The bed was the only thing that was not up to standard.. very cheap mattress . Bar was on the expensive side. Would not stop me from returning though

Hotel is located in a Beautiful setting, the spa facilities are 5* definitely worth spending a bit of time in before the busy night and the room was immaculate. Although we didn’t eat on site the restaurant offered a fantastic choice of food at reasonable prices. Another quirky asset this hotel has is the fat abbot which is a pub located within the grounds of the hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
Location for travelling into York is a taxi ride away.
