Pros: Nice and tidy rooms, good personal, big shower room.
Cons: Breakfasts are always the same. yogurt, ham, cheese, butter, bread, coffee, cookies, boiled eggs.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The apartment was spotless, nicely decorated and big enough for a family of four. Comfy beds. The staff was flexible and very friendly, always ready to help or answer any questions. We can highly recommend.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice, cozy and quiet location is always an advantage. Very picturesque view outside. Two main Selden's ski areas are 15 min(max 20) drive from Vent and there is a small ski-lift nearby in the center which we never used. "Gurgl"s are 3 times bigger. No doubt you will desire to come back (We already want to :) ). One hint. There are no supermarkets only small souvenir shops with some snacks and several restaurants in Vent. The nearest is in Selden (anyway you will ski there!) but, anyway, 10 out of 10 this time!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful view from the window and balcony, Proximity of the ski bus (which is free for skiers in winter season), restaurants, ski service etc., Very nice owners who told us everything about the area, including prospects, Oetztal premium card included (in summer season) which gives plenty of opportunities to move freely around the valley, Dogs :D
Cons: The only small thing I missed a little was vegetables for breakfast, but I understand that availability at this time of year can be difficult.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Good breakfast. The room was very clean with a good sized shower. Very friendly staff and knowledgeable about the local skiing.
Cons: Nothing
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The owner was very friendly and helpful!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The room and the Haus were exceptional in my opinion. We had the 2 bedroom apartment that had a really nice living room with an open kitchen full of everything you might need (dishes, glasses, dishwasher machine, coffee machine, water heater, etc.) and a large terrace to brace the mornings. Plenty of space for us (2 adults plus 2 children). The Haus is really nicely furbished with a lot of beautifully chosen decorations. The owners were really nice and attentive, meeting us each morning at the breakfast time and making sure that we have everything that we might need. Really nice people and would love to have the same experience everywhere we are going.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Really friendly staff, lovely tiny village location, really good breakfast
Cons: A bit of a drive from sölden where we were skiing - but absolutely fine if you have a car!
Hotel Garni Schonblick - Obergurgl - Building

9,5 Excellent (216 reviews)

Overview Reviews
Situated in Soelden, this hotel is within 9 mi (15 km) of Ortler Ski Arena, Ötztaler Ache, and Gaislachkogel Gondola. Freizeit Arena and Hochsoelden Ski Area are also within 12 mi (20 km).
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and welcoming staff. Well decorated and up to date hotel. We had a great stay.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Almost ski in and out - just a short walk (<50m) from the property to the slopes. Great breakfast in the morning - including cereals, yoghurts, fresh fruit, cheese, cured meats, and toast; the coffee in the morning was also great. The Double Room we stayed in had plenty of space for two people including snowboard bags - lots of storage space to unpack all the clothes. The TV was offered multiple channels in each language. The WiFi was fast - enough to watch Youtube and Netflix in decent quality/resolution. Bathroom was clean and not cramped. View from the room was great! Could see the mountains straight from our room.
Cons: Thin floors / walls - could hear kids running around upstairs very well, and could hear neighbours at night if people were dragging suitcases around. Only one small unlined bin in the bathroom.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing views from our room, very clean, state of the art sauna area with 2 saunas, steam room, infrared room, water beds and relaxation area, well stocked kitchen, functional cooking area. some UK TV for our kids! children loved that the housekeepers arranged their teddies differently each day for fun! hotel short walk from the slopes, easy ski in and out, good ski locker facilities by hotel entrance.
Cons: local information in the hotel reception area and hotel room was lacking. ie local attractions for children, (swimming pool Solden), bus times, other tourist attractions, local restaurant guide (as no dinner served at hotel) Also signage about breakfast times and prices had we wanted to partake. On check in we weren't shown to room. Rules for sauna in English would also be helpful. Also info about whole village power outage in English and communicated in the morning would've aided meal planning for that night.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and quiet
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was very good value and did everything we needed - we would definitely stay again. The sauna/spa area is truly 5 star and free use.
Cons: No bad points at all.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The spa was beautiful and perfect after a day's skiing.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The location of the hotel was excellent: 1 minute from de slopes. We recommend the hotel! We did already many hotels in Obergurgl, but this one was the most tastefull decorated of all. Its a hotel runed by the owners. They are very envolved and very kind. The spa was really amasing: big, beautiful an spacy! The breakfast was really good and het homemade muesli is extraordinarily. The coffee was very special: made on each table!
Cons: If we have something to say that is less good, it should be the bathroom. Mayby it could be more recent, but it was very practical and clean.

2,9 Mediocre
Pros: Discound for the ski and snowboard in the shop just next to the hotel. Plus the bus stop was just 10m away form the hotel door. Good saunas in the hotel.
Cons: The owner of the hotel, Claudia, was very bad to my fiancée,my family and me from the first day. As soon as we entered she said that she did not know about the dogs. When on 11th of october18 she answered me back via email that the cost is 10€ per night per dog. And our booking was from the 2-12 of jan19. The same night after we traveled for 6h in the snow storm and arrived at like 10-11pm, she started asking deposit which we were cool with and gave her cash for 3 rooms, but my fience wanted to pay with credit card but his card did not work for some reasons(as we got to know it was the daily limit) but anyway, we gave her 200€ cash for the room amd told her that we want to go the bank in the morning and fix it and come back to her with the money, when she started being angry and saying that if the card is not working on her machine thn the atm wont give us money neither. We gave her cash(thx, for “understanding” claudia)u are greedy person. Next day or the day after skiing my fiancée and i went to the spa and we did not know that it closes at 8pm but the cleaner came and told us to leave so we started getting dress when claudia ran into the spa and started Screaming and telling us to leave now. (Thx, for “understanding” claudia.) we left at like 8.10pm maybe. The other day my family had dinner in the hotel, and i did not go but i came down at 8pm when the restaurant was closing to see where my family is when claudia ran after me to ask me what do i want. since we went to eat in another place and were back at like around 11pm, Claudia did not see us so it followed with the question from her “when were u back last night?it was very late?” in the morning when i was leaving the hotel to ski. (Im sorry but its not ur business, if we had the converstaion before or smth but no coming to me from another side just to aks me this is very rude:( so if u want to live in the school camp , visit this hotel.+Rooms are cleaned bad. There is no “do not disturb” sign. No slippers.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Great hosts and staff, they make you feel extremely welcome and try to anticipate your needs, the food was very good and the sauna area was quite new and pleasant
10,0 Excellent
Pros: I love this hotel
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast, size of the room, quality and cleanliness of wellness area
Cons: Bathroom
8,8 Excellent
Pros: We liked the very friendly service, smiles, and ability to make us feel like nothing was too much trouble. The proprietors did all our laundry - including drying and folding our clothes - and offered a lovely array of gluten free options at breakfast and dinner. Food was excellent and plentiful. The hotel had fantastic boot and ski room, and they allowed us to park for a week at no extra charge. We really can't rate the hotel highly enough.
Cons: There was no tea and coffee-making facilities in the room. We would have liked to make ourselves a hot drink in the room. We generally love the Austrian bedding, as it's usually warm and high-quality; the Similaun duvets were exceptionally cosy. But the pillows were only half-filled with feathers. They weren't old but they were impossible to 'plump' and we both found it difficult to sleep because of them. These issues did not affect the enjoyment of our stay. But we wanted to share to ensure our review is balanced.

Pros: Keloids and her doubter are wonderful owner

Pros: It is my first time to stay in a family run hotel. People are warm, nice, helpful and polite. We were coming here by public transport, it was not difficult to come and the host gave us information for transportation and hiking about Vent. We were just finished our trip from Swiss and Liechtenstein. So didn’t expect too much on Vent first. But everything was out of my expectation after arrival. There many beautiful mountains nearby, most of them are over 3000m. Breakfast and dinner were included in the accommodation fee, it was reasonable price and the food was up to Michelin standard. We have tried one Michelin restaurant in Liechtenstein, I can say the dinner in the Vent Hotel Post is outstanding. You can imagine how it is value for money, unbelievable. The breakfast also very good, many fresh food. I have a wonderful impression in Austria because of the Vent Hotel Post. There are spa swimming pool, sauna and steam room, I enjoy swimming here with a beautiful mountain view. It was so relaxing for us. All the facilities are nest and tidy. They even provide a fruit and tea in sauna and steam room. The room is spacious and comfortable with a balcony. I slept well in staying 3 nights, I can enjoy the beautiful mountain view. The atmosphere is so nice and warm, a bit different from the hotel, I like all the people there, thanks for you guys warm welcoming. Thanks for the host. I have an unforgettable memories here. I hope that I can visit again in the future, I just explore 2 hiking trails this time

Pros: Each and every staff member that I encountered was extremely helpful, polite and observant. The pool and spa area were in perfect condition. The food quality was simply outstanding and the wait staff superb. The Junior Suite was enormous and beautifully decorated in high-quality Alpine style. Sölden was only 20 minutes away by car. I was so impressed that we are now planning our annual Winter ski vacation in Ötztal and to book here. It was the perfect, quiet get-away. Don't miss out!

Pros: The staff, the environment, the food, the accommodation: all perfect! Even the local (small) ski area is very nice to ski for all levels of expertise.
Cons: There is 1 road to Vent, which is blocked now and then by snow or rocks: gives the opportunity to enjoy longer Vent :)

Pros: Food, people, warmth
Cons: A small gym will make it complete
6,3 Good
Pros: The ski in/out facilities were good and the reception staff were friendly.
Cons: We found the food in the restaurant variable. At times it was inedible. The occasional dish was ok. The dinner was advertised as being “six courses”, but it was actually three courses with a pretty disappointing buffet. They also, outrageously, charge €4.80 for tap water. We asked about this and were told this was because the tap water is a service. Definitely an expensive one! After this, the staff involved almost entirely ignored us and we had to ask for each one of our courses to be brought to us. If booking, i’d suggest eating out for your evening meal!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were all amazing. The hotel is beautiful. Location to ski in and ski out is perfect. Food excellent. Spa area excellent.

9,0 Excellent
Pros: The waiting staff were excellent, particularly our waiter Laszlo he was very friendly and extremely polite. He made excellent recommendations for the wine each evening and always had a smile on his face.
Cons: The noise from the Josl Keller below it would go into the very early hours most nights and you couldn’t have the windows open. The rooms were very warm at night, so it would be preferable to have the window open, even so you could still hear the noise from outside.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Clean and tidy ,great spa when not skiing ,good food with great service ,would go again
Cons: Only had one problem ,when booking lift pass the lady on the desk booked for six days as we asked but the day she had booked was the day we got there and never hit the slopes till 3-00 which was supposed to be complementary so on last day our passes were void and we had to spend another £55 each . she apoligised but to no avail .
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The food is really good. From breakfast to dinner - great value for money. The location is great. You just put on your boots in the skiroom and walk to the nearest skilift. Most of the staff are extremely friendly and all make sure that they pay special attention to details and needs. From the kitchen staff to the gentlemen that park the cars. They really go the extra mile!
Cons: This will really be nitpicking, but some guests were very loud in the bar area, making it difficult to relax for other guests. I wanted a quiet drink but it felt like I was at some wild party. It did not carry on till late, so it is not so much of an issue.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The facilities, service and location were outstanding. I would definitely go back.
Cons: There was nothing I didn't like at this hotel. It was exceptional.

Pros: Nice and tidy rooms, good personal, big shower room.
Cons: Breakfasts are always the same. yogurt, ham, cheese, butter, bread, coffee, cookies, boiled eggs.

Pros: The apartment was spotless, nicely decorated and big enough for a family of four. Comfy beds. The staff was flexible and very friendly, always ready to help or answer any questions. We can highly recommend.

Pros: Really friendly staff, lovely tiny village location, really good breakfast
Cons: A bit of a drive from sölden where we were skiing - but absolutely fine if you have a car!

Pros: The staff went over and above to look after us. We celebrated our Ruby wedding anniversary and they gave us a room which far exceeded our expectations and put confetti n the table and gave us a drink on the house. The hotel was very clean and both the breakfast and dinner were delicious and the set 4 course meal was excellent. The hotel is set in a beautiful location with plenty of mountain walking close by.

Pros: The food was excellent, the staff were very friendly and the Junior suite was really lovely with plenty of storage space, and we particularly liked being able to watch British TV channels as we were snowed in for two days!
Cons: Can’t think of anything

Pros: Very good location 20 meters from the bus stop, view on southern Alp summits, delicious and reasonably priced restaurant... Would definitely come again. Superb bargain with Genius programme.
Cons: No real flaws to report.

Pros: We loved this place. You can ski right to the door from Vent. A great launching point for hut trips in the Otztal Alps. The dinner and breakfast were included and were so good.
Cons: Needed recycling in the rooms.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The suite was awesome, newly refurbished with separate kids alcove bedroom. The facilities are excellent, in probably the best location in Vent next door to the ski lift, apres ski bar and supermarket.
Cons: The breakfast is great, while the half board dinner although decent only meets the expectation for the extra menu of a pizzeria.

Pros: Great hosts and staff, they make you feel extremely welcome and try to anticipate your needs, the food was very good and the sauna area was quite new and pleasant
