Good location for century park and for the maglev. Comfortable place!

We always stay in this hotel when we are in Shanghai. The location is superb, especially if goes to Pudong airport as the metro is just next door. The room is clean and quiet. The breakfast is excellent. Definitely will stay again.

It was a really comfortable room with a great view towards the Shanghai Skyline. Location is right next to a metro station Line 2 that takes you to both airports, and there is a shopping mall nearby. Breakfast could be improved but was decent.

First of all, it was amazing that I've booked this hotel! Location just by the Century Park and door-to-door with Century Park Station made stay brilliant. Moreover, breakfast was delicious every single day, not mentioning the staff that was very helpful in time I needed help to find the cell-phone I lost... Very comfortable beds, clean both bedroom and bathroom.

It’s very close to the metro , direct connection from the airport/railway station by metro. Good breakfast. Staffs are very friendly .

Room was top notch clean, staff attentive and helpful. The lady who cleaned our room put back our rabbit-smile friend top and wrapped it up in jacket to keep them warm. Oh, so sweet gesture. The hotel is excellent location directly next to the metro, there is a super mart just across the road, a convenient store and cafe just around the corner and a park just opposite the hotel.

Hotel is probably a little old as seen from the toilet walls but overall not much of a problem, the room is sparkling clean.

Good location for Exhibition Center. Metro station right next to hotel. Nice quiet area.

Everything is good

Very nice room, great breakfast. The metro station is next to the lobby, so it will be very easy to visit the city and get to the airport (20 minutes taking the Maglev). Very close to the exhibition center.

I did ask to check in at 7am but I had to wait 3 hours in the lobby to get into the room. I understand that there were no room available, but I would have preferred an answer, which has never arrived, to my request sent some days before. However nothing to complain because staff was great.

Comfortable bed and pillow. The metro was just next to the hotel. Very convenient. And if you want to exercise in a nice park. Century park is just across the road.

I had issues with the climate control. I sleep hot and couldn’t get the A/C to cool the room, only heat. Staff provided a fan which helped, along with opening the windows.

I like the bread selection. Good service sations (for omelette and noodle) Fruits were always fresh

The hotel is focused on foreign travelers. If it's your first time in Shanghai - Dorsett would be your safe bet. Good food, polite personnel, who speak decent English, great location.

It was very cold in my room and the conditioning could not be switched to warm the room. On my request a heater was delivered to my room, but it was too cold in the bathroom.

The location of the hotel was situated at the metro exit (Century Park- Line 2), a very convenient location to get to/from downtown Shanghai. The staff were very friendly and both check-in/out were very quick. The rooms were very clean and spacious and contained all the basic supplies (shampoo, body wash, hair dryer, fridge etc). The internet was really fast and was able to connect to Google (super helpful!). Generally, I would stay here again the next time I visit.

The breakfast had a decent selection of food but taste-wise was not the best. Some of the Asian breakfast was too salty (eg. the fried noodles), the yogurt was very watery, and the toaster was extremely slow. Otherwise this is the only minor flaw in this hotel.

Near subway, only 20 meters, direct line to the center of the city.

Staffs are very helpful. Location is great. Just a step away from the subway which leads you to almost everywhere in Shanghai.

The breakfast was great. So were the staff in getting us checked in and out.

The bathroom shower didn't function very well. The vanity was quite small and difficult to put our personal items around the sink.

We loved the balcony room, and my wife was so happy to have a bathtub!

I was there during the logistic exhibition week & this hotel is perfect location for the distance from exhibition hall. There are 3 times in the morning where the hotel provide free transport to SINEC. It is also very strategically located at the Century Park entrance & the metro station.

The gym room is rather small & very limited facility. The sauna room was not functional as well. Anyhow the Century Park is just across the hotel so work out is not an issue, except for the rainy days.

Excellent Location just on door step exit 4 of century park metro station line 2. Clean room and helpful staff will stay again when visiting shanghai.

The food in the restaurant is aweful and has been every year I have stayed here for three years. My friend was up all night being very sick after eating a noodle stir fry dish.

Loved the location. Spent much of my visit walking about Century Park and visiting the Science Museum

Nothing to dislike

The Dorsett is strategically located at the Century Park metro station on Line 2. From the hotel, you can easily access the entrance to the station. Once on Line 2, you have access to the Pudong International Airport on one end and the Hongqiao Airport at the other end.

The service, the ambiance, the cleanliness of the hotel, the friendly and accommodating personnel.

The buffet breakfast had no enough choices and You should have complimentary shuttle service from the airport to your hotel.

Breakfast was lovely. I would have liked to have seen more dim sum. I was there for the trade show. It was at an excellent location right next to a train station. You could also get a train straight to the airport ( either airports)

FANTASTIC location- across from Century Park, train stop literally at your door-up the train station stairs and on the right before you exit to the sidewalk is the hotel entrance!!! The food was great accommodating of many cultures, the bathroom was awesome, bath and shower options. The shuttle bus went to the Expo and I could even hire a bike-which I did, so much fun. The easiest stay in a non-English country. Shanghai is beautiful, clean, organised and modern. See you next year- LOVED IT ALL! The Tech centre is one train ride away-great for shopping, just be prepared and accept that there will be some serious haggling/bargaining that is not common outside of the centre, I loved this too!

as close to the exhibition center there are lot of indians who travel and stay in this hotel but they do not have any indian curry or rice in their menu

Extremely helpful staff. Very nice facility, room, and bathroom. Complementary items such as bottled water were convenient. Free shuttle to the convention center was also great. Location had to be one of the best parts, having a train station directly beneath the hotel was awesome. Made it easy and cheap to get around the city to see the sights!

Fantastic Hotel, Luxury Digs, Even Better Service

I can't recommend Dorsett Shanghai enough! Traveling solo to Shanghai for the first time, I was worried that I could get stuck with a less-than-desirable hotel in an oddly-located part of the city. However, the Dorsett is easily accessed from Line 2 of the Metro, and right across the street from Century Park. The room was amazing. Luxurious quality with a bold design, it made me feel right at home, even on the other side of the world. It also had a beautiful view of the city overlooking the park. I couldn't have been happier. Finally, the service was outstanding. The team at Dorsett was completely accommodating when I needed to cancel a reservation later in the week, and did it without charging me for the room. They were professional and courteous.

I don't have any real complaints about the hotel. My only slight gripe is that I was hoping to have a quick meal at the restaurant before I got on my flight, but the prices were quite a bit more expensive than what I had expected.
