The location was perfect and the room itself was unexpectedly big and very romantic (we stayed in the annexe)
We loved everything
The hotel was very central for easy access to shops, restaurants and the sights.
The location is excellent, the rooms are clean and have a good space.
The rooms were very large and comfortable and the bathroom was a good size. We had a room with a view of the alleyways and it was still quiet at night. Their breakfast buffet was excellent with a nice selection of fruit, pastries and meats. Thoroughly enjoy this hotel. They also had a restaurant near by they were associated with which was very good as well. Location was half way between the San Marcos piazza and Rialto Bridge. Would recommend this hotel.
Don't have any negatives about the hotel.
Location and friendly staff
Nothing I was very happy with the hotel>
Fantastic location and friendly, professional, courteous staff. The breakfast provided & the cleanliness of the rooms were excellent. I was moved from the annexe (Loca Azzurra b&b) to the main hotel when a single room became available there.
We stayed at this Hotel in July. The rooms were nice, done up in Venetian style. As we only satyed for 1 night and checked out early, we couldnot have breakfast.
There was no lift and carrying the baggage to the 1st floor was quite a problem.
Hotel San Luca was excellent value for money. We stayed in the annexe section, in a Venetian style room, with exposed ceiling beams - it was absolutely lovely! The room was cleaned daily and the toiletries re- equipped. They even provided moisturiser as part of the toiletries, which was a really nice touch. The man who was predominantly at reception is fluent in English, which was a big help for us. The hotel is located within in a 2 minute walk from the Grand Canal and the Rialto bridge and no more than a 10 minute walk to Piazza San Marco - so central! The free wifi connection is a great plus! Considering this hotel opened in January 2009, it's standards are on par or even better than other 3 star hotels that we've stayed in in Italy. We would definitely recommend hotel San Luca to our family and friends.
the rooms are very nice ( i stayed in the separate building, forgot its name). the rooms are not rich but very classy with many things packed into it ( bath ammentities, tv, sattelite settop box, power adaptor, phone, safe, hair dryer, etc). Very clean. Friendly staff. Good atmosphere. Not far from S,Marco
There is no lift !!!!!! You have to drag your bags upstairs. Also, the hotel does not have its own pier. It is 10 minutes walk from the nearest watertaxi/waterbus station ( which is Rialto btw). If you know your way it is not a big deal ( no bridges to cross from Rialto ) but if you need to search on your feet, with your bags - you might slightly regret choosing this one. But when you are in - S,Marco square is 10 minutes walk. Also please notice that if you leave Venice at night and you cant afford 100Euro for the water taxi - you will have to drag your bags to S.Marco ( 2 bridges with stairs to cross ) to take the night water bus to the airport. Like 15 minutes brisk walk with your bags.
