carrier again."
Cons: "Not enough toilets on board - peolequeing forever to get a chance,really tough on the parents with children."

Cons: "The airport closure wasn't PALs fault but the absolute lack of organisation and an attitude "act of God so look after yourself" is disgusting. Flying business expected some service but had nothing and they smiled and said they rebooked me 16 days later. Other airlines would book you on different carriers but not PAL. Last time no matter what special deal they offer."

Pros: "Such amazing service and hospitality on our flight from Jozi to Sydney. Old school 747 looking top class. Cabin crew on point. Simply an amazing experience. Best international flight I’ve been on in years."
Cons: "Flight was an hour late leaving. This caused me to miss the connection in Sydney (even though its gate was still shown as open when we arrived. There were a quite a few passengers booked on the connecting flight but Qantas made no attempt to get us on board it and instead re-booked us for the next flight which was scheduled for 2.5 hours later but, in fact, left nearly 3.5 hours later. Breakfast consisted of rubber egg."

Pros: "Crew member Alex in the Economy main cabin was wonderful. He tried to memorise as many passenger names as he could as they boarded, and clearly has an amazing capacity to do so. His attitude -- that doing this is worthwhile -- is unusual and highly commendable. He immediately put people at ease. He was attentive, helpful, and very pleasant to all passengers throughout the very long journey. He was a remarkable crew member, turning a journey I had dreaded into one that was memorable."
Pros: "Quantas rerouted our SFO - SDY non stop trouble LAX to pick up 28 Passengers!! So 270 Passengers ha to endure an additional 3grs 30 min. No compensation not even a drink voucher! Not up to Quantas standards."
Cons: "747 not as pleasant or spacious as A380"
Pros: "Liked the food, flight attendants, entertainment and overall comfort even though it's just economy. You just have to come prepared with what you need to stay entertained and comfortable ie snacks, comfortable clothes and shoes, jacket or sweater, pillow, headphones, music. Better of you can bring your own headphones that use bluetooth and headphone jack cable."
Cons: "Boarding process is chaotic at best and starts 20 minutes before take off. It works but it's very chaotic for economy passengers. I am sure it's much easier and nicer for premium economy and business select and first class passengers so you get what you pay for lol."
Pros: "Although we were seated in economy and legroom would be tight, we had a truly great flight. The staff are all sweet, smiling, considerate and helpful. The snacks kept coming and the meals were delicious! We’re were treated so nicely, I hope to always travel on Qantas to visit my grandkids. My last United flight wasn’t even close to being comparable. In fact, I dreaded the thought of the long flight but Qantas has changed my view and now I have NO reservations when contemplating future visits."
Cons: "My husband is a lacto ova vegetarian. If I checked that, then he wouldn’t have been able to pre-order the delicious vegetarian bechamel lasagne. He would’ve received a meal specifically designed for him. Best way to order next time in order to get the pre-ordered dinner/lunch and then the lacto ova for the breakfast?"

Cons: "The flight was cancelled due to technical difficulties. But the airline did not plan ahead and was understaffed to take care of the individuals on the airline to speed up the process of waiting in lines. They knew we were coming and still only had 2 individuals on staff to take care of hundreds of people so the lines were longer than needed to be. Poor planning and accommodating of individuals during this time has made me not want to fly with this airline again."
Pros: "Despite the delay in boarding, we were greeted with a smile from the crew. Meal service went well and love the 3 choices of meals offered in economy"

Cons: "Boarding was shambolic and all passengers on a 100% full flight were crowded into a small area near the gate with no clear idea of what was going on and ground staff could not be heard, it actually bordered on becoming dangerous. Full flight Poor maintenance of inflight entertainment system, sound jack ports loose and affects sound quality."
Cons: "Took 2.5 hours to get the first refreshments. While there was some turbulence, when they finally did get the carts rolling there were clearly time management and inventory issues. They recovered and the rest of the trip went smoothly, but not a good way to start a 15 hour flight."

Cons: "Business class seating is not of international standard. Time to put upgraded accommodation in business class on this sector. I will not be flying this sector again with Qantas."
Pros: "I knew what to do without having been there before, thanks to electronic info available at my seat, in-flight announcements and signage at the airport."
Pros: "Relatively smooth flight. Good snacks at back of plane. Plenty of bathrooms. Crew were courteous and helpful."
Cons: "Headphone jack and USB charging jack didn't work. So wasn't able to watch any movies. Arm rest was broken. When the seat in front reclines it gets very tight forcing you to recline and do it to the person behind you. Needs refurbishing. The seats are in poor shape and are pretty tight."
Pros: "Crew was attentive and pleasant. Came around often to make all was ok. Seats were comfortable for a flight that long with the pillows and blankets provided."
Cons: "The fact that it took off a half hour late. This was blamed on a passsenger and their paperwork. While I can appreciate they took a little extra time that amount was in my opinion too much. With running that late along with the grounds crew taking over an hour to get the bags off the plane, we along with many others missed our connecting flight. Based on the oh well attitude of the supposed manager at American Airlines/qantas I won't be taking qantas on my next trip."
Pros: "The crew is always nice and approachable. The entertainment is usually high but this time around there weren't many good choices."
Cons: "The food is AWFUL, and has been getting worse as the years go on. Absolutely terrible taste, stomach-churning smells and gross consistency. During boarding I was profiled by one of your gate agents and "selected for further screening" ... not fun. No explanations, just surly, inattentive agents performing further checks on items that had already been twice-checked at security. Awful service."

Cons: "The plane is well outdated. Cramped seats for a 14 hour flight. Minuscule TV screens. The 747 is a health hazard for flights over 6 hours. Bring on a Dreamliner or an A383 for that flight - PLEASE!!!"
Pros: "Crew on the plane was a group of wonderful ladies. Always smiling & pleasant, even when they had to move people around. Great service with a smile."
Cons: "No info ahead of time about checking in. Once we got to the airport, I was told that I should have known better & checked in 24 hours prior. initially, the agent said that all seats are appropriated randomly. At the gate, I'm told different. I had to fight tooth & nail to get a seat next to my wife (who often gets airsick). It didn't feel good to have to argue & make a scene to accomplish this."
Cons: "Was seated in the center section and after getting settled and buckled in I kept smelling vomit and realized the seatbelt had dried vomit all over it. I couldn't get the flight attendant to help and finally got their attention and was told they couldn't do anything until after we were in the air. I was moved away from my family to another center seat. The flight had many open seats and we should have been kept together."

Pros: "First time I flew Qantas and it was a flight from Melb- Dubai and then Dubai - London. I sat in row 62 and the food three times the food selection had run out the fruits and beef curry. I wasn't able to check in online which was quite annoying. The crew from Melb-Dubai were fantastic. So friendly and talkative and I think one was called Jordan."
