Pros: Probably the safest location in Sao Paulo, staff at reception desk really helpful (with at least one person speaking passable English at all times), facilities generally good. However, nothing beyond what you should expect from a 4-star hotel.
Cons: Apart from dreadful Wi-Fi and an unacceptable level of cleanliness, a number of staff (especially in the hotel restaurant) consistently tried to scam me to pay more money than I should. Be wary of having to pay extra fees unique to foreigners, as well as not-so-optional 'optional' fees. Also, in the suites, you are provided a kitchenette, but you are not able to use it. Hotel would likely not have been 4-stars if in Europe.
2 minute walk from subway at Trianon Masp and Paulista Avenue. Near shopping malls and food courts.
Room suite was a bit dated.
Good room size, great bathroom, well equipped with a bathtub, kitchenette available in case you want to cook
Not many outlets to connect electronic devices, the wifi was a bit slow, kitchenette available but only glasses available for usage, no silverware, pots or dishes
Great location, close to shops and the main Avenue. It was a difficult time for me with the death of my mother, but the staff was very gracious and accommodating. Really enjoyed having the balcony and the view from the 19th floor.
Location just behind the MASP (the famous Art Gallery) and Paulista Avenue. Breakfast is varied and rich. The bathtub is very interesting: wide circular with hot water 24hrs. I enjoyed showering in it after a long tiring day.
The pics show a Kitchenette within the suite, and that's why I chose to stay here so I can cook my meals. I was very disappointed to find out that the kitchenette is empty, with no plates, spoons, folks, cooking pans, etc........Another issue the WIFI signal is very very week in the room, so had to go down to lobby for proper connection and also had to buy a brazilian sim card to have 3G in my room. Such a prestigious old hotel, in such area of SP, should have better WiFi connection. I had to Leave after 6 nights and stayed in a good hotel downtown - half price and much much better internet service.
