Pros: Lovely location for walks
6,3 Good
Pros: The building and location are wonderfull. Also people in in the area are most friendly. The Spa of the hotel is small but has everything you need!
Cons: Poor service from reception. Dinner in the restaurant was not possible as it was fully booked and closed the next day. Room 116 is outdated, AC works but has a minimum capacity and is too loud! It is impossible to sleep with the AC on. Breakfast is OK for the price you are paying.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic property and staff. Exceeded every expectation- food, spa, location. Close to the train station and nature. Great location as well if you enjoy cycling. We stayed in an apartment which was very nice with a patio overlooking the orchard. It was a perfect place to spend a long weekend.

Pros: Beautiful ambiance, good beds, lots of nature.
Cons: Rooms not as modern as i’d expect but overall very very nice.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Staff were very cooperative and solved a problem with the restaurant booking in a professional way. Restaurant staff were very knowledgable and friendly. House staff were excellent. Pool was great.
Cons: Spa Changing facilities are a little cramped
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Very nice hotel, rooms, facilities, restaurants (including breakfast) and beautiful park.
Cons: Staff on the reception on the arrival was terrible. They even didn’t offer to help with luggage, to show the way to the room (which is not so easy to find in this hotel, especially with luggage in hands). No help with car parking inside the hotel. Also I asked in one month in advance about late checkout, because I have 3 small kids. I need to check out between 1-2 pm (kids should wait for us there). Despite that check-in time at 3 pm - manager of the hotel refused me even taking into account that I was the regular guest of this hotel and stay in suite.

Pros: The hospitality of the hostess and her farther was exceptional very welcoming . The breakfast was lovely and well presented at a time of our choosing. The area feels very safe even late at night as does the whole of the beautiful city of Valkenburg. The hotel gave us discount vouchers for many attractions and restaurant's on arrival. For the price paid we were very satisfied with this Hotel and we will stay here again.
Cons: Nothing to really dislike given the good value of the hotel. The weather was very hot during our stay and the room was very warm but the hotel provided a fan which helped. This is not a criticism of the hotel

Pros: Friendly and very helpful staff. Facility was clean and comfortable.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We come to Valkenburg every year for the Midsummer Prog Festival and it’s our second stay at the Hotel Lela. This time we had my in-laws with us. It really is a home from home. The location is perfect, a stone’s throw from the Openluchttheatre where the festival is held but away from the busy main streets. Denise is the most friendly and welcoming host, nothing is too much trouble! My father in law had bought a belt which was too loose and Denise’s father made a new hole for it. We had forgotten suncream and Denise brought us some to put on before we went out. Just a couple of examples of how she goes above and beyond to ensure the comfort of guests! Breakfast in the morning on the pretty terrace in front of the hotel was a particular highlight. Most of all, my in-laws loved it! We will be back next year.
Cons: Nothing not to love!
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Localization near the city center. Friendly and helpful staff. Tipical family hotel.
Cons: The beds should have better (or more) pillows

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect starting point for the Amstel gold race circuit and the spa afterwards was a real treat!
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The spa. The no phone policy.
Cons: Room was really disappointing. I've seen motels or travel lodges in better states. We didn't even get hand soap and when we tried to move the 4 in 1 shower gel to the sink to use as handsoap we realised it was chained to the bath tub. Luckily the spa was amazing and we didn't go in our room much but honestly the rooms and really dragging the quality of the spa. And wheres the hand soap??
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was great
6,3 Good
Pros: The spa is fantastic if it's not too busy
Cons: You have to pay for bath robes and for slippers. When it's full, the spa is not so nice because you barely find a sauna that is empty. And they don't have a gym
7,5 Good
Pros: Good breakfast
7,9 Good
Pros: access to spa was really great. we had a nice and comfortable stay. I recommend it for a short vacation.
Cons: WiFi did not work well. room did not have any cup or mug for tea.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Wide pools and large choice of saunas and steam baths. The extreme kindness of the staff makes this place much special and enjoyable.
Cons: Missing products in the bathroom’s hotel.
7,5 Good
Pros: The location was beautiful and easy access to Valkenburg city centre and train station. It was peaceful and relaxing with a lot of different bathing areas including saunas, spas and relaxing zones.
Cons: I didn't like having to pay for a robe and towels as a hotel guest; and not being able to eat in some of the restaurants with clothes on ie only bath robes allowed.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The facility the saunas and steam bathrooms
Cons: The wash basin drain was very slow needs to be fixed room 35
7,9 Good
Pros: The overall experience has been an immersion into an oasis of peace. The variety of piscines and saunas is really great. Different temperatures are available, both in the naked part and in the dressed one. It was always possible to find a not crowded spot in any piscine/sauna/hot bath. The massage (hot stone) was extremely pleasant.
Cons: Majority of personnel answer in dutch even when they are talked to in english. It was also very hard to reserve a massage as the choice of language on the phone reservation system is either dutch or french. Rooms are nice but would benefit from some renovation.

5,8 Okay
Pros: It is an old hotel. They are listed as four stars but I don’t believe that’s is real. The room is small, the elevator is old, the bathroom was with a weird smell. You need to pay extra taxes to park your car. The location is great and the staff is friendly.
Cons: The hotel is old and they have extra fees. It is a little expensive if you compare with real four stars.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location. Convenient. Friendly staff who accommodated our requests
Cons: Hotel is good but perhaps a bit old fashioned.
7,9 Good
Pros: Good Location, friendly staff, good breakfast
Cons: There was no sound proofing at all so you could hear everything that was spoken on the room next door or on the corridor. Bring good earplugs!!
7,5 Good
Pros: Breakfast was excellent!
Cons: Rather noisy
6,3 Good
Pros: The location is very central. The restaurant and the breakfast had a big variety. I was plesently surprised.
Cons: I don't know how this hotel is rated as a 4* i've seen better conditions at a 2* . Very old rooms from the furniture look at least 20 years old.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Location was quite central and in nice setting. Staff were very friendly. Breakfast was good.
Cons: Single rooms were quite small and were facing the main road which could get noisy.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: very comfortable bed, good variable breakfast with fresh juice and increadible coffe (and tea - you can have even rooibos). Shower gel, soap is there. Nice mansarda on the roof (though with quite ordinary view). 50 meters from the old center indeed! Good personnel. Big plasma TV in the room (but didn`t have an opportunity to turned it on) for the room like this there could be TV at least 2 times smaller ))
Cons: Bit noisy if you`ll have your windows open.. also there`s old, not common elevator (lift) where you have to open the metalic door by yourself. No aircondition. Toilet placement in the bathroom could be more comfortable, if you`re tall you`ll have problems whith your knees beeing abut the wall.

Pros: Really nice and very spacious apartment in the center of valkenburg
7,9 Good
Pros: Great location in the centre of town within easy walking distance to the train station and sights. Awesome restaurant on the ground floor.
Cons: As a matter of personal taste the beds were too soft and uncomfortable and the room facing the pedestrian street very noisy.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Great place, nice people, well equipped kitchen. A very spacious apartment.
7,5 Good
Pros: Excellent location in the city center and a simple but good breakfast.
Cons: The bathroom was not so clean and the quality of furniture, linen and towels could be improved.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Loved the location. Middle of walking zone in the center. Also, the staff was amazing, helped with resolving all the situations and they were very nice and prompt. Loved the Chicken and Avocado salad, very good food at the restaurant.
Cons: The only thing I didn't like was that the hall to the rooms was somehow very loud, so while people were walking pass the room or checking in and out you heard them as they were right in your own room. Other then that, everything was excellent.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Excellent sound proofing windows ( unexpected). Large bed sizes. Prime location, right in the middle of the center with all the tourist attractions within 10 min walking distance.
Cons: Low ceiling, especially bathroom. People above 180cm may suffer a bit in the shower. Room size was bit tight, but bearable. Main door is very squeeky and hard to open at first.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Location, atmosphere and croissants!
Cons: Stairs really steep.
5,8 Okay
Pros: Location is suburb
Cons: We had a family room on top The room is with air-conditioning but the airco could not get the room cool so we had to try to sleep in 35 degree oven. At midnight had to ask for a fan to get some air moving
7,9 Good
Pros: Staff, breakfast, location and room interior are very nice.
Cons: Shower and bed not suitable for tall people. Shower temperature is not stable. Being in the town centre means that there is a lot of noice from the street that comes into the room.

Cons: Nothing
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Nicely decorated room! Very spacious and clean. There is a window so my partner could smoke happily. They changed our towels every day. Its located very centrally, in the same street with all restaurants and bars.
Cons: - It is a room for a couple, but the bed is NOT a double bed. Its 2 single beds put together. What is the logic behind it?! Very uncomfortable. - Room doors do not lock by default and if you forget to lock, people can just walk inside.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: I loved the location, near public transport, the town is beautiful. The property also amazing, clean and staff very friendly. Farieda was a God send and she really went the extra mile in making sure my stay was comfortable.
Cons: Only the stairs is a bit narrow
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location, couldn't get a better one. Great value for money.
Cons: No coffee making facilities in room. Everything else was great, excellent location. Liked how the staff left you to get on and enjoy your holiday. Great restaurant downstairs but service slow. Would return.
7,9 Good
Pros: Good sized room and ensuite. Food was amazing in the resturant. Central location was really good also, everything in walking distance. Valkenburg is a lovely town. A real buzz around the hotel. Would definitely recommend as a destination. Plenty of good resturants in the same area.
Cons: Our room was accessed through a service passage and was above the kitchen. Was also up a set of steep stairs (to be expected in Holland). View from window was of the yard and kitchen extractor ducting. Extractor was running all day and into the night while the kitchen was open. Single beds pushed together. Mattress was too soft for me and I ended up sleeping on the couch, my wife however didn't mind the mattresses. No air conditioning...very warm at night. Fire safety not to UK standards. No tea, coffee, kettle or ironing facilities. Fridge would of been nice. Breakfast was €9 extra per person, not included. Not what I would define as a hotel, more of a bar/resturant with lodgings.

Pros: Perfect location for the square and eating places, lovely view over the river outside too. Reception staff really friendly.
Cons: Rooms were very small, bathrooms tiny (even for someone who is family small) no air con and kept having to ask for the eggs and fruit to be restocked at breakfast. Plus there was only a very slow 2 slice toaster for the whole breakfast sitting
6,3 Good
Pros: Staff very friendly. Design of appartment simple, modern and light. Overall clean place. Right in the centre.
Cons: We stayed at an apartment at the 2nd floor. It was a hot time of the year so the night was uncomfortable, no aircon. Building is a bit worn down. Bit of mold between tiles in bathroom.
7,9 Good
Pros: Hotel is excellently located near the centre of town.
7,9 Good
Pros: Very central
7,9 Good
Pros: Great hotel for a passing through place to crash.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This is our 2nd stay here and once again we're very happy with our stay. The hotel is clean and comfortable. The breakfast is very nice with a wide continental selection.
Cons: When the breakfast room is busy, unfortunately there is a queue to get coffee from the machine. The queue is around the food so makes it difficult to get to the food.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is a beautiful building in a lovely location, including being near many excellent restaurants and historical sites. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and the breakfast was fresh and with a great choice. The room was small but adequate and the bathroom excellent.
Cons: It was not at all easy to find and we had to park well away from the hotel either in a public car park or in a rather expensive private car park
8,0 Excellent
Pros: We liked the friendly staff and the location of the hotel, being in town centre only a few metres away from lunch rooms and restaurants. Breakfast was good, the beds were very good and so was the TV, good size and perfect picture. The kitchen was small but just good enough for basic cooking etc. The view from our apartment no. 11 was very special. The hotel parking was safe and only a 5 minutes walk away from the hotel.
Cons: As our apartment no. 11 had no air conditioning we recommend the kitchen door to the external stairs to be fitted with a hook to the door post for ventilation. The apartment has 2 windows but only one could be opened for ventilation, the other one got stuck. There is no basket or tray for bottles and soap in the shower. The floor of the shower is super slippery. The basin could do with a shelf for the ladies to put there makeup things on.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast. Amazing staff. Great location.
Cons: Bathroom was smaller than anticipated. Fine for a one night stay but not so good for a longer stay.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable rooms, good breakfast and great central location

Pros: breakfast and swimming pool were not crowded in September and nice. we also like the bar area, it is cosy
Cons: the reception needs renovation, not very welcoming The sauna’s in the pool were too cold, 55 c.
6,7 Good
Pros: Rooms modernised clean and comfortable. Bathroom and shower above average. Swimming pool excellent. Parking good. Good for 1/2 night stay.
Cons: The outside dining terrace tables near balcony edge were filthy. Table not ready for service despite booking 1100 for dinner 1930. Had to ask for table cloth. Very limited menu dessert two items dame blanche and strawberries with yogurt. This for a 4* hotel. Hotel needs a good manager. No manager on a Sunday for a 100 plus room hotel!!!! Restaurant in need of a maitre d or owner who cares!!! Eat out!!! For those cycling reception has no advice and is not geared to connecting you to the start. No useful byclce route connection plans! You are on your own!
8,8 Excellent
Pros: We had a large room with a view of gardens. Bed & pillows were comfortable. Good to have air conditioning as it was warm & only a short walk to the restaurants.
7,5 Good
Pros: Pool was nice, breakfast great.
Cons: Parking was expensive for a property that is located out of town. Our room was very small and quite noisy.

8,3 Excellent
Pros: Good Breakfast scrambled eggs fried eggs and pancakes fresh made on order in the restaurant. Good choice off food for anyone.
6,7 Good
Pros: Sauna and Steam room was great for relaxing.
Cons: Well, if Dutch people don't like to hear English don't work in Hospitality (just my opinion) and I'm from N.Ireland. Staff at breakfast tried to be nice but receptionist just ignored us, good morning is easy to say!! Too many dogs at breakfast with owners. Room was dark and could do with improved lighting.
