Location, cleanliness, polite staff...
Beautiful antique charm and great location
Unless breakfast is included not worth it. Go to a Cafe in San Marco square.
We have been to this hotel at least a dozen times now over the years and it has always been our first choice and always lives up to our expectation. It has a lovely Venetian feel about it with Murano glass chandeliers, beautiful silk walls and curtains, fresh crisp linens and traditional styling. The bathroom was roomy and it was a great shower. It is a really central location. It’s 5 minutes walk from St Mark’s Square and is surrounded by good shopping from tourist to high end. Likewise with eating - you can eat very cheaply with take away or enjoy the atmosphere of dining by a canal or square . There are also some excellent restaurants around too including the hotel’s own. We enjoy walking and exploring the maze of streets often getting lost and finding new treats in the process. Within 10 minutes you can be away from the crowds too if you wish and see more of the city itself . The vaparettos will take you up and down The Grand Canal and out to Murano, Burano, Torcello, the Lido and others and the stop is only 5 mins walk away. We usually take a multi day ticket and hop on and off as suits. In all the years visiting we still manage to find loads of new places. We love to end the day in St Mark’s square listening to the musicians and a nightcap. Then it’s back to the hotel where the piano bar is welcoming before retiring to a lovely comfortable bed. Breakfast is buffet style and there is a very varied selection on offer and the staff are very friendly as are the staff at reception. I love this hotel!
Everything was lovely but a bit expensive
Their restaurant needs to have more Halal food and more options.
