5 star hotel, unfortunately spa didn't work b/o COVID, good breakfast, good view, food in the bar is just OK, very convinient water taxi to the airport $140, they have complimentary water service to Murano and Burano, but unfortunately we didn't know about that and when we were offered, we already made the trip on our own. Cons (-) Floor plans complex and not safe. Basic facilities far from everything. Ground floor and lobby bathrooms are so hidden one needs a guide to find them. Many staircases have no hand rails. Cost of bottled water obscene! Drinking water is a basic necessity and should be available not priced as an expensive luxury.

Pros (+) Very easy walking distance to everything. Breakfast was included in our stay. Champagne was served on Sunday. Great variety of foods to select from and coffee was amazing. The view of the Grand Canal cannot be any better.
Cons (-) Hotel room key and safe were old world.

Pros (+) I stayed at the Casanova Suites which adjacent to the Bauers and for a family of four was great!! The location is just the greatest. The rooms were huge and they offered everything including 2 bathrooms!!! If you are traveling with young adults and spending time in Venice, this place is it. It was not cheap and it shouldnt be but well worth it!! Your on the main canal and yds from St Marks square....
Cons (-) Needed more TV sets in the bedrooms.
