Cons:Booked online over a month ago, got there and they had no cars for my reservation. Didn’t even offer to upgrade me for free, had to pay over $100 for a vehicle that they had. Never called me to let me know they didn’t have the car I rented in stock and then I had to pay for their poor planning. Couldn’t even find the way in, had to park on the side and walk through the bushes. Horrible experience. Even after I paid I had to wait over 30 min to get the car and it wasn’t even that clean.Reviewed Oct 6 2020

Pros:I think his name is Jeff R. He was really good and frankly and professionalCons:We got offered upgrade for our car for fee. When I said no they gave me upgrade for free. Pros:The staff was friendly and very helpful. On our 3rd day, we walked out to a flat tire. A representative was in the process of dispatching someone to come and change the tire. However, my husband was able to do it. The representative also made arrangements for us to exchange the car the next day (our decision to wait a day and not mess up our plans). We were given another nice car of equal or better value. The process was seamless. We were happy with the vehicle and the service. Will definitely use them again.Reviewed Feb 15 2021

Didn't get what we paid forPros:When we returned the car, we made mention of our poor experience and the rep that handled our complaint was a pro. She was extremely helpful and apologetic. She left us considering another rental based on how well she treated us. Hopefully our experience with this one gentleman in the beginning is not representative of all the Sixt reps.Cons:The rep that we checked-in with was rude. He told us immediately that the insurance we purchased wouldn't cover the car we rented. I called the insurance group and they confirmed that they DID cover the car we were renting. I felt like the Sixt rep was trying to "take us for a ride" as soon as we walked in. Then he went in the back and told us they didn't have the car we rented and they were giving us a "free upgrade". We didn't want the upgrade, we wanted the car they promised us when we made the reservation. Then we walked outside and saw the exact car we rented sitting right on the lot. Not a great feeling and would not recommend this company based on this person's terrible and disrespectful service. For the amount we paid, we just wanted the car they promised us or something similar. Not worth the money or hassle at all.Reviewed Mar 21 2017

Sixt's dishonest practicePros:Chevy Camaro is Awesome.Cons:Upon return of Car the Sixt representative and I walk around the car to inspect for any damages. Sixt rep said "All is good, no issues". I agreed as there was no damage so I made final payment to agreement but 2 wks later I received a damage letter for a flat tire costing $455. Sixt Claims department has refused any understanding that their own rep approve the car w/ no damage. That removed me from contesting the damage on the spot as should be the case same as they do when you leave. Now Sixt Claims Department is threatening further charges and of course the hit to my Credit. NEVER AGAIN FOR ME renting from Sixt. Highly dishonest practices .Reviewed Nov 28 2018

The rental location is gated sometimesCons:The rental location was not easy to get to - it was gated from the main road and there was no signage directing my taxi driver around the block to the secondary street that would allow access. I had to walk from the main road to the office to figure that out and the result was about $10 extra in my cab fare. Also - the car they gave me - kind of a junker - lots of dings and scratches, no pick up when getting on the highway even with the accelerator matted and there was a weird, mysterious squealing sound when I changed lanes from left to right... definitely feel safer out of it!Reviewed Mar 7 2017

Pros:Although off airport we prefer to use Sixt however they only offer deals sometimes with the rental websitesCons:The car we had which we actually upgraded to was very nice but the next day after pick up we were going up to Orlando and noticed 2 things first thing was it smelt of smoking when we turned a/c up and there were two a/c vents that were broken and we had to open and close with a pen...Reviewed Jun 26 2018
