Pros: Everything! The service was exceptional, beautiful setting, excellent food (including the breakfast buffet). Perfect place to get away and recharge, with the hiking, pool, and sauna. Totally worth it.
Cons: The smallest detail, but it would be great if the balcony chairs were a little taller so we could enjoy the view more. We had trouble sleeping one night because the room was very warm.
Pros: Everything was simply superb,
Cons: The only drawback really is that the hotel is quite a hike (along winding roads) to visit major touristic sites in the area.
Pros: The whole hotel was amazing but the choice of restaurants and free exercise classes were highlights
Pros: Lovely place, nice and helpful staff, accompanied by great food. We had the feeling of being really taken care of.
Cons: Nothing. I would only slightly improve the beds which were a bit small.
Pros: Nice quaint town . Great food. Lovely breakfast . Awesome staff
Cons: There was no provision for tea or coffee in the room . A nespresso machine and tea kettle in the room would have been great. Beds are not very comfortable and the decor is basic.
Pros: Afternoon tea was served when we arrived and an excellent breakfast. Beautiful room with lovely views.
Cons: It`s a massive hotel with many restaurants but the staff still had a personal touch.
Pros: Excellent service, Great food Facilities were wonderfull

Pros: Motorcycling tour with 5 friends - this place is cheap, very close to the B500 road and easy to find after a long ride. Owners were helpful, breakfast was fine. The town is nice with a good restaurant nearby.
Pros: Very quite location with onsite parking. Breakfast fresh and everything you need. Decor a little dated and a little musty in stairwell. Heater in bathroom not working. Hosts helpful and friendly. Stairs no lift which may be an issue to some.
Pros: Beautiful and clean room. Great view Fresh rose at side of bed. Super happy host Amazing breakfast Very close to an amazing Greek restaurant
Cons: very clean and spacious
Pros: The friendlyness of the owners, the quite location the facilities all together made a wonderful stay.

Pros: The view is exceptional. The couple of the owners is very helpful and prompt. The breakfast is satisfactory. The room is quiet and the bed is comfortable.
Cons: The temperature control of the heating system. There were big fluctuations in room temperature, depending on the ons and offs of the central heating system. The water supply of the toilet flush tank and the hand washbasin was inadequate upon our arrival but the owner managed to repair the problems.
Pros: Best view ever!!and very relaxing and quiet. Staff so helpful and nice.
Cons: A basic breakfast . I would add some additional items to make it more varied. But still it was very good and it started off our day wonderfully.
Pros: If someone asked me to describe pension garni Talblick in one word my answer would be '' heaven '', room was descent, breakfast was delicious, the view was breath taking and magnificent ,i spent eight days there and my stay was amazing. i would like to thank the owners mark and hermine for thier friendliness and kindness and warm welcoming.
Cons: Nothing at all
Pros: Very nice place to stay with an amazing view. The owners are very friendly, helpful and available for any request and question. There are many hike possibilities just outside the guest house. And it's worth to try a great homemade Flammkuchen.
Pros: .nice views from the terrace, friendly staff.

Featured amenities include multilingual staff, laundry facilities, and an elevator. A train station pick-up service is provided at no charge, and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Svetlana, courtesy, quality
Cons: Small shower
Pros: Our room was clean, big and comfortable. Nice pool and outdoor sauna.
Cons: Breakfast buffet a bit poor for a hotel category. Some room for improvement of food quality ( some tomatoes were over ripe) and arrangement as well (simple pilling of deli is not very attractive). On our day one croassons on first come basis! Boking half board was not possible, but we were recommended to eat a' la carte in a hotel restorant. Which was fully booked when we arrived from hiking in the afternoon. Unfortunately, yonug staff at arrival obviously forget to inform us about this possibility. Very unpleasant experience in a small village with scarce food offer! As outdoor sauna is really nice it is a pitty there is no cold pool only one feeble shower next to the empty barrel that could be easily filled with cold water.
Pros: Very comfortable bed and warm staffs
Cons: Breakfast could be more choices
Pros: Lovely array of food for breakfast, helpful staff arranged for transportation to and from the train station, since we had no car. Although we didn't have a chance to use the pool, it looked inviting. The room was large and included robes. We ate dinner one night at the hotel as well, which was very good. There's a good clothing store nearby, too.
Cons: There was no elevator on our side of the building, so it could be an issue for people with disabilities or older guests.
Pros: The breakfast was complete and very good with a proper omelet station. Fresh juices would have been nicer. During the mornings, an older couple manages the front desk, and they are very capable and helpful. Perhaps they are the owners, and if so, should hire more people like them to work at reception.
Cons: Where to start: firstly, when you go to the Black Forest, you do not expect a hotel in the middle of the city without any green whatsoever. Secondly, the decor of the bedrooms and the bathrooms do not seem to have been updated since the 1970’s. The carpets are old and worn. There are no light blocking curtains. The beds and bedding are very comfortable, however. Also, some staff barely speak German or English and there is absolutely no one at reception after 10pm. This is not,?by any stretch of the imagination, a 4-star Hotel. Finally, our room was on the third floor, no elevator, and nowhere in the booking was this detailed. What do you do if you have limited mobility? There are much better hotels in the region.
Set on a scenic hill and the only hotel in the newly founded Black Forest Nature Park, this 4-star hotel features elegant, country-style rooms with great views. Guests enjoy free access to the modern spa facilities and free WiFi. Designed using light, wooden décor and furnishing, the spacious rooms at the Nationalpark-Hotel Schliffkopf come with a balcony and private bathroom. A seating area and satellite TV are included. A combination of regional and light dishes is prepared at the Restaurant L'os Rouge and Restaurant Auerhahn. Small snacks can be enjoyed in the lounge and Paparazzi Bar. The region is ideal for activities such as hiking, mountain biking and rock climbing. The picturesque Alsace region and Strasbourg are also only a 30-minute drive away from the Nationalpark-Hotel Schliffkopf. The A5 motorway connects to Baden Baden and is a mere 15-minute drive away. Electric bike rental is available at the hotel as well as free on-site parking.
Pros: The room was SO clean! They even vacuumed daily! The facility gave us a complimentary room upgrade as we were honeymooning! The pool was great and had a couple small water features within it (waterfall, fountain) - there’s a separate pool area that has an outdoor swim through area, too! Meals were absolutely fantastic from breakfast to the five course dinners! Our server Daniel was kind and funny and made great wine recommendations!! The bartenders made cocktails that were works of art and were delicious! oh can’t forget that you’re RIGHT in a national park in the Black Forest with tons of walking paths everywhere! We want to come back!!
Cons: The spa was okay. Staff was lovely but I’ve gotten better quality manicure in Wisconsin for a fraction of the price! Manicure with color was over 70 euro and I had to ask for my cuticles to be trimmed. We also registered for a couples massage and we were massaged in different rooms which was unexpected.
Pros: Awesome spa and pool, fabulous food, top location for nice walks and great staff.
Cons: No coffee facilities in the room
Pros: The food was fantastic! Location perfect for snowshoeing.
Nestling in the peaceful Tonbach valley, surrounded by the lush countryside of the northern Black Forest, this popular country house awaits you with a traditional atmosphere and breathtaking views. Wonderful paths and hiking trails begin right outside the front door of the Landhaus Eickler, and various outdoor activities can be enjoyed nearby. When you need a break from your adventures, sit on the café terrace and gaze at the beautiful scenery while sampling delicious, home-made cakes and snacks. A 7-minute drive takes you to Baiersbronn, where you find a wealth of fine restaurants.
Pros: Excellent quiet location with great hiking right outside. Welcoming, friendly, and very helpful. Breakfast was good and the cakes were amazing, we tried 5 different ones! The restaurant food is highly recommended. We stayed 3 nights and every evening after a full day out sightseeing and hiking it was wonderful to return to a warm and comfortable house.
Cons: WiFi is not the best, but not really necessary. Pillows were a bit lumpy.
Pros: Great, personal service from our hosts - made us feel at home
Cons: Breakfast could be better. WiFi didn't work because of satellite connectivity issues.
Pros: Spacious room with a fantastic view! We got the Jr Suite while we paid for a standard room. No aircon but even at 38 degrees Celsius outside it was absolutely fine with the shades down. Loved the atmosphere, style, authentic, good value for money. Food & drinks from restaurant were pretty good, we did not really plan on it but ended up eating here 3 nights. Very friendly staff in traditional clothing. Breakfast excellent. Easy parking, walking paths few steps away, 400m from village with some Michelin star restaurants and shop with dirndl dresses. Great area. You really come here for the peacefulness, you hear the water stream from the small river down the hill. Wonder how pretty it will be in winter season.
Cons: Beds a little bit soft to our taste (but we like firm, very personal) and bathroom pretty standard but all OK!
Pros: Breakfast is perfect; the host even made us lunch packages.

Pros: Location was great. Hotel was clean and had a great view from the balcony of our room. Good breakfast available.
Cons: Due to unforeseen circumstances we were late arriving at the hotel and received a very frost reception. The owner waited for us to arrive which was great, however I didn't need a frosty attitude to our arrival after travelling through several unforeseen roadworks and traffic jams. The owner explained it was his day off but I feel he shouldn't have taken my booking or he should have payed for a receptionist to cover our late arrival. Due to the hotel night off we had no bar or restaurant facilities.
Pros: Superb breakfast. We wanted to leave early and our hostess was kind enough to prepare it a little earlier for us. It was also extremely hot when we arrived so the indoor pool was extremely welcoming.
Pros: The location is very nice also super friendly staff thank you for pleasent stay. The breakfast was joyable, and the atmosphere in general very cosy and warm. Nice hotel
Cons: They don't have King or Queen bed they compine 2 twin beds, and the price little higher than other hotels in the same area, everything else is perfect.
Pros: Everything was great ! Excellent place to stay !
Pros: Excellent welcome, super clean location and lovely swimming pool which we had almost to ourselves. Also use of sauna which was a bonus. Lovely food - breakfast and evening meal choices were excellent. Another bonus was cake at 3pm each day! Recommended.
Cons: Nothing. All good.
Pros: This is a beautiful hotel. Loved the room with a balcony. Also great pool and sauna!
Pros: Excellent place to rest and enjoy the Black Forest

Pros: Nice swimming pool, awesome food
Cons: not many kids there, more older people, but the staff was really helpful and sdjusted everything for us
Pros: The wellness area was small but nice. Even though the hotel is located at a main road our room was towards a more quiet side.
Cons: There was no lift in the building where we had our room. Free parking at the hotel was limited but there was additional free hotel parking just a short walk away.
Pros: Nice sauna and swimming pool and nice terrace!
Cons: The staff don’t speak English and any information is not in English, only German.

Traditional Black Forest food is served in the Falken’s restaurant. Guests can also relax on the terrace in good weather.
Pros: Clean up to date great breakfast
Pros: The location was excellent for hiking. The breakfast had a good choice although too many 'white' bread buns were available with the nice brown, seed buns rather rare.
Cons: The bedroom and bathroom were a huge disappointment. I have not seen an avocado bathroom suite with shower curtain since the 1970's. The bedroom was big and clean but depressingly old-fashioned fittings, carpet and one curtain missing. The room did not at all reflect the price of the hotel. I have stayed in over 20 hotels and guest houses in the Black Forest and never had a room and bathroom as ugly as this one. The hotel needs to invest in a re-vamp.
Pros: We had room 43 with a balcony with stunning views over the hills. The room was large and comfortable. Breakfast was second to none and we chose to eat dinner here once. The food was plentiful and rich, a real treat and well-priced. We were glad of free parking on site. This spot in the higher town is quite a social place with a relaxed and popular vibe. The seating in the wellness area looked wonderful.
Cons: The gym equipment was a bit meagre as per most hotels. We struggled a bit to check in and out. The staff are extremely busy with everything. Had to locate all the facilities ourselves which was a bit disappointing. Overall no complaints.
Pros: Large room, Breakfast, Large bathroom, almost everything
Cons: The wifi was not very good. Also as a matter of taste and habit, we did not like the location of the TV, which was at the side of the bed and not in front. We couldn't use the TV as a result.
Pros: Breakfast was good, but a surprise to pay for it.
Cons: We liked everything especially the service from Susanna.
Pros: Good breakfast, nice flowers outside, friendly staff.Good games and playroom.
Pros: We loved the window boxes and balcony for our room. The convenience of the restaurant and bar were an added delight. The staff were helpful and friendly. There was parking under cover right behind the Gasthaus. Would return again if we could.

Pros: Excellent breakfast and diner
Cons: Poor wifi, room could be a little more fancy, but overall nothing to criticize
Cons: Our deluxe room came with a “time house” like staircase to the loft bedroom. We were strategic about going up there; did not even try to take anything up there with us.

Pros: The quaint location on a hilltop which provided an excellent view of the valley below. The breakfast was basic but sufficient to provide enough energy to the start of a day.
Cons: The staff could have been a little more friendly. Not sure if it is due to language issue or they are just generally straight faced.
Pros: The host was very nice. The room was very big and nice.
Cons: The connection to th internet in the room was quite weak.
Pros: The hotel is situated in a beautiful spot
Cons: Only around breakfast times there seems to be staff around which can help. Breakfast was quite basic, with a very limited selection of fruit and vegetables. The room needs to be renovated.
Pros: The staff were all related and it was a very welcoming house. I felt at home.
Cons: It would have been nice to buy a drink at the bar and sit and watch the sunset, instead we purchased a bottle of wine. When we arrived there was no one to check us in for over an hour, however when they did arrive they apologised and explained the reason for their lateness.
Pros: Large room for family with separate rooms for Teenager and Mom/Dad. It was overall a pleasant experience as it was within traveling distance to a lot of the places while being in a quite neighborhood.
Cons: A few things 1. Toiletries could have been move helpful as the provisions were very limited 2. Breakfast table was being cleared by 09:30 - 9:45 already and lack of options during breakfast for Vegetarians / Vegans. 3. Personally prefer better pillows and the ones provided were very uncomfortable to sleep in.

Cons: A bit old fashioned interior but that just adds to the charm!
Pros: Very friendly staff even though they only spoke German.
Pros: AUSGEZEICHNET! EXCELLENT!
Cons: WE HAD TO GO HOME.
Pros: Nice area, easy parking and walking distance from town/restaurants etc. Rooms were good size, clean and comfy bed. Breakfast was good, choice of cheeses, meats etc and good selection of bread rolls straight from the bakery.
Cons: No mirror in bedroom.
Pros: good breakfast, nice room with balcony. good location.
Pros: Excellent property in a lovely village perfect for my motorcycle adventures will use again
Pros: Pretzels are good
Cons: They only accept cash.
Pros: Great location, good amenities, lovely breakfast, GREAT WATER PRESSURE, super friendly staff and very helpful
Cons: Need non European pillows as they are bad for your neck.
Pros: Staffs there are great, very helpful and friendly. The view of Baiersbronn is beautiful and help to relax a lot.
Located in Baiersbronn, Flair Hotel Sonnenhof is a 4-minute drive from Schwarzenberg Church and 9 minutes from Schwarzenbach Dam. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, luggage storage, and laundry facilities. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: This hotel is positioned close to the train station and to the well-known hiking trails in this part of the Schwarzwald. The restaurant is very good, with great local dishes and a good selection of local wines (and beers). Also very nice cakes. It is very well equipped, there is a pool, sauna, quiet room... Rooms are large enough for a small family with spacious and clean bathroom. The staff was very welcoming and helpful.
Cons: The only negative thing is the lack of an electric kettle in the rooms. Sure, you can get your coffee and tea in the restaurant but this (an electric kettle) would be more convenient.
Pros: Good Breakfast. Good Personel.
Pros: breakfast was fine
Cons: opening hours of the restaurant are limited, closes relatively early
Cons: Not a spa hotel
Pros: Superb value for money
Cons: Nothing to fault
Pros: Good location, friendly English-speaking staff, beautiful nature around, good restaurant food.
Cons: Restaurant is open for two hours only during the lunch time. It is impossible to have a lunch there after 2pm
Pros: Friendly welcome, efficient check-in and they turned the sauna on especially. Got a good night’s sleep when driving through the area.
Cons: Restaurant and bar close quite early in the evening . Breakfast (excellent and included in rate) started a bit late (0800) for an early start.
