I love the location and the view.
Taxi stop information could be improved
It locates close to the underground, has a convenience store in the building. The room is clean and facilitated. Multiple dining choices. The airport shuttle bus was convenient.
EACH staff we encountered at the check in desk was incredibly ARROGANT. The first one told us we have to come back after 14:00 to check in (which is reasonable, we arrived early and just wanted to leave our luggage), but checking our IDs and booking confirmation for 10 minutes and being checked again when we came back later is absurd. No wonder the queue is such long anytime during the day. Another thing that confused me: My friends and I booked two rooms- a twin room and a triple room. On the fridge in the twin room, there was an obvious sign said “all the soft drinks are complimentary but refilling will be charged”. However we didn’t notice the existence of such sign in our triple room and we were confused when being charged at checkout. The staff said “OF COURSE they are not complimentary”. Anyway the experience was not good and definitely will not book again or refer to other friends.
Great location, staff were amazing
The room was a good size and bed was comfy. The view from the room was very good too and the location was good too.
In 28-30 degree heat, the pool was closed which was a shame, so nowhere to chill. Had to pay extra for the spa/pool but couldn't let you in if you have the tiniest of tattoos, which is such a shame for a very western hotel. The facilities were okay but I would not rate this as a 5 star hotel.
It had a lovely garden and multiple choices for food.
The pool was part of the spa services which came with an extra cost. Also, it had a Las Vegas hotel feel to it.
Hotel New Otani Tokyo Garden Tower is a massive hotel that has a long history. It was originally opened in 1964 to ensure there were enough places for people who were coming to the Tokyo Olympic Games to stay. It was popular for a number of years, and underwent a major renovation in 2007, and is now one of the most popular luxury hotels in Japan.
This large hotel has 836 guestrooms at the Garden Tower. There are many different types of rooms in the building, including standard rooms and suites. Some of the types of room amenities that can be found at the hotel include toiletries, free Internet access, Italian bedding, and coffee and tea facilities.
Because this is such a large hotel, guests can expect a wide range of amenities and features on-site. The hotel offers a Japanese garden, a rose garden, a business center, spa and salon, nursery, photo studio, post office, flower shop, travel agency, shopping arcade, an outdoor swimming pool, and more. The hotel also has 33 banquet rooms. There are 38 restaurants on-site. A total of18 of them are directly operated restaurants, and 20 of them are tenant restaurants.
The location of the hotel puts it right in Tokyo, so guests will find that getting to all of the various areas that they want to visit and explore should be easy. Some destinations will be reachable on foot, and others will be just a short drive away. They can see the Tokyo Imperial Palace and more.
