Greentree Inn Shanghai Zhongshan Hutai Business Hotel

Efficiency of staff to solve issues. The easy way to get a taxi.

There was no real black coffee at breakfast, neither real orange juice. These two products should be mandatory for international (Greentree Hotel wear a US flag...) business hotel. Renovation workers noise starting early. Cleanliness a bit disturbing. (Dust on plants, stain on carpets and walls, etc.)

The only thing that I liked about this hotel is its location relative to the center. The cost is completely worn.

The hotel has a repair, but only on the top floor. The staff does not understand English at all, despite the fact that the hotel has American flags hanging. The staff will not help you solve your problems. Very dirty corridor, and especially the carpet on the floor in the hall. The rooms are very heavily smoked and it is very difficult for a non-smoking person to be in them. All the plumbing is very bad. Everywhere vyl.

My first room was a hole, but at least the bed was nice and very comfy, although I did have to pluck weird plant seeds (at least I hope that's what they were) from the mattress. The second room "kingsize" was actually smaller, but in much better condition. One has to Easter Egg Hunt for some things (like the hairdryer) but the bed-chair-desk ratio makes a lot more sense. The security guy is really nice and even helps you with the taxi. There is no problem ordering sherpa food to the hotel foyer.

a) for a Business hotel, they only have one staff member that kinda sorta speaks English. Also if you are a foreigner, expect that all Chinese will be served before you. b) The sixth floor is without elevator and with ancient, trolley-unfriendly carpet. c) the booked room was a mess. It was screaming-dirty basically everywhere except the bed itself. The tiles of the floor were broken. The cabinet stank of mold. The desks were arranged to be as unusable as possible. The toilet was leaking so the bathroom floor was constantly wet and stinky. d) i got upgraded, yay, but the first room I got was still a mess from a previous booking, like "hurricane Sandy" mess. Third time they got it right. e) the place is really lightly build, I could hear normal talking and music from the rooms to both sides of mine in addition to the constant highway noise f) the metro station is roughly 20 Minutes away if you are a fast walker and the way is boring. There is one shop nearby for base necessities and Ramen.
