The Newly Renovated Super 8 in State College PA is a great location to meet with friends, family or colleagues for business or pleasure. You can enjoy a concert at Bryce Jordan Center, a football game at Beaver Stadium or a Parents weekend at Penn State University. We are a central location between Philadelphia and Pittsburgh or Washington DC and Erie, PA contact us to host your family reunion, meeting or a college reunion. We feature 141 nicely appointed guest rooms with a choice of King, Queen and Double Beds, also available are suites and efficiency room types. In each room you will find Free High Speed Internet Access, Nintendo Play Station, Over 50 cable channels to choose from. All our guests enjoy Free Daily Newspaper, Free Continental Breakfast, and Fitness Center. To accommodate your meeting or banquet needs we offer space to accommodate up to 120 guests in our Laurel Room, or 15 guests in our break-out rooms. Pros:Great value for sure and easy access to campus and surrounding area attractions. Room was exactly what I expected. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Cons:They said they had breakfast but was a bit sparse.
Pros:Location. Plenty of places to eat.
Cons:Because we were a family, it would have been good to have a little mini fridge in the room for left overs
Pros:ordinarily it would be a good value for the money, but they tripled their prices for a football weekend, which means that it was less than a good value for what you get. clean and relatively quiet
Cons:family with dog in room next to me. they left the dog alone for long periods, during which it howled and barked the whole time.
Pros:Our room was exceptionally large compared to some hotels. They let us check in early too.
Cons:No refrigerator or microwave. There was a microwave by the front desk for all to use, I did not see it till we left.
Pros:The rooms are very spacious and comfortable... Wish ALL rooms had a fridge tho.... Breakfast is usually good as well.... Greg is a GREAT people person who works the over night shift...... Very helpful and always cheerful and polite to guests.....
Cons:Stayed in a room after a busy weekend and it wasnt the cleanest it could have been.... Food substance on window ledge for some reason..... Coffee pot dusty and when ran water through it there was stuff floating in the water....
Pros:Before I booked the hotel I read the reviews and I took a chance. I'm glad I did! I have no clue why someone would rate the hotel low. I have been in hotels for twice the price and this hotel was really a good deal for the price and very clean!! Don't hesitate!
Pros:We arrived on Friday evening before the Penn State football game. The hotel staff kindly welcomed us at the front entrance with cookies, water, and other snacks. The location was easy to find and not too far from campus, although not walkable. Our room was clean and better than I had expected. The bed was comfortable and clean. There was a breakfast but we did not utilize it. WiFi was also available for free in the room.
Cons:Our hotel room was located just around the corner from the front lobby on the main floor. Although this was convenient for getting out to our vehicle the hallway was noisy. We could hear people talking in the hallway from inside our room throughout much of the night. I wish we had been given a more quiet room.
Pros:Plenty of families staying there. Construction workers gave us a better feeling of security. Seriously.
Cons:The doors to motel did not lock. Anybody from street could walk in and get on elevator. No security cameras.
