The Mercure Sapporo enjoys a location in the popular entertainment district of Susukino, renowned for its many bars and restaurants. Offering easy access to the Sapporo ski resorts and attractions such as the Clock Tower and Sapporo TV Tower, this hotel has it all, including a shopping mall within the building. Featuring 285 rooms equipped with complimentary Internet access, plus a French restaurant and conferencing facilities, the Mercure Hotel Sapporo is ideal for both business and leisure.
Pros: Staff is friendly, the room is cozy, would recommend this hotel.
Pros: Location is highly strategic. Surrounded by an abundance of food options, shopping option, easy access to 2 subway lines. Also being 2 stations away from Sapporo JR station is a welcome bonus. Availability of an airport bus just across the road, coach services to Niseko resorts. I could go on...
Cons: The wardrobe in the doorway. Whilst it's purposeful and utilitarian, I was unable to store my luggage in, and out of the walkway. But not a deal breaker. Maybe having a weighing scale would be helpful in the bathroom. But wait, cancel that, after all the overeating in the vicinity.
Pros: Spacious and cosy room. Good location.
Pros: Everything - location, clean, food, hospitality
Pros: Mercury isnt too close to the Sapporo station but is also in a very good location.. Minutes walk from the subway, many restaurants and shopping around, and the morning market is within a few minutes walk. Only drawback I can think of is the room is a bit small.... After you open a suitcase it becomes difficult to walk around.
Pros: The hotel are in the city center its near from susukino and you can walk around to get some food also near subway. They have a cheaps shop (daiso). And if you like a high brand the hotel near from marumai mall. The mall sell gucci, balenciaga, and etc
Cons: The price a quite expensive
Pros: Excellent location in Susukino (transport, restaurant), very comfy hotel room, helpful & friendly staffs, free shuttle bus to Sapporo station
Cons: Breakfast in hotel need additional charge (about 2000 yen per person), I thought it should be included when i booked, but overall this is a great hotel !!!
With a stay at SAPPORO VIEW HOTEL OODORI KOUEN, you'll be centrally located in Sapporo, within a 5-minute walk of Sapporo Tanukikoji Shopping Street and Odori Park. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and multilingual staff. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: Slight walking distance from the metro and shopping street but for the price and size of room (larger than usual Japanese sizes), it is acceptable
Pros: It was conveniently located. The rooms are spacious, but it was no four-star. The bathrooms were kind of gross. It was not very upgraded or modern.
Pros: The hotel is located quite neighborhood which is still closed to restaurants, department stores, and izakaya. We only had limited times when we interacted with the staffs but they are friendly and respectful.
Cons: Distance from Sapporo station
Pros: wonderful breakfast, convenient place
Cons: I didn't catch the snow shuttle due to the wrong message given by the staff. the hotel has two gates, and the snow shuttle only parks and waits at the side door instead of the main gate. I asked the female staff at the main gate for more than two times and each time I was told to keep waiting inside the main gate. finally we missed the snow shuttle. and the reason why we chose this hotel is for the direct snow shuttle. at last, a Chinese staff gave a phone call to the bus company and told me that the snow shuttle had already gone.
Pros: The room is quite big
Cons: Everything is just normal
Pros: Very clean and super friendly staff
Pros: Next to Odori Park and close walk to Odori station (Sapporo Station not too far ~25mins walk).
Cons: Looks worse off than pictures show - carpet looks old, worn out, and dirty. Similar comment for the walls and bathroom.
Pros: The location was exactly what I asked for, I thought the ice sculptures from the snow festival were still on display from the week prior but they were just piles of snow. My fault for not doing more research. We walked everywhere and took the train to another town, easy to get too and if we needed a cab there was usually one waiting by the bell area. The staff was very friendly and helpful even with the language barrier they understood what we were asking. We ate at the breakfast buffet one day since we didn't pay extra for free breakfast. That was very good but we went late so we didn't get to eat that much but that was our fault for not checking when it ends.
Cons: The ONLY thing we noticed was the carpets in the hotel rooms were obviously stained, our room as well as others around. When they clean the rooms all the doors are open and we could see inside and noticed the carpets in there as well. It is vacuumed well just stains that are permanent. I would suggest updating the carpets.
Cons: Too much breakfast

Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, a computer station, and dry cleaning/laundry services. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: Near by subway station
Cons: There’s not onsen.
Pros: I was traveling with a group of friends that were staying in a different hotel and the location to their hotel was amazing. The food was tasty, staff was accommodating, the room was clean and comfortable, I would recommend and stay here again.
Cons: The staff could have been more fluent in English or the signs for the breakfast items should have included a better description of the food item and/or ingredients. I have a shellfish allergy and it was very difficult trying to relay this information due to the language barrier. By day 3, we were finally able to know which items contained shellfish. LOL.
Cons: Carpark have to pay
Pros: Housekeeping was wonderful. Room was clean and big with a sofa and 2 beds. Sofa can be transformed to a third bed. Unblocked view from the window from our corner room on level 14. Bed was comfortable. Pyjamas were provided and changed everyday. Would definitely book again whenever I visit Sapporo. It's near to a lot of restaurants and transport. And there's free bus service to Sapporo station. Didn't try the food in the hotel because there were so many options near by. There is a quaint bakery near by with yummy cakes and bakes, definitely have to try! Highly recommend Sapporo Excel Hotel Tokyu!!
Pros: Room size and view outside the window
Pros: Everything! The size of the room, the furnitures, the view and the staff
Cons: Location is a bit far from city center

Pros: Convenient, clean and close to train
Pros: The room was spacious, very spacious, and had everything we were looking for. Refrigerator, toiletries for personal use, great shower, multiple beds that fit three large guys just fine.
Cons: Not knowing they had a sky lounge to go hang out at. There was nothing I didn’t like.
Pros: The room was clean, comfortable, quiet and quite large with great views of Sapporo City. Great fun watching the snow falling from inside our warm room! Buffet breakfast was lovely and the Rooftop restaurant was great as was the Japanese Restaurant. Huge bonus having a convenience store attached to the hotel. Didn't have to go out into the snow to get supplies. Barely a 5 minute walk to the Station! Great hotel!
Cons: Nothing, all was good.

Pros: Location was fantastic. Staff were amazing and extremely helpful. FREE happy hour drinks was also a great added bonus.
Cons: The room was old and had scuff marks all over the walls. This was the only let down of our stay
Pros: The public baths on the top floor were amazing
Cons: Breakfast was ok, not to the same standard as the hotel itself
Pros: Location is very convenience.
Pros: Spacious room and nice staff. Free drink at the lounge for hotel guest. Public bath at roof top also added value to the hotel.
Pros: Bed was comfortable. Amenities were great. Great location. ( I was on the 16th floor or “Cross Floor” so room was larger and amenities generous.)
Pros: Very spacious room. Comfortable bed and great shower/bath. I was impressed by the little extras. The onsen on the top floor was fabulous. Breakfast had a huge variety of foods and the coffee was good. Staff were superb! Would definitely stay again.
Cons: No vegetarian options for dinner at the restaurant.
Pros: Great location, great buffet breakfast and very easy to navigate particularly as the ski rental is on premise, they also supply guests with lockers for your ski gear.... ski in ski out is extremely easy

A stay at JR Tower Hotel Nikko Sapporo places you in the heart of Sapporo, within a 15-minute walk of Sapporo JR Tower and Clock Tower. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: Feels like an oasis away from city center when you step inside, although located right at the stations. The views are great and the spa is a nice plus, especially in the winter. If you have an early flight or plan to do some intercity traveling, it’s the perfect location.
Pros: Great location and wonderful staff. Room size is adequate with beautiful view of the city but the bathroom is small. There are 2 breakfast areas with plenty to choose from but they are both always crowded and the waiting time for a table can be long.
Cons: For the rate the hotel charges, access to the spa and relaxation room should be included.
Pros: It was near the underground passageway. The staff were polite
Cons: The shower had a fishy smell the entire stay. The pillows were a bit small & not too soft.
Pros: Great breakfast.
Pros: The Onsen/bath house/spa was amazing for an inner city location! I covered tattoo's with sports tape and they were fine. Room was great and staff super helpful! Good location right on top of the station and no noise. Lovely hotel, would stay here again!
Cons: Not much, can't relly fauly thr place!
Pros: The staffs are excellent!! Very helpful and friendly as always. My partner have knee issue after ski and we got very helpful assistance from the staffs. The location is also excellent because the hotel located at JR station and adjacent to shopping malls. Breakfast choice is superb.
Cons: The room is quite small although I stayed for 2 types of room. The bigger one doesn’t really feel bigger, but that’s not a big deal. The thing that I quite didn’t enjoy this time is the smell from the pipe in the bathroom.
A stay at Sapporo Prince Hotel places you in the heart of Sapporo, within a 5-minute drive of Odori Park and Clock Tower. Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, a computer station, and complimentary newspapers in the lobby. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: Great hotel , easy to find ,great location , fantastic views from the sky lounge .
Pros: Staffs are very helpful
Cons: Charge to Use sauna,
Pros: Very clean n comfortable.
Cons: Onsen could be nicer.
Cons: We booked because of the blurb on the first page of booking.com where it does not say that the spa had a Y500/head charge. However it got worse as we went to the 28th floor bar where nowhere on booking.com or when we visited the bar were we alerted to the fact that there is a Y600/head charge - we only found out after our second visit - it cost us $95nzd for 2 drinks each and one small plate sandwiches. Then I called front desk for some coffee in our room and they told me the room was not entitled to coffee!! Never before in my extensive travel have I experienced this. I went to reception and they told me I could get one from the restaurant however when I got there the maitre d told me I couldn't have one, then the receptionist came over and told him to give me one!! Unbelievable! The hotel also put us in a room that had a building smack bang outside the window - have a look at the photos of the building and you expect views!
Pros: It was very nice and clean. The room was huge and perfect and the staff were extemely helpful and nice.
Pros: The room was quite large, especially for the price, and despite my limited Japanese, the staff was very helpful and gave me great recommendations for places to eat and how to get there!

Price is reasonable!!! This is the highlight of my Sapporo trip!!! Try both day & night to enjoy the difference view, their wine package is nice too!! Also I love the decorations of the hotel lobby, it’s really beautiful!!! The Spa is cost 1,000 yen and its worth, (the 2nd day will be 500 yen) At least 3 shopping malls in 50m away!!! I love Shin- Sapporo!!! Overall I love this hotel and satisfied:)
Cons: The service of the Check-in receptionist is not so nice and they don’t speak Eng (and not even trying to understand you). Also, the room is less pretty than the pictures.
Pros: The location. It was nearby amenities and facilities.
Pros: Very clean and very close to station
Pros: The hotel location was close to the train station . The room size is cozy for 2 person.
Cons: No gym facilities
With a stay at Sapporo Park Hotel, you'll be centrally located in Sapporo, steps from Nakajima Park and 14 minutes by foot from Sapporo Tanukikoji Shopping Street. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and multilingual staff. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: Overall nice room size. Room design is a bit dated. Most of the staff are very kind and welcoming. Even though their English were not that great, but I was able to communicate with them with my broken Japanese. The onsen nearby the hotel that were recommended by the staff, is very nice too. The location of the hotel is easily accessible from the subway stations, making it convenient to go around.
Cons: The bed mattress is the stiffest among all of the hotels that we stayed in Japan. The water bottles provided are not complimentary water bottles, unlike all the other hotels that we stayed at. And it was not labeled that it is not complimentary. It should be labeled, like how they labeled that the coffee is chargeable. And the lady (who can speak English fluently) who was serving us during our check-out, is pretty rude, unliked the other staffs who served us whom has been very kind and helpful, hence the drop down of the ratings, as it left an unpleasing and unwelcoming feeling. This is a good example of, a bad apple ruins the whole basket.
Pros: Location was just beside the train station, which is a very good thing. Kids also enjoyed the park which was full of snow during our stay. Hotel staff was considerate to send us a packed breakfast because we had to check out early.
Pros: Great location and very convenient to visit the Susukino and Odori sites of the Snow Festival.
Cons: Hotel restaurant closes early and the room is very small.
Pros: The location is perfect, it located directly next to the train station. The hotel staff are extremely nice and helpful. Great place to stay during the snow festival. I will definitely stay there again by my next visit to Sapporo
Pros: Good location and very helpful and friendly staff.
Cons: Rooms a bit tired but clean.
Pros: The location in a park is pretty, so is the proximity to downtown, subway and bar area. Also, the large parking area is useful when travelling with a car. The staff was friendly and helpful.
Cons: The hotel is from another era. The hotel technology is dated and the rooms are worn. Five stars do not relate to "state of the art" but still they create expectations which in this case were not fulfilled.
Pros: Superb value, great location
Pros: The moment you enter, you will exeprience a top notch service. The location is perfect, just a few steps to the subway. I love also that they have nespresso for you at the room.
Cons: There is nothing to dislike in this hotel. It's perfect.

Cons: - So Far to JR Sapporo.
Pros: The service and staff were friendly, room was large.
Cons: nothing as our stay was great
Cons: Outdated, photos didn’t not match the room we received.
Pros: Good location near to Odori park good food especially breakfast.
Cons: There’s no onsen.
Pros: Yes! The rooms was very hot! No aircon! The breakfast was amazing! Beds are comfortable and clean. But the hotel is very far from Airport and not so easily to take a train.
Cons: Rooms very hot
Pros: It was rather good for value at the time we went (starting from the last day of snow festival). Just about anything that you can expect from a good hotel, they provided. The bed were rather nice and comfy. I would say the view was good too, but there weren't really that many things to see :) They do provide complimentary bottles of water IF you ask for it too! Staff speaks English (if you need it!). Close walk to the snow festival event space, and is also rather quiet at night.
Cons: Rather than not like it, the location can be a bit far if you prefer walking instead of taking public transport. As it's on a different direction from Susukino, it is quite a bit of a walk (around 20 to 25 minutes..) to get to the happening areas. So if you do prefer staying in a more "convenient" place, I'd say that's something to consider about. It's still rather close to the public transport, so it's more of a personal preference :)

Pros: The room was clean, the location was good. The price was pretty good.
Pros: Very good service and clean environment.
Pros: Overall, this was a very nice stay. Reasonably-sized rooms for Japan, pleasant staff, and overall a good value. Being across the street from the Sapporo Factory mall with lots of good dining and shopping options makes up for the fact that it's not very close to downtown (plus there is literally ALWAYS a taxi immediately available). Breakfast, while not included, was still a good deal with their coupon.
Cons: It was farther from the city center than I would have liked, and I would have liked in-room coffee and not only green tea, but that is pretty minor. Our mini-fridge did not work but we managed.
Pros: The triple room was large and comfortable. We loved the bathroom.
Cons: It was a pretty long walk from the main part of Sapporo especially with luggage and in winter.
Pros: Lovely breakfast with local specialties

Pros: Staff are so helpful and on the spot to answer any questions or make suggestions on where to go in Sapporo.
Cons: Bad hotel. Aging infrastructure. Didn't let us check in till 3 in the afternoon. Had to roam around in bitter cold for the room to get ready.
Pros: Great location, lovely classic luxury hotel
Pros: Good location. Rooms were ok but felt like it could do with an upgrade.
Pros: Breakfast along with the service was perfect. Location and expert help from the concierge was of great benefit for our need. Organising for our bus travel to the Ski resort and overall courtesy was excellent.
Cons: Everything was great
Pros: It's located in the heart of Sapporo, it's easy to get around from the location. The room came included with nice robes and slippers. If you can book with the meals I would highly recommend it. There's three excellent brunch spots to choose from with 2 being buffets.
Cons: It was probably because I was staying during the Sapporo Snow Festival that it costs more than $300 a night but it was still too rich for my blood.
Pros: Good location that was walking distance to many tourist sites, restaurants, and transportation. It had several comprehensive breakfast buffets. Lots of bathroom samples and extras.
Cons: The room itself was clean but felt a bit outdated and worn, especially the bathroom, as did the hallway. Room seemed larger in photo.
Pros: Location is excellent, centrally located to most everything in Sapporo. Staff provided good service. There is luggage storage if you arrive before 15:00 (note that early check-in is not possible).
Cons: Mattress was too firm for me. Room smelled of cigarette smoke even though it was in a non-smoking floor.

A stay at Mitsui Garden Hotel Sapporo places you in the heart of Sapporo, within a 10-minute walk of Odori Park and Former Hokkaido Government Office Building. Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, dry cleaning/laundry services, and a 24-hour front desk. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: Clean rooms, good service.
Cons: Small room as expected for most Japanese hotels.
Pros: Good location, nice staff, clean and comfortable.
Pros: the location is near everything you need. Especially, it really near lawson and post office so I can drop my post card anytimg.
Cons: they didn't change the cloth every day. The other facilities they provide in the room is more than enough but the nightgown they usually change every day (from then I travel to their another hotel in Sendai)
Pros: Location is really convenient where Main station and shopping area is within 5-10 minutes walking distance, reasonable priced, comfortable mattress, decent amount of space comparing to hotels in Japan.
Cons: Pillows are not as solid and thick as other Mitsui Garden hotel I've been to. The Public bath could be really crowded at night.
Pros: Good location, nice staff, clean and comfortable
Pros: Great location, 5 minute walk from the main station not even!! Lovely staff. If you're looking for a place to camp for a few nights this is perfect and so accessible to the station.
Pros: Near Sapporo station

Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, a business center, and complimentary newspapers in the lobby. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: Typical Japanese rooms that's about 10 years past its prime, but still holding on nicely. Location is superb, great service, larger than average hotel, huge lobby. Overall a good choice.
Cons: Tired decor.
Pros: Friendly staff and professional service plus good location and breakfast.
Cons: Window frame was mouldy and edge of the basin is dirty.
Pros: This was an outstanding hotel. The food and bar were exceptional, the location near the Sapporo station was ideal, the room is quite large for a Japanese hotel, but most important, the people were spectacular. They were friendly and helpful. They went out of there way to make our stay special. I would stay there again in a minute.
Cons: An onsen would have been nice, but that is really minor. I guess the other thing would be to have to cover charge in the wine bar for guests, but with the drink coupons and entry coupon we never paid cover.
Pros: The location was great, lots of eateries nearby and being connected to the train station made getting around so much easier. Love the morning breakfast. I'd definitely stay here again.
Pros: very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was notable for its huge selection and variety, excellent. Just over road from train station which houses large mall and plenty restaurants for dinner
Cons: economy room is very small. Upgrade if you want to be able to stretch your arms out. The corner room much nicer
