Pros (+) Really adorable historic stay! I loved the elegant music and relaxing common area on the second floor to sit by the fire and read. Room was huge and warm and comfortable. Very adorable!
Cons (-) Bathrooms could use more effort. We're dated and oddly colored didn't suit the rest of the hotel. Stairs were super creaky haha but not much they can do perhaps. The unicorn in the hotel should make better cocktails. Would bring the place up a bit.

Pros (+) Nice style, nice staff, clean rooms
Cons (-) Wont go back. Beds horrible. Couldnt sleep. Could hear neighbor room like there wasnt a wall there. Loud sex at 2 in the morning. No sleep and not rested

Pros (+) I loved the decor - it felt so luxurious. The surrounding neighborhood was wonderful to stroll around, and the nightlife seemed really interesting. Everything about this place is thoughtful and enjoyable.
Cons (-) The complimentary breakfast was nothing to brag about, but it rarely is, and it didn't diminish my experience one bit. There are plenty of places nearby to enjoy a more full breakfast experience.

Pros (+) The room was great, and the history and character were well preserved through the restoration. The hotel will be even better when the surrounding construction is finished.
Cons (-) No in house breakfast, but they offered discounts and complimentary breakfast at the Ruby Hotel, less than a block away.

Pros (+) Picked the Montvale for it's location and price, was very pleased with the quality of our room. I would say adult only simply because of it's location to bars (they're good bars though) and lack of breakfast options in the immediate vicinity. But the Satellite Diner and Sante are only short walk away. We also discovered that Post Street Ale House serves breakfast, which was awesome.
Cons (-) The Montvale nor Hotel Ruby are really set up to serve a proper breakfast, props on the Thomas Hammer Coffee though. Luckily there are food options downtown. Post Street Ale House serves awesome breakfast nachos and Sante is a personal favorite for breakfast.

Pros (+) Loved the old class with a touch of modern. Breakfast was a block away, and small amount of parking. But if you love the elegance of 1800's architecture; then this is a definite yes!
