Nothing that the hotel was responsible for. The beach and the area around the hotel are beautiful, but just save your money and stay at The Hip Hotel next door
The hotel is in extremely poor shape - throughout our stay, we had to endure: 1. multiple, regular power outages (not the "eco-friendly" power outage from 4-6am they advertise, but no power during random, regular hours) 2. no hot water during the first couple of nights 3. no wifi anywhere except the restaurant, even though the hotel advertises wifi availability throughout the property 4. a leaking AC in the room 5. a broken beach shower that was never fixed 6. a beach bathroom by the restaurant whose fixtures were so rusted that they'd become sharp and hazardous 7. general lack of maintenance, with rusty fixtures, chipping paint everywhere 8. stained sheets and towels 9. no beach towels available "because they didn't get the laundry that day" 10. no breakfast service available "because the chef is not here yet" What made the whole situation worse was the level of contempt and disrespect we had to endure from the hotel manager, who: 1. refused to give us his name, telling us to "call him 'Director'". Only after repeated requests he said his name was Alessandro. We got his full name, Alessandro Esposito, after subsequent repeated requests for a full name, not just a first name 2. yelled at us, and called us unreasonable for wanting a refund for the remainder of our stay so we could switch hotels 3. told us that it wasn't his fault that water/power/wifi weren't working, so we had to just deal with it, and that as long as things were getting fixed, we had no reason to complain. Note that on any given day during our stay we had at least 3 open problems from what's listed above. According to this gentleman, this is completely acceptable. Lets be very clear, when someone goes on vacation, the understanding and expectation is that things work from the get-go. As a guest, it is not your job to QA the hotel you're staying in, nor is it your job to deal with things not working and certainly not your job to tolerate rude, unprofessional management
