Very noisy, cars and plane's, very small rooms ,very dated ,definitely not worth 40 pounds .
Location and staff good
It was an anxious time for me as I was waiting for a flight from Birmingham Airport to my home in the USA during the Coronavirus outbreak. The hotel is in an excellent position with a bus stop right across the street giving easy access to Solihull, the Airport and Birmingham town center. The owners were very helpful and kind. They provided everything I needed to make my stay smooth, comfortable and safe.
Linen and towels were clean, room was warm and staff were nice.
The wifi was nonexistent in my room. I had to go down the hall or sit in the car to get wifi. Television reception was awful. Could only get a few channels and no ITV channels. The picture kept dropping out and frequently said no reception. The light was dropping off the ceiling but when a reported it it did get fixed after a couple of days. The room looked very tired and the decoration was not well done. Paint all over mirror surrounds etc.The room was very noisy due to the road traffic. There was a vertical blind at the window, if there had also been a thick curtain this would help with the noise and would make the room not so polluted with light at night
The water was lovely and hot. The bed was linen was clean.
The room was tired looking with lots of damp evidence. No lock on the bathroom door. Bathroom soap dish dirty. Radiator rusty and dirty
