Pros (+) Location was in great proximity to downtown and the boardwalk.
Cons (-) Mattresses are very uncomfortable. It was like sleeping on a board. The water pressure in the shower was terrible. When my wife rinsed her hair, she said the rest of her body wasn’t getting wet.

Pros (+) A few blocks from Downtown Santa Cruz and all the restaurants I wanted. Even an easy 20 min walk to the boardwalk and wharf. I didn't want a beach front hotel as I wanted to also spend some time in downtown. This was a near perfect location for me. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Cons (-) It was clean, but a little worn.

Pros (+) The sana was my favorite part. The room was clean. The young lady who checked us in was very sweet.
Cons (-) When we arrived they informed us that all the fireplaces in the rooms don't work since they aren't up to code. That was a little upsetting. Then I took the elevator up to my room and noticed the inspection permit was expired. They need to work on spending money where they need it instead of making a massive pot of eggs and 500 strips of bacon every morning
