Pros: We loved our one night stay at Dar Nekhla. It is a beautiful riad in a palm grove, the owner was very welcoming, the food was great and servings - very generous. The rooms are nice as well with everything you would expect in Morocco.
Cons: We liked everything, but it would have been great to have some toiletries in addition to a bar of soap; cotton bedding sheets would have been nice as well.

Pros: Lovely Garden, fresh Air, nice Location

Cons: Nothing, it's all very pleasant
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Large room, swimming pool and beautiful garden, helpful and kind staff. After a day's journey here was amazing.
7,1 Good
Pros: Peaceful and comfortable Kasbah. Lovely pool area for relaxing and eating around
Cons: Could be closer to town
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The outdoor was very nice. There was a bar and attentive staff who served our meals around the pool.
Cons: The room was a little disappointing, a hard mattress underlay, no hand towel, very basic in contrast to the outdoor ambience.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: I choose this hotel because of swiminpool and sound insulation. I expect better insulation but still we had here the best privacy, and we had been in 10 different accomodiation in Morroco.
7,9 Good
Pros: Very spacious room, clean and above all the friendly staff.
Cons: There was no towels inside the bathroom for when you wash your hands or face.

Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk and luggage storage. Guests may use a roundtrip airport shuttle for a surcharge, and free self parking is available onsite.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: A Lovely Camp. Its best asset is elHoussin, the attendant when we were there. He is charming, gracious and hugely accommodating. Nothing was too much for him. He made our experience. If you go ask him to walk you in the hills above the plains. Breathtaking. His knowledge of local lore and lifestyle only added to our experience. Thank You El Houssin.
Cons: The initial reception in Zagora is hard to find and not hugely friendly
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Everything else. We stayed in a suite tent which was more comfortable than many hotel rooms we've stayed in. Great beds with good pillows, hot shower and everything. Friendly staff .Recommended!
Cons: The tajine for dinner wasn't the best.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Samir the owner is very personable. Staff is great. Kept me busy both days of my stay. Good stay in desert. Omar was great. Slept the best on both nights.
Cons: Nothing
7,5 Good
Pros: Very friendly staff and beautiful tents, nice live music at night by the fire.
Cons: The location in the valley is beautiful, but I think it would be wiser for the management not to publicize the nearby dunes, which are really small and quite a let down. If we hadn't expected to find sandy dunes, the first impression would have been much better as the location is indeed quite pretty and the staff is super friendly and helpful.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Sleep under the moon and stars and let recharge your battery!! A must do!!
8,3 Excellent
Pros: It was an fantastic experience, the food was delicious, Omar the host was very nice, the tents were clean and comfortable, the view was wonderful. We loved to watch the sunset, sunrise and the beautiful stars in the night. Additionally, it was easy to get there buy car, so you have all the stuff with you. If you don't want to ride a camel this is a great alternative.
Cons: The office, where you get the information, how to get to the Bivouac, made a messy impression at first due to the strange location and the dark office room.
5,4 Okay
Pros: The tents were nice and clean.
Cons: I didnť like the fact, that we had to drive like 30 km to have a camel ride (the place didn't look like a desert at all - it was just a huge heap of sand in the middle of nowhere). After the camel ride, we had to drive back to the office and then get back in our car to drive 20 km to reach the camp... Zagora can't be compared with Merzouga. Merzouga is MUCH better. Also, booking.com provided me with information, that breakfast is for free and it turned out that it wasn't. We had to pay extra for the breakfast (at least we got a discount from the owner because I explained that it should have been for free according to booking and showed them online)...
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Samir, Omar, Ahmed, Abdu, all these guys deserve to be known. They’re all very friendly and they want all the best for your stay. I definitely recommend it

9,6 Excellent
Pros: It is a very large property with a restaurant on site. Gorgeous grounds and area.
Cons: They do not have a credit card machine. And as a family of 4, we had to book 2 separate rooms.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The manager from the Riad was very helpful and pleasant. We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful oasis!
4,2 Okay
Pros: Upon check in we where upgraded to a bungalow double room from the African double room, i did not book the bungalow room as i could see they are packed in close to each other, i booked the African room for the space around it. The bungalow room does have a terrace on top of it but ours was half full of junk. loads of old wire about 50 black light light tubes and 2 stands for the light tubes. We asked to be moved to the room we had booked, they said they would show use a room but there was building work going on in the area. the room we where shown was one of there modernized tents, which are not quite tents anymore because the African double i had booked or i should say all 5 had been ripped to bits as they are modernizing them also. So who knows what room you will get when you book. We stayed in the African side, we had it all to our self's it was so peaceful. A swimming pool is needed on the African side too. The furniture in the room was dusty and needs a good clean. The wooded floor was uneven with sharp corners sticking up. And the wheel barrow seats on the terrace look good at a first glance but are uncomfortable and wobble around when sitting in them and nearly fall over when you get up. The pool is small and shallow, is more of a kids pool.
Cons: Not being given the room i had booked or not even an explanation why we where put in a different room.
3,3 Mediocre
Pros: Even not change the bed sheet
Cons: I never going to stay there
5,8 Okay
Pros: Large rooms.
Cons: Bathroom very basic. Air conditioner barely kept up with the temperature. Fridge didn't work. Nice location but the facility is very tired and much in need of a through refresh. Evening meal OK but only marginal. Breakfast best described as basic.
5,4 Okay
Cons: Works at the property, no water when we arrived , and later on no hot water. It looked like the property had been closed.
5,8 Okay
Pros: I suppose Lamane is one of the better Riads in Zagora. And if I were to compare it to the camp in Sahara it’s probably a luxury.
Cons: Shower is dysfunctional, so is the credit card payment terminal.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: IT WAS PERFECT
10,0 Excellent
Pros: A wonderful place to stay! The room (bungalow) was spacious, clean and very private,. The whole site is like an oasis, with palmtrees, little terraces, and a large garden. Good breakfast and good food for dinner. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed the hamam and spa! If I ever get back in the region (inshallah!) I will definitely stay here!

7,1 Good
Pros: Pool is great after a day of driving in the heat. AC in my room could have been a little more performant. Breakfast is out of this world! Gardens are delightful.
Cons: Location could be better, not a place you want to walk around at night as it is a bit out of the main town center. AC could work better..... Still waiting for an answer after contacting them about a clothing item we left behind accidentally...
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Nice staff, very near to the ctm and wonderful garden.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Pretty garden and pool area. Big hotel with different options for eating areas and an outside bar. Low season so little choice in menu, food OK. Breakfast included croissant! Easy to walk into town.
Cons: Staff seemed jaded, not as warm a welcome as elsewhere. Wifi only available in downstairs seating area.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is well-located, the owner is extremely kind, he waited for my partner and me until 11 p.m. The room is ample and comfortable. The view on the garden and the Zagora's mountain is stunning as the breakfast.
5,8 Okay
Pros: - Pleasant hotel, in particular also the swimming pool is great after a day/night in the dessert. The garden is beautiful. - Rooms nothing fancy, but also not expensive - They organised a good tour for us with overnight stay in the dessert, we could leave our luggage in a room.
Cons: - unfortunately, we were missing jewellery (ring) and a bottle of perfume after our visit here. Make sure to put all valuables in a save place, also when you do not leave the hotel, but go for breakfast or a swim. There is no safe. - The hotel (and place) was very quiet when we were there (July), would have enjoyed a bit more vibrancy. - The swimming pool was not clean enough, we all had green stains in our swimming wear that were hard to get rid of.

Kasbah Hotel Saharasky - Zagora - Bedroom

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Right next door to sand dunes. Dinner was delicious, it’s like having dinner with your family. Beautiful skies and Patrick knows the stars
6,3 Good
Pros: 4 stars for a three-star accommodation I booked this place after comparing prices for isolated desert camps in the Zagora area. I suspected that the various forms of tented accommodation were inauthentic and hideously overpriced. This place, dedicated to a very specific niche market (astronomers) promised the expansive skies of the desert and some wonderfully arcane fort-like architecture within a few minutes walk of the Dunes de Tinfou. The rooms were large, clean, and very comfortable. The patio faced away from the Tinfou dunes, but that means it was also away from the wind, which blows sand everywhere. There is a bar, and good beer. The staff were extremely caring and kind, especially when I got sick after eating something bad in Zagora. Patrick, the charismatic and inimitable resident astronomer, runs evening classes in star gazing which are interesting for the amateur and the expert alike. The place, however, has an air of dereliction. The internet is almost non-existent, to the extent that the reception staff were unaware of my booking made a week previously, although the owner had responded to me several times by email (from Germany). As with all of Morocco, user reviews are a much more accurate gauge of value than price. Given my three-week experience in the country, I would say this hotel was worthy of four stars as a three star hotel. Likes: Architecture, isolation, the desert experience, the deep night skies
Cons: _Overpriced for what you get, almost no internet
7,9 Good
Pros: Good breakfast, fantastic observatory with lots of associated reference material. Friendly, accessible, helpful staff and proprietor. Lots of maps/advice for trips. Helpful with printing out our flight passes, getting cash and phoned our car rental for us to help sort out an issue.
Cons: Bathrooms could be improved with some extra detailing such as fittings to hold the shower so you could stand under it rather than hold it. Plugs for bath and sinks and nice soap or shower gel. Tagines in evening were good but soup probably came out of a packet so not very interesting.
7,9 Good
Pros: The best part- and I think the main draw here- was stargazing with Patrick. We paid 10 euro each for this experience and it was totally worth it. He is knowledgeble and enthusiastic and I think he would have easily stayed out there all night with us if we had wished. As it was, we were frozen after about 2 hours (in December) and had to call it quits finally. Just wonderful. The dunes are small, but if you can't make it to the real desert, this is the next best thing.
Cons: This isn't a 5 star hotel. When you've accepted that, I think you'll find everything pretty acceptable. My only issue was the dinner: it was overpriced for what you get. For 15 euro per person, I would have expected at least complementary water or tea to be served. We stayed in several other places during our holiday and average price for dinner was 10 euros- and that included tea/water. The meal was very average too. Perhaps try your luck in the nearby town for dinner.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The location of this hotel is fantastic. It stands on its own surrounded by stunning scenery with no neighbours except a handful of Berber tents. I’ve not been to a place like it. The staff are welcoming, friendly and attentive, the food is absolutely delicious. Meeting Fritz the owner was a pleasure, I learned more about Morocco in 10 minutes with him than I did for the rest of the entire trip. His star gazing session was both interesting and amusing, his telescopes are impressive. If he suggests the trip with Tarik then take it, once in a lifetime opportunity.
Cons: The decor of the property is dated although this very much adds to the charm. The bathroom facilities leave a little to be desired.
5,4 Okay
Pros: We came here because of the possibility to spend a night on the roof looking at stars. The astronomer who assisted us (Patrick) was very clever, very experienced and able making the matter accessible also to our daughters; he also made his best to allow us seeing some very interesting stuff even if the sky was partly cloudy. So full marks and a big thank you to Patrick! Also the equipment on the roof - telescopes etc - is impressive.
Cons: The hotel and food, on the other hand, are very poor even compared to the Morocco desert standard. Basically it was the worst hotel (really poor furniture and dirty) and dinner (one of the worst tajine) in a two-weeks tour in south Morocco. And the cost was twice the standard! So very bad marks to the hotel and restaurant.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The stargazing with the very friendly Patrick. The evening with Patrick was the highlight of our trip to Marokko. We also enjoyed the dinner prepared by the friendly staff.
Cons: Nothing. Everything was just perfect!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Really an extraordinary place, right at the edge of the desert amidst a vast and plain landscape. On the rooftop, you have an impressive view on the night sky full of bright stars -- plus you get a fascinating and patient introduction into astronomy by Patrick (not to forget the four professional telescopes). Good place to calm down and socialise, but also for excursions. Staff is friendly and helpful. We'll certainly come back again.

Great place to recharge the batteries and chill out with a cold beer or mint tea and swim after the Erg Chegaga. Rooms are large cool and roomy, ours had a functional open fire, which would be wonderful on a chilly winter night. A place to read a book and snooze in the courtyard gardens, wonderful.

9,2 Excellent
Pros: Staff were really helpful and friendly and made us feel very welcome.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We came back from a desert trip in Mhamid and this small Oasis near Zagora city was a great place for a 1 night recovery with friendly & helpful staff. You can feel the passion of the owner and his team to make la petite Kasbah a success. The swimming pool area was cozy and comfortable. We recommend having dinner at the rooftop. Good food and a fantastic evening view of the mountains. As a nice finishing touch the owner gave us a jar of our favorite Citron Marmelade of the breakfast at checkout. :)
Cons: More directive recommendation or a map about visiting Zagora or walking through the palm tree would have been helpful. We kind of winged it ourselves, which was also fine.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Very warm welcome give us a Feeling to Come home. Very Gold Breakfast and Diner for reasonable prices
Cons: Nothing

Pros: Very friendly staff at this hidden gem of a property outside of Zagora. My husband left his wallet in the room and they found it and returned it. Nice pool and great breakfast. Cons: I can't think of one negative.

Pros: The best accommodation we had during our trip in Morocco (8 accommodations in total). The place looks lovely, nicely decorated, with a swimming pool and a rooftop terrace. Very lovely and peaceful inside and nice staff.

Pros: Even not change the bed sheet
Cons: I never going to stay there

Pros: Large rooms.
Cons: Bathroom very basic. Air conditioner barely kept up with the temperature. Fridge didn't work. Nice location but the facility is very tired and much in need of a through refresh. Evening meal OK but only marginal. Breakfast best described as basic.

Cons: Works at the property, no water when we arrived , and later on no hot water. It looked like the property had been closed.

Pros: I suppose Lamane is one of the better Riads in Zagora. And if I were to compare it to the camp in Sahara it’s probably a luxury.
Cons: Shower is dysfunctional, so is the credit card payment terminal.
