Pros: Very nice and great location
Cons: Overall property is very nice however our room was very very small and made it difficult at times for two people to walk next to each other if needed. I know they have larger rooms but this was the only room we could get at time of booking
10,0 Excellent
Pros: It was just what I was looking for, and the location was perfect. There was a nice bar and restaurant on site. The rooms had charm but up to date.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything else was awesome. The bed, even the quite small queen room, the surroundings, the town, the decorations.
Cons: The staff could not arrange spa treatments when asked, also mislead us of hours when meals are served. The bed block watching TV.
10,0 Excellent

8,0 Excellent
Pros: In town Stowe location is wonderful. I really enjoyed the pool area. The pool was a perfect temperature as well as the hot tub. Room was spacious
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Booked the Green Mountain Hotel for a recent ski trip for my fiancé. We went with another couple and shared a room. I'm not a skier so I stayed behind while everyone else went to the mountain. This hotel was AWESOME! The room was quiet and so so comfy. The outdoor hot tub was so cool especially since it was about 20 degrees while we were there. The gym/sauna is so clean and so nice. We had brunch on Sunday and drinks at the restaurant. The whole place is sparkling clean and everyone is so so nice!! Location is perfect close to downtown restaurants and shopping.
Cons: A little far from the mountain. Was no big deal for us and they have an awesome free shuttle that will take you straight to the mountain but if you don't feel like dealing with the shuttle or if you don't have a car that's good in the snow to get you the 15-20 drive to the mountain you might want to stay at one of the resorts at the mountain.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel's feel and style were great, the fire pit, the outdoor swimming pool and hot tub, and the in hotel dining and bar were all wonderful.
Cons: The hotel is in a beautiful old building and the rooms are very nice, but the bathrooms are not as well appointed as one might find in a newer building.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great restaurant, fun being in town. Large rooms, friendly staff.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Stay was great. Hotel was beautiful and room was great. Enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi. Staff was very friendly. Hotel restaurant was great with service and food. Will stay again and recommend.
Cons: Nothing really. Only one possible recommendation would to put little wood signs on the wall way pointing to different hotel areas. Can be confusing first time but not an issue after a few minutes.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything; location, decor, and friendly staff.
Cons: Gym is too small. The free weights are very limited. And imposs8ble to get a serious workout.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The colonial decor, pool/spa, location right in the heart of the village, the outstanding breakfast, the outstanding bar/restaurant, and the incredibly friendly and helpful front desk—all combined to make this a week-end we’ll never forget. This place is special.

6,3 Good
Pros: The mountains
Cons: The restaurant too expensive and I didn’t know about a resort tax that was $108 and 2 nights cost $390 I think that’s excessive
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The room was large and comfortable. There was lots of activities on site.
Cons: It was not close to town and difficult to take taxis anywhere, but they did offer a shuttle around their site.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The location and the chalet style of the building were lovely. The spa area was excellent as were the outdoor facilities. The history talks about the family were also excellent. The Kaffehaus and the brewery separate to the main lodge were excellent
Cons: This is a very expensive resort to stay in and the quality of the restaurants and bar areas are not up to the price. All restaurants and bars closed at 21.00. Resort I feel caters more for tour groups than discerning independent travellers
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The site has tons of potential.
Cons: I don't like to be critical but the hotel is dated. The traditional Austrian staff uniforms are way too old fashioned. This is a ski resort not a museum. Look at what's happening in Austria today for inspiration
7,0 Good
Pros: The tv didn’t work our first night but it was fixed, thank you There was a mini fridge in our room that made a lot of noise - we understand lugged it.
8,0 Excellent

Pros: The hotel was beautiful and very comfortable, and every member of staff we spoke to or even saw in the halls was incredibly friendly.

Pros: The staff here have always stood out in all aspects compared to all my amazing travel experiences
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful, exceptionally clean and wonderful amenities
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Rooms need renovations. Furniture wear and tear.
Cons: Furniture and areas need attention.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The best thing about this hotel was the location with the beautiful view. From our room we could look out the window and see the view of the mountains with the trees in all their beautiful autumn splendor, it was absolutely amazing.
Cons: There are only a few things I didn't like about the hotel. I did not like the height of the bed.... I'm short so I found it very difficult to get in bed, and the blanket was too thick and loud, I don't like bedding that makes a rustling noise.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful resort in a great location! Our studio was well appointed, especially with the heated tile floors. Nice touch!
Cons: Resort fee was definitely too high, in my opinion. Especially for a stay the first of May, when there wasnt much going. It was obviously a slow time!
8,2 Excellent
Pros: The beds are amazing. I don't know what linens they use but they were the most beautiful sheets I've ever slept in. Bathrooms are gorgeous. The pool and resort are quite beautiful and I can't wait to come back in the winter, when I think it will be even more fun.
Cons: Our stay felt slightly like an off-season experience. It was a little quiet but more than that, there was only one bath towel in the bathroom, and lots of empty trays were maybe soaps and things should have been. Also, I placed a room service order and received something completely different when the food arrived, turns out we had an old menu from last year. Finally, I opened the fridge to put things into, and there were 2 containers of takeout left in it. It just seemed like they were short staffed or something. I definitely expected Stowe Mountain Lodge to be on point with details like this and they weren't. Finally, upon check in we didn't receive any information regarding amenities, restaurants, etc. not very welcoming at the front desk, which they need to work on otherwise you get the sense they just want to run your credit card and that's about it. Valet and bell service is outstanding however.

9,4 Excellent
Pros: The front desk man was awesome! And the location was perfect.
Cons: The bowling alley attached was TERRIBLE, the staff acted like we were putting them out by being there even though we’d go in two or three hours before they closed. After the second time we went we gave up, everyone there was super rude.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Brand new and always kept clean. We asked to be moved into a bigger room and they were more than happy to accommodate us. The pool and hot tub is clean and nice. Our room was brand new and clean. Breakfast was included and very good. All staff were great. We will be staying here again next year.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The bowling alley, and the stream that runs behind it, with the mountain view. The room was clean and easy to get too.
Cons: N/A
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Location was perfect, right down the road from Stowe Ski Resort. Bar located in the bowling alley and the jacuzzi was a perfect end to a ski day. The hot breakfast in the morning was very good!
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Clean and spacious rooms. A little odd with the wash basin outside the actual bathroom in a common area. Frig, hangars and comfy chairs. Beds are Ok, although a little too soft (worn) for my liking. Close to many nearby amenities. Nice rustic atmosphere in town.
Cons: Not enough chairs in the room to accommodate more than two people. While there's a sofa pullout, it can't be used when sitting around a table. The washroom also had a distinctive odour between chlorine and urine. Not overpowering but perceptible. No screen on bathroom window allowing mosquitoes in.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Great place for family and kids.
Cons: The breakfast service could be improved. That being said it is included, but they run out of things and don’t get replaced nearly quick enough and the coffee could be better. Outside of the breakfast - no complaints.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Location is the best! the bike trail is across the street. The bowling alley is so fun! They are pet friendly
Cons: Coffee maker too small. I brought my own :)
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The location was great and the staff was so friendly and helpful! They also have great property for the pups to run around on.
Cons: You could hear the bowling alley from our room because we were right above the pins...
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Stowe Bowl, pool, allow dogs, high ceilings, large bathroom :)
Cons: Hot tub was closed
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The room has a nice layout, there was plenty of room for all of our gear. It is useful to have the sink outside the toilet/shower. It was by no means fancy, but everything was clean. The breakfast was better than we expected - they said continental but there was hot food too (potatoes, eggs and rotating sausage, bacon, french toast, biscuits). Kids enjoyed the bowling, and it was nice to have a restaurant/bar right in the hotel.
Cons: Lots of noise from snowplowing/snow shoveling but they can't control the weather!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We loved this place so much! Very trendy, very cute, and right in the heart of the most adorable town.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Location. Price.
Cons: Room was very stuffy at arrival. Took one day to air out

9,6 Excellent
Pros: Clean rooms and a great breakfast. The Pool, Hot Tub, and sauna were great.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location for the Stowe Ski Resort, less than 10 minute drive. The ski bus stop is right in front of the hotel. Breakfast was excellent and ready early. Plenty of parking with some covered parking. They even have an electric car plug in spot. Nice sitting area with fireplace. Game room was well equipped; pool was fun, hot tub, and sauna. Our 11 y/o had a lot of fun with the other kids. They had a washer and dryer (pay). The staff was very helpful and friendly. I broke my knee skiing and the staff helped my wife pack our car when we checked out. They even offered to move me to a room closer to the entrance. Stowe is a magnificent town, all year I am sure. Natural beauty of the area is magnificent. So many restaurants. What else could you ask for?
Cons: I am so glad I didn't spend the money to stay on the Mountain. The evening activities are in the town, not on the ski resort.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: price was good and our expectation weren't high- but from the welcoming - the atmosphere- the design- the cleanness- the breakfast- the indoor pool and sauna - all this made us feel very comfort and as a matter of fact we decided to stay another day.

Pros: The greatest charm of this place is the log cabin style game room with the roaring fireplace and exquisite holiday cheer. The bar and lounge is well stocked with top shelf and the family is a delight. Additionally my wife and I found the bed extremely comfortable, rounding Hob Knob out to be the perfect ski and stay destination.

Pros: It was so cute. The decor was so cool and country rustic right down to the salt shakers. It was so warm and cozy. The people owners were great. I have older kids 19, and 21 and it was cool for them and it also is great for younger kids. Loved this place in every way!
Cons: Not a thing!

Cons: Early Check-out was a little confusing, was unsure about key drop-off. Would be beneficial if explained at check-in.
5,0 Okay
Pros: Excellent location close to Stowe, large comfortable rooms.
Cons: Was listed as dog friendly but when we arrived the owner asked us to leave the lobby and common areas stating dogs only allowed in the rooms. We could not utilize the included breakfast because we had to stay in room and there was no room service. Didnt feel very dog friendly.

Pros: We enjoyed our stay. The only thing my husband was sick when we got to the property and had purchase a room for him. Also, we needed to head out one day early because of the New Reports of the snow storm which was coming. We did not want to drive in the storm while traveling to Long Island, NY. The property staff was not understanding and we were charged for the room. They told us this is a holiday week and refunding us for the one night was not their policy.
Cons: Charging us for the night which we did not stay because of advisory of winter storm warning from Sunday evening through Tuesday. We did check out before 11:00am on Sunday morning.

Pros: We were very happy with our stay in early October. The location of the hotel is great, just a quick drive to Stowe village. It's also right across the street from the Alchemist brewery and a few restaurants. We were very happy with the room, it was a little older - but everything was very clean and well taken care of. Each room has a DVD player and you can check out DVDs from their office! They even had new releases :) We'd definitely recommend anyone staying here if you want to stay at a relaxed, family owned hotel!

5,0 Okay
Pros: The room was as represented modern and clean however the jacuzzi did not work!
Cons: The fact that the jacuzzi didn't work and I was looking forward to that and also the fact that they did not tell me that the restaurant was under renovation and therefore we had to eat elsewhere! I felt this was dishonest not to tell ahead before booking!
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Our stay was very pleasant. The room was very clean and comfortable. The bed was exceptional and I fell asleep immediately. We enjoyed the jacuzzi and sauna. The restaurant was unfortunately under renovations so I can't speak about the food. Our room had a living room area with a large TV, and the bedroom had a massive flat screen TV, it was like watching in the theatre.
Cons: My only suggestion would be that the room come with complimentary bathrobes considering the walk to the pool area. Would come again.
9,1 Excellent

Pros: Location was great outside of town and on the recreation trail. Easy access to town as well as mountain. Was a good location to do fall foliage drives and hiking. Had a good breakfast restaurant with lots of choices.
Cons: Rooms could use an update. Had a strong stale odor / carpet needs to be cleaned or freshened up. Would be an easy fix. Hits you when you walk into the room. Not a deal breaker though to staying again at an overall good hotel.

Pros: The Inn is located in a great spot. Lot’s of eateries next door, 20min away from Stowe Ski resort, and bowling. Host was very nice and attentive. Check-in booth gives you that homey feel. We booked a King room and was impressed at how large room was. Great place to stay for a quick weekend trip!

Pros: Lovely location, cosy common space with fireplaces, beautiful views , feeling like home. It does need a renovation, but maybe that smell of old and wood contributes to the charm. The restaurant serves excellent food.
Cons: I would suggest to start the breakfast at least an hour earlier

Pros: lounge, view
Cons: Fantastic view from large, spacious lounge. Staff great, but in need of a major renovation.

Pros: Comfortable! Nice place!

Pros: We did not eat here, but did have a few beers which were good. The heating pipes were quite noisy and that was mildly irritating. The staff was great and we particularly liked the sitting area!
Cons: see above

Pros: The layout was very unique.

Pros: In our room, we enjoyed having a bidet and a dressing room. The lobby was chalet style cozy. My daughter and I enjoyed our morning hot chocolate and coffee there while playing one of the provided board games. We had a great Bavarian style dinner in the Fritz Bar. It was a nice pool. Small but perfect for my kiddo who is still learning how to swim. The property is also near Weissner Woods which has easy walking trails or XC skiing, depending on the conditions. Stowehof is at a great location. Close to the mountain but not on the main road. We look forward to staying there again.
5,0 Okay
Pros: The fireplace and the lobby area were great! Quaint and relaxing with great views.
Cons: I paid extra for a room with a view which was minimal. The water only got lukewarm and our sliding door wouldn't lock properly.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing!! Such a cool place! If youre looking for a normal boring holiday inn keep looking...but if youre looking for a super cool hotel.. Picture worthy and makes you want to return from your Stowe adventuring to hang out by the pool this is it!!
8,0 Excellent
Pros: We were fortunate to get a room within a 4 hr notice. Our plane got delayed so we needed a room in Stowe for the night. We didn't arrive until after midnight and there was an envelope with a key and note for us. We slept well and were happy to have a hot shower and hot breakfast the next morning. Very charming place and we would stay here again!
Cons: The room was freezing when we got in. The wall heaters didn't take long to get things warmer but it would've been nice to already be warm. The shower head is too small and needs to be upgraded so water hits all of you not just half.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Plenty of charm, clean spacious comfortable room and comfortable beds and gorgeous view
Cons: None
6,0 Good
Pros: The beds and rooms were nice, good value.
Cons: We ran out of hot water one of our nights and the issue never got resolved. Pretty disappointing after a long day of skiing.

6,7 Good
Pros: Location is nice. Bed comfortable.
Cons: That hotel wouldn’t allow cancellation almost two weeks out without charging for one night. put bad taste in mouth going into stay. Musty smell and stuffy in halls and common areas. Very dated furnishings and decor. Ice machine out of order on 3rd floor so had to go to 1st at back of building for ice.
7,1 Good
Pros: Our stay was peaceful and quiet. We liked the fireplaces in the public areas. We also enjoyed the afternoon coffee/ tea and cookies and the availability of coffee in the morning.
Cons: There was really not a welcoming feeling. The staff was not very friendly, other than the young men who helped the tour visitors with their luggage. Those visitors seemed to get a lot of attention from everyone, but we may as well have been invisible.

Pros: Location.
Cons: Bed was worn out. Sagged very badly to center. I notified front desk. Hall dirty. Strong pot smell in hall.
7,0 Good
Pros: It has the need for major renovations. It may have been great at one time but no longer.
Cons: EVERYTHING needs renovation. Stool in our room had a huge threadbare spot with the stuffing showing. Rust in tge shower. Broken cement, potholed roadways, uneven cem ent. I wish I could send you pics I took of the room.
6,0 Good
Pros: room was nice, building and grounds were below average
Cons: not really
5,0 Okay
Pros: Location was great, indoor fitness gym (do not have to go outside to get to it), restaurant attached also. Great pillows.
Cons: Was told I can buy a $10 voucher for breakfast but when the time came, the front desk and restaurant had no idea what I was talking about. Fireplace in room made a terrible noise constantly (due to wind in chimney/flue), dated, mattress was worn out.

7,0 Good
Pros: Breakfast was great! Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Cons: The website said that there was a microwave in the room, but the only microwave was in the lobby. I was feeding 5 children and 2 adults microwave dinners and it was inconvenient to walk all the way to the lobby to heat up each meal.
7,0 Good
Pros: Staff were outstanding - from front desk to the restaurant, everyone was awesome. Location was great - if you were traveling midweek in late Jan/Feb to ski, or in the summer to hike.
Cons: The property is very dated, and in need of a major upgrade. The bathroom light/fan unit was full of dust/webs, with an exposed marrette poking out. Cleaning this would also help with longevity of the unit - though it did make it this far. I can't knock the property for being where it is, but a word of caution to future travelers: if you stay here for a busy ski date, do leave the hotel NO LATER than 8:00 AM. There is only one road into Stowe, and all it takes is that driver from Florida going off the road to ruin your and many other's trip ...
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast buffet and view from the dinning room was lovey.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, great food, clean comfortable rooms
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Great value for the money. Cozy. 3 hot tubs and a pool. Breakfast included.
Cons: There were cookies offered in the lobby, but we didn’t get any either day because they ran out
7,0 Good
Pros: Their breakfast, which is included, is likely better than others in the area. Also, there is shuttle pick-up to the mountain and other prime locations. The room was cozy and the bed was comfortable. The staff was friendly.
Cons: The hot tub near the pool was not hot and the breakfast sausage was slimy.
4,0 Okay
Pros: Location (however road work was done outside all night repaving)
Cons: Room was on the 3rd floor not accessible by elevator. It was an attic room with only a skylight that wasn't well sealed. Wouldn't pass fire code in many states. Dining room closed due to a tour bus taking over, the bar was overfilled as a result. Bad
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was great Staff Location Food Top notch
6,0 Good
Pros: Close to attractions
Cons: Air conditioning did not work
7,4 Good
Pros: It is an older hotel, so everything is not updated, but it doesn't pretend like it is the newest and nicest place which in itself is refreshing. It's exactly what you're looking for in a place like Stowe where most of your time is spent not at the hotel. Good value, good location, excellent staff.
Cons: The room that I was in had a distinct mildew odor, which may have come from the HVAC system.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean
9,0 Excellent
Pros: It had a bar and full restaurant. We arrived late in the afternoon after a long day. It was good not to have to go anywhere. Food was good and reasonably priced. The rooms were quiet.

Pros: This Inn is so pretty & best location in Stowe. Can walk to so much. Rooms are beautiful & quiet. Fun bar to meet people and enjoy a drink a & delicious cozy restaurant, The Whip.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: It was so cute. The decor was so cool and country rustic right down to the salt shakers. It was so warm and cozy. The people owners were great. I have older kids 19, and 21 and it was cool for them and it also is great for younger kids. Loved this place in every way!
Cons: Not a thing!
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable bed and good shower. Responsive and friendly property owners, cared and worked hard at making sure you enjoyed your stay.

Pros: Location on free bus route to ski resort, short walk to amenities save a grocery store. Nice sitting lounge with fireplace. Adjacent tot he river and the Stowe Recreation Trail.

Pros: Perfect location for my needs. I wanted to go hiking in the Stowe area and this hotel served as a great hub for all my mini day trips. The staff respected my privacy, it was quiet, and the place was clean and comfortable.

7,7 Good
Pros: Location was great outside of town and on the recreation trail.
