Nestled just within the beautiful Schmeekle reserve, you can watch the deer in the field near the parking lot or feed the ducks in the marshlands nearby. Nature trails abound in the area, including the Green Circle trail, which spans over 24 miles past lakes, rivers, and tons of wildlife. Pets accepted for a nominal fee.

The location was off my travel route, but I was happy to go out of my way because I knew the stay would make it worthwhile. It was indeed a charming stay and a great value!

Pros (+) The front desk staff were friendly.
Cons (-) The refrigerator made an annoying noise and we ended up unplugging it. The room itself was clean, but has seen better days, especially the bathroom. The worst part though, was being woken up at 6:45 am with the very loud housekeeping training session that went on for hours. “Don’t bother winding the vacuum cord…just plug it in to the next outlet.
