Overview

Taxco spills down a Guerrero hillside in a tumble of whitewashed walls, red-tiled roofs, and cobbled lanes too steep for anything but the little VW taxis. A Pueblo Magico and Mexico's silver capital, it is a town made to get pleasantly lost in. A few minutes from the historic center, the Best Western Taxco, Taxco, Mexico, sets you close to all of it. Wander the streets toward Plaza Borda, the city's gravitational center, where the rose-stone baroque facade of the Santa Prisca church rises over the square. Browse the silver workshops, ride the cable car for the view, then come back to a room with air conditioning, a coffee maker, and a quiet place to rest. The caves of Cacahuamilpa and the blue pools nearby make easy day trips. Regional kitchens fill the evenings with the flavors of Guerrero. Book your stay and let Taxco's silver streets pull you in.
