The location was perfect for me, less than a mile walk from the light rail station, convenient to many wonderful restaurants (try the Jerk Shack across the street), and less than a mile from the Moore Theater where I was attending an event. The two staff people who checked me in were very friendly and efficient. The shared bathrooms in the hallway were very clean, and there were plenty - I never had to wait for one to become available. The bed (and pillows!) were very comfortable. The coffee in the breakfast area was delicious. I liked that my room had a sink, so I could still do things like brush my teeth and wash my face in my own room and didn't need to use the shared bathroom for that.
I don't know if there was an elevator, but one knee started to really hurt, so having to go up a bunch of stairs to check in, and then down a bunch of stairs for 'breakfast' wasn't comfortable. Normally that's not a problem for me. The breakfast was very basic continental - cold cereal, some apples to choose from, toast and jam. Didn't meet my preferences, but I thought the room was a great value without any kind of breakfast offering. The coffee was just what I needed, though. The entrance feels a little hidden, between a restaurant and a somewhat seedy bar, but it was still easy to find and I felt safe.
Clean, good breakfast, trendy
This hotel was one of the cheaper places we stayed in our month long trip through the PNW, and turned out to be one of our favourites. From the moment we walked in the front door, when one of the staff hurried down the stairs to help us with our very heavy bags, to the quality of the amenities in the room we loved this place and wished we could have stayed another night. I’ve stayed in Seattle several times and this is not quite the perfect location but it’s only a 10 minute walk to some of the key attractions. Complimentary light breakfast was pretty good, the market is not far away for something more substantial. Quite a few bars, clubs and good restaurants very close by. Can’t recommend highly enough!
The location was great to Space Needle, Pike Market, etc..
I don't think I can say to improve your great service. Don't fix what needs fixing.
Only stayed about 8 hrs. Booked because it was close to Victoria Clipper port.
Was shocked that there was no access to elevator and a very steep stairway up to the facility. Would not recommend for folks with any problems climbing lots of stairs.
Seattle’s Bellingham neighborhood is home to the original Ace Hotel. This hotel has a minimalistic vibe with white-painted brick walls throughout. Large works of art decorate the lobby while guest rooms have smaller works with many being painted by local artists. Guests can enjoy a scrumptious breakfast in the breakfast room featuring a waffle station along with their favorite cold breakfast items like yogurt and pastries.
This hotel is centrally located to many different downtown Seattle attractions. Chihuly Garden and Glass and P-Patch Community Gardens are both within easy walking distance. Seattle’s Space Needle is located less than a half-mile away while the iconic Pike Place Market is located nearby. It’s a quick cab ride to the Museum of Pop Culture and the Pacific Science Center.
Guests can choose between two types of rooms at the Ace Hotel. Standard rooms have a luxurious shared bath while deluxe rooms have a bath in them. There are 28 guest rooms in all with 14 having shared bathrooms. Full, queen and king-size beds are available. Each room incorporates green plants keeping with the minimalistic theme. Many have white painted floors adding to the minimalistic feeling of the white painted brick walls. The lobby at this hotel is located up a great flight of stairs while the rooms are located on the second floor of this building without an elevator.
With outstanding customer service, a centralized location, and minimalistic décor, guests will not want to wait long to book the Ace Hotel in Seattle.
