Old decor and gritty bathroom
Close to the subway station, rich set of amenities in the bathroom.
We ordered a room for 5 people, and it was described as having 5 futons. Instead, we found 3 futons and 1 double bed, which is obviously not great for a company of 5 males. We had to convince the staff that 4th futon would indeed fit in the room. Even though the room ended up pretty cramped, it was still better than sharing a bed.
Not very good value for money. I was offered a grotty, tired room for circa £100 p/n - it reeked of cigarettes. Even the staff agreed it wasn’t great. I then asked to be moved to a simple, clean room (single occupancy) and was asked to pay an extra £40. Managed to negotiate down to £30, but I wasn’t massively impressed.
Great location, very close to station and convenience stores. Walking distance to lots of cool places in Tokyo. Very helpful staff at reception desk. Free coffee.
No cleaning or changing bedsheets, just taking out the rubbish bins. A 1000 yen per hour if you want to leave your luggage after checkout. No space in the room even for the luggage.
