The pool is outstanding. The hotel is close to the beach and close to restaurants and stores, still very quiet. The service is simple and good.
No breakfast buffet
Staff was very nice. Hotel is walking distance to downtown
Our room was dirty. The carpet had not been vacuumed and we found hair in the shower. Rooms could use some updating
Comfortable, clean, and great location!
The location was absolutely perfect, free parking on premises. The hotel was within walking distance from boutique shopping, the beach, theatre, farmers market, restaurants and coffee shops. Our corner room also had 2 large, beautiful windows. We loved the live music and the view at Beacon Lounge on the top floor.
We stayed in the historic tower, however our room was anything but historic ... it looked no different than any other contemporary hotel we’ve stayed in. Unfortunately, the beds and pillows lacked comfort. The bathroom was not designed to accommodate a traveling family with kids/teenagers, it was very small with limited counter space. In addition, it had no fan to circulate air, and the bath tub/shower needed updating. Also, our room had a wardrobe instead of a closet, which can be a great space saver, but the wardrobe wasn’t tall enough to hang our dresses and blazers/suits. The hotel is being remodeled, so perhaps some of these issues will be addressed for future guests.
The towels were very fluffy and nice and the location was excellent.
This hotel has ugly decor, small rooms, low shower heads, and uncomfortable beds. It’s way overpriced for what it is. The restaurant on site is very low caliber considering the excellent dining all around the hotel.
