The level of personal service was excellent. Coffee preferences were remembered each day, we were asked what kind of pillows we preferred.
Everything was geeat.
I loved the staff - they all went above and beyond my expectations. Everybody were very friendly and helpful. The manager that checked us in gave a quick introduction about the island and how to get places from where we were staying. The breakfast lady was very smiley and happy, she was very welcoming every morning. The cleaner lady had our room and bathroom cleaned daily (this is not a hotel so that was a nice surprise). The bistro staff were very knowledgeable and helpful too, gave us great food recommendations. The location was very convenient, and although we had to commute to venice every day it was definitely worth it as Lido island is much more relaxing.
Our double bed had to single mattresses that created a dip in the middle. The breakfast wasn't as hot as I would have liked.
Everything was lovely!
Small friendly hotel, personal service All staff very helpful Good breakfast Comfortable bed Good air conditioning Quiet
Beware - The beaches within immediate walking distance from the hotel are all private. There is a good one 5-10mins walk at beach restaurant Lio where you can hire for the day it's €30 all day and €20 half a day. But even this beach gets booked up. We arrived in the afternoon on day 1 to find half the loungers empty but the attendant told us "fully booked". (People book then don't show up..but they don't resell empty beds which seems crazy....) We asked him to reserve places for the rest of the week and it was fine. We had a place on the beach every day No deposit is required to book your beach sunbeds...which also seems crazy as it means you can book sunbeds and then not show up.......? Anyway..if you want to sunbathe near the hotel you need to be organised and book your sunbeds in high season. Or catch a bus to the free beaches 15 mins away. My advice to the hotel would be to maybe assist guests in reserving a space on the private beaches. No bikes for hire at the hotel. This would have been useful as cycling is very popular and useful in Lido.
I liked the location, being away from the main drag; I felt like were were in a more "local" area. The surrounding area was quiet and nice, but not "dead." The hotel was beautiful and easy to find. The staff were helpful and efficient. The room was spacious enough, as was the bathroom. Everything was clean and the A/C was fabulous!! Breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfasts I've ever had and a bit different each day. The coffee was some of the best, too!
There was nothing I didn't like.
