Pros: Property was close to everything. Felt extremely comfy and homey! Morning breakfast was a fantastic spread....little bit of something for all tastes. Fresh fruit was delicious. Encompassed the best parts of the B&B experience, with generous hosts, and wonderful breakfast companions in the other B&B goers. Would travel here again, and recommend it to all.

Pros: Very clean heritage house with a period furniture in a quiet neighborhood, excellent breakfast, walking distance from the town center.
Cons: We stayed in this B&B for two nights. One of the beds in our room was horrible, producing loud cracking noise with every move. The other was slightly quieter. The other couple also complained about a worn out mattress. Surprisingly the owner said we were the first to complain and that they would look into the problem only after our departure. The owner insisted that the guests need to move around the house either bare footed or to use B&B worn out slippers.

Cons: Requested an additional night and acknowledged request but told 2 days out that additional night was not available. The Breakfast provided was adequate but not the variety is not equivalent to provided at other similar accommodation venues we stayed at. The At WItts Inn site says complimentary breakfast but it is called a Bed and Breakfast so breakfast should be a given.

Cons: The bed was too hard. My back ached as a result. The bathroom sink was too small and too low. With the exception of boiled eggs, the breakfast was poor.

Cons: No proper reception, my room was on the top floor, had to be dragging heavy bags into my room with my daughter alone, didn't see anybody until about noonday. Inconsistency and non adherence to terms and conditions of my agreement, was always rudely addressed by the owner .

Cons: There was nothing I didn't like. I will need to read better and look for the rooms with ensuites. I was attending a function at the the Health Science Centre. There aren't any good locations for that in St John's. The Rose was a great choice handy to everything I was looking for in a room. Nice walking to the waterfront, the Battery and Signal hill.
