Santiago Hostels

Pros: Good breakfast, has a nice social vibe. I made good friends there.

Cons: I saw one of the girls in the receptions stolen things from pockets in the lost-and-found basket. She also did stole a hairbrush from the guy who was volunteering there, and then the guy was looking for it and she said that she didn`t knew anything about it. AND I SAW IT, AND I COULD DO ANYTHING BECAUSE I HAD NO PROOF BESIDES MY OWN EYES. Her name is Lena I guess.

Pros: If you want to feel like in your home , you have to stay here!!! This hostel is very nice, staffs is helpful! Rooms are big , bed comfortable, close to underground, terminal bus and city center! What else? You can meet Santa Claus :-) the lovely owner!

Cons: Extra charge for luggage of 1000 clp a day even for short absences is not usual for Hostels. Almost no english Staff.

Pros: Princesa Insolante is located 20min walking distance from historical centre and presidential palace. There are 2 metro stations nearby. The staff were friendly and helpful. Hostel was well decorated with a lot of seating areas, a outside yard, a tv area, kitchen shared with staff. The bedroom was pleasant and furniture felt new-ish. BUT the curtains were inadequate. There were also windows to the hallway which had no curtains at all even though there were bright lights on all night. All in all one of the best hostels we've stayed in Wifi wasn't very strong

Cons: nothing - maybe wif could be stronger

Pros: The bed was super comfy and the shower was great. Breakfast was nice and all the staff were very helpful. The hostel is very funky and colourful, with lots of awesome artworks. There are lots of restaurants nearby and the streets are fun to explore during the day - lots of street art.

Cons: The power in our room and the room next door cut out a few times at night time, however, the staff fixed it quite easily. It was just annoying having to get out of bed to go downstairs and tell them.

Pros: Great vibes, everything was bright and colorful. Luggage storage was free and I could use my personal lock.

Cons: The WiFi range was very poor and I did not have connection in my room at the end of the hall.

Pros: Just there for one night waiting for my flight. The hostel is spacious with lots of communal areas. Nice room for the price paid for Santiago standard (I've spent time IN Santiago previously). Friendly staff who called an Uber for me.

Cons: My room's window opens up to the reception/communal area which could be a little noisy.

Pros: The staff and location. They checked us in very early, which was amazing.

Cons: The bathrooms were a bit unclean.

Pros: It's a house in a block, 4 metro station to the central, staff is good, just one toilet. You can use canned gas to cook food and heat water. Sometimes the gas will use up.

Pros: Hostel friendly really earns its Name! Lost my Ring there and He sent it to my next Station of my travel, great!

Pros: Big clean room, breakfast is self made you just get the ingredience...

Cons: Water in shower is terrible - or crazy hot or very cold, you have to fight with it all the time. Location is okay, but you have to take metro.

Pros: Comfy matress, Friendly staff.

Cons: We struggled tu properly use the key to enter the property. Always had to ask for help.

Pros: close to metro station nuble we arrived later and the guy waited for us

Cons: When you get the hostel you need to manage to get inside,breakfast is no good and not clean.reception guy is good but no speak English,you can struggle with that.i will never stay again

Pros: This hostel is like home. Julian is very kind, nice and welcoming person. Rooms are comfort. Heaters and towels are provided. Kitchen and bathroom is good and clean. Breakfast is enough. Small garden is good for chilling or smoking. Metro station is walking distance. Everything was good in this hostel.

Pros: Close to metro, decent breakfast

Cons: The lock on our door never worked, the door was warped and we had to use our own padlock. Informed staff but they never fixed the issue in the 3 nights we were there. Significant construction (entire kitchen was refurbished) started outside our room without any prior notice, preventing kitchen usage when we returned at 8PM and blocking access to our room. Work finished after 10PM and the corridor to our room was covered in dust. We had to ask to change to room, losing the en suite in the process. The room should never have been rented as most other rooms in the property were not affected. The most disappointing aspect was how uninterested management were. We emailed them around 8pm to ask when the construction would finish and they responded by printing out a notice saying please excuse the construction. We were offered an 8 dollar reduction in our stay when we asked to move to another room.
