Not a single thing
Great location and a good value for the basement suite. A large space that is great for extended stays, including your own bathroom. Good selection at breakfast with a very casual atmosphere that allows you to eat on your own schedule. You make your own breakfast, and that also allows you to choose what you want. Host was friendly and accommodating by phone and in person.
Because the facility is a renovated, older home, you are unable to adjust the heat in the suite. This could lead to some overheating for those who enjoy cooler temperatures. However, there are windows you can open.
The self serve breakfast was great, lots of cereal/breads/jams/spreads/milk/juice options. You could also make eggs and use coffee/tea facilities throughout your stay. We were glad to have a small basin in our room as the main bathroom was shared.
Being a B&B the walls weren’t obviously sound proof and we were on the main floor next to kitchen, we could hear other guests walking around upstairs and talking outside the room which is a given. The house is pretty old and wasn’t all that clean (dusty in some areas), might need a bit more thorough cleaning from time to time. Although it had a few minor issues we enjoyed our stay.
At these prices, in this location, it's pretty hard to complain. You'll have to share bathrooms for most of the rooms, but that was never a problem for me. The breakfast was well stocked and included in the price, which is amazing.
The TV was small and the property overall could maybe use some TLC, but really, you can't complain at this price...
Clean, safe place to stay!
Believe the reviews, this place is great! Breakfast was excellent, rooms were clean. The shared bathroom was also clean! Kerem was an excellent host, wonderful guy to talk to! The building had many resources to use in the living room: maps, discount card for gas, etc. I will definitely stay here again. A supermarket was close by as well as many shops and restaurants. The Village is a great part to stay downtown. Everything is within a 30 minute walk or $8 cab ride.
The apartment overlooked a park, which was ok, but sometimes it would get a tad bit noisy.
