10,0 Excellent
Pros: What a charming hotel. The staff are friendly and attentive. There is a variety of interesting artwork and one is encouraged to have a look around at the pieces located throughout. The pub and restaurant attached offer delicious fare at reasonable prices, and the bar man took me through a tour of local whiskies. This place is full of character - both the hotel and its staff! The hotel couldn't be more centrally located, being right on the octagon with all activities within a short walk.
Cons: That I couldn't stay longer.

Pros: Great location. Didn't like the wet room though. Water goes everywhere making it dangerous to just walk into the bathroom no matter how much you clean up after a shower. Parking is a nightmare outside too.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Westport Country Lodge is a gem! We had originally booked a place in town but decided to try this place instead. What a joy!! The property is GORGEOUS, and the surrounding hills and distant mountains are absolutely breathtaking. The comfort was first-rate. The lady who checked us in, Ro, was a treasure, and we felt so blessed to be "in her care"... She went out of her way to help us with anything we needed, and she could not have been more lovely and more personable! The whole staff was a delight, and they make you feel so welcomed. When we needed transportation to another town, Ro contacted the father of one of the housekeeping staff (Collette) who had a taxi service. Mr. Tony was a true Irish gentleman. He not only got us to our destination safely but went out of his way to help when our original accommodation fell through and we had no place to stay. His fatherly concern for we three ladies was so endearing. I just wish I could give this place a higher rating. We can't wait to go back!
Cons: There was NOTHING to dislike about this place, the people, or the town. It was simply perfect.

Pros: This property we stayed in was self service. It was a lovely cottage that had plenty of room. It had everything we needed. It was v v cold though but it was a v stormy night. Slight smell in the bathroom/bedroom area down stairs. Plenty of space for families. Two TVs which was great. Great base and plenty of forks/knifes etc. Overall very good value for money. If your looking for a luxurious stay this isn’t for you but for the price it was great and we were v happy with it and the quaintness of the cottage. Plenty of parking outside and if weather wasn’t so bad we could have walked into town but it was a 20 min walk and it rained all weekend. Overall very happy.

Pros: Location was good.
Cons: Breakfast was extremely disappointing. We were given toast with blue mould and a very hard scone which was inedible as it was so hard. Having read the reviews written by previous guests about the excellent breakfast we were shocked with the the poor quality of food presented to us. The waitress was very unprofessional in dealing with these issues. The fan in bathroom wasn’t working, therefore no ventilation as there was no window. A hairdryer had loose wires which is dangerous and there was a very loose headboard. Overall a very disappointing experience.
