Pros: Great location in heart of town yet was very quiet. Great staff, small pool to relax.
Cons: Standard rooms a bit small but very comfortable
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The staff is very friendly and helpful for any kind of need. The room is comfortable and nice. Breakfast with a great choice of fresh and handmade products. All in all, thanks to the attention to any needs of the guests, the feeling of our stay was better than in many 5 stars hotels.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Good location!
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Staff was great. Beds are confortable and great location
Cons: It was a bit pricy
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Great location in San Pedro de Atacama. Spacious rooms, comfortable beds. The hotel is like an oasis in the middle of the desert. The staff is very helpful when it comes to booking airport transfer and excursions and helping out with a very early breakfast when we had a very early excursion. Highly recommend it !
9,2 Excellent
Pros: This hotel reflects local artesanal skills in both construction and decor. The staff are eager to please and the free afternoon teas, wine tasting and occasional local music are nice touches. All speak good English and for us with little or no Spanish this made life easy.
Cons: The curtains let in too much light and the rooms could benefit from black-out curtains for those guests whom are light sensitive.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The Staff was super friendly. The room was comfortable and very clean.
Cons: We liked it all
7,9 Good
Pros: Nice breakfast. Liked the homemade items. Pleasant patio area.
Cons: Not enough lighting at night between reception and the rooms. Very thin walls between rooms. Getting lost between reception and the room for the first two days!
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Great localization (walking distance from best restaurants in town), great breakfast, charming decoration, comfortable rooms, a pool and a library. One of the greatest hotel staff I´ve ever known, super friendly, helpful and communicative (specially Magaly, Melissa and Pablo), that makes the vibe of the hotel super relaxed and warm. Every afternoon it´s tea time, with a lot of options of local herbs. Also from 7-9p.m. they serve cheese and wine to the guests, a fantastic initiative. You can chat with people from all over the world about travel experiences and whatever comes to mind, creating something like a hostel experience in a more fancy hotel. We really felt at home at Terrantai, it was super hard to leave. Thanks!
Alto Atacama Desert Lodge & Spa - San Pedro de Atacama - Building

9,3 Excellent (165 reviews)
R19 791+
Overview Reviews
The luxurious Alto Atacama is blessed with a most spectacular and private location, tucked away in a valley of serene beauty, in the shadow of the Pukar de Quitor ruins and with the San Pedro River winding its way discreetly alongside. The perfect base for exploring the desert, cultural encounters, or simply absorbing the breathtaking landscape.Guests can choose from a unique range of cultural and active excursions, or perhaps pamper themselves in our magnificent pool and spa area. Our Chef combines classic Mediterranean and Chilean recipes with a dash of native flavor to create an original range of culinary delights. The Atacama Desert is a land of unique diversity. It is an eerie lunar landscape in places, cool, lush river canyons in others. In some parts rain has not touched this parched land for the past three hundred years while summer can bring rainstorms in the surrounding mountains. It can be vast empty stretches of rock, salt, and sand, and an explosion of life at the same time. Alto Atacamas 32 rooms are spacious, comfortable, and conducive to a good nights sleep after an action-packed day. The decoration is rustic yet elegant, with local crafts adding warmth and character. Each room has a private terrace; the perfect spot to absorb the colors and silence of the valley. Our superb outdoor pool area includes six private and individual pools, a whirlpool bath, and a bar. Alto Atacama is a stunning work of architecture. Its seamless incorporation into the valley was achieved thanks to the architects recognition that set against a backdrop of such unique topography, breathtaking natural beauty, and rich cultural heritage, a building must be humble and pay homage to its surroundings. Atacama is blessed with the worlds clearest skies, and Alto Atacamas unique location away from the hustle and bustle and bright lights of the village of San Pedro means there is zero light pollution, providing the most incredible setting for an evenings stargazing. We invite you to come and experience one of the most pristine and fascinating places on Earth.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: I liked everything about the Lodge: friendly, helpful staff, great hospitality, beautiful surroundings and my room/suite was excellent. Great food choice and a wide variety of excursions on offer. All my needs and wants were catered for, and I felt looked after as soon as I had left the airport's arrivals halls to the end of my stay and return to the airport for my departure flight. It was an ultimate and amazing trip and destination for me - a most memorable and enjoyable one.
Cons: That my stay was so brief ( three nights) meant that I was not able to enjoy the facilities or my room/suite to its maximum, because I was taking advantage of as many day excursions as possible. The lighting in the room was a bit low for my liking, but their reason for this was to let your eyes relax from the desert's harsh sunlight, which made a lot of sense and consideration.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The staff is amazing, all very friendly, helpful and attentive. The included tours are really great, with excellent guides and very exclusive, with few people. The facilities of the hotel are very good, with a pleasent atmosphere. It was a great experience and I recommend for sure.
Cons: The gastronomy could be better: The breakfast is not bad at all, but is not as great as I would expect and the menu of the restaurant is not very diversified.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was absolutely perfect. The room was very spacious and comfortable, the pools are really good, the restaurant is fine, there are many areas for relaxing and enjoying the stay and it's all decorated with such good taste. But, mostly, I've never seen a better staff in a hotel. Some of the best people I've ever met work at Alto Atacama. Truly. I wish I could mention the name of everyone here, but I'd certainly forget somebody, so it wouldn't be fair. You're the best. The guides were brilliant (gracias, David, Esteban, Michael, Fernandinho, Dayane and Arturo). They were fun, nice, caring and really knowledgeable. More than seeing those amazing out-of-this-world landscapes, each excursion was like a lesson in botany, geology, history, biology, astronomy, local culture and general science. It's really impressive how much information the guides have. If you pay attention to them, it can make your experience in Atacama be even richer. Thanks everyone. I look forward to coming back.
Cons: There was nothing I didn't love about this hotel.
9,7 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic food and service. Friendly staff. Everything included.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely stay at Alto. The hotel is stunning. Very comfortable and brilliantly located right in the heart of the desert. The excursions were great and our guides fantastic. We were amazed at how varied the landscape is and how much there is to see and do. Very friendly staff too. Would hugely recommend. A very memorable stay.
Cons: The food in the restaurant is good but the choices don't change. Got a bit boring eating the same food.
Explora Atacama - San Pedro de Atacama - Bedroom

9,1 Excellent (222 reviews)
R17 974+
Overview Reviews
Situated in San Pedro de Atacama, this luxury property is within a 15-minute walk of Plaza de San Pedro de Atacama, San Pedro Church, and Meteorite Museum. R.P. Gustavo Le Paige Archaeological Museum and Pukara de Quitor Archaeological Site are also within 3 mi (5 km).
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Great rooms, awesome staff (cleaning, guides, restaurant, bar). They have many expedition, all types.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Great location, beautiful and elegant hotel, where you can feel the beauty of the desert. The activities organised by the hotel are outstanding and they take great care to details, very friendly and helpful people in general, Max is a particularly caring manager and he is always paying attention to your requests and wellbeing. Food is good
Cons: The head of excursions, Consuelo, is a clear downside to this place, she is always patronising clients and is quite unfriendly and arrogant. The fact that they accepted a large group of noisy people that where invading the common areas talking on free hands phone and dressing swimming suits at dining in complete freedom, changed completely the ambiance of the place. With such prices the hotel should prevent this
8,8 Excellent
Pros: All is good, service and guides even great... but for the level of expense the personalisation of the experience isn't quite there. Despite the efforts to accomodate everyone's needs they still try to maximise groups and so you don't always get the excursion you'd like the day you want it. I'll definitely go back to Atacama, just not sure if to Explora, there are other options which are equally high level and offer a more personal experience.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: From the moment we arrived at Calama airport all our needs were met for the next 5 days.To reach the best sites to see in the area takes lots of planning and time and this was arranged each day with consultations with guides. All staff went out of their way to help and clearly loved their jobs and loved Chile!I had an upset stomach one morning maybe caused by the altitude and staff made an infusion for me which did help. The meals were all excellent and wine choices good.
Cons: Beer choices very limited- IPA or Lager only( minor criticism). We knew that wi fi would not be available in our rooms but it was still a little annoying to only have it in common area. When family are on the other side of the world they are usually only contactable at odd hours in the night.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Excellent service, very attentive staff. Nothing was too much for them. The guides were very well trained, helpful and friendly and were well prepared for our many questions on flora, fauna, geology and many other subjects. The food was much better than we had expected and the restaurant staff very good.
Cons: the room was very comfortable but the bathroom was a bit dated. It could be modernised.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Their amazing service. We asked and they delivered.

Pros: Clean. Good price. Friendly helpful staff
Cons: It was a little farther than expected
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The staff where so nice even though we didn’t speak much Spanish. They where very helpful and accommodating. Would definitely stay here again. Breakfast was nice, kitchen facilities are very very good. The place is super clean. The roof terrace was beautiful and had an amazing landscape view.
Cons: Sometimes the shower was cold but that only happened once.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Shower was really nice and the bed was comfortable
Cons: The wifi didn't work at my room because the biggest rooms are in the other side of the street
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Good location, clean, comfortable and good value. Friendly staff.
Cons: We were in the rooms on the other side of the street so no WiFi there.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The room and the rest of the facilities were very clean and neat. The inn keeper was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was good typical of more expensive hotels in Chile. We were even given a "to go" breakfast when we had to leave early for a tour.
Cons: The room we had was not air conditioned, and that was probably noted in the write up bu I did not see it. The room was warm when the sun was up cooled down during the night.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent service, good food adorable people working there. Totally recommended
9,6 Excellent
Pros: I don’t have one single complaint about this Hostal, we absolutely loved it! The staff and facility are great. I travelled with a friend(female) and felt completely safe. Please be advised that when visiting San Pedro, excursions are very early in the morning (4:30am-6:30am) and in regards to the evening ones, you may be returning late (after 9:00-11:00). For this reason, I simply loved the fact that they have a side door so that other guests are not disturbed and gives you the freedom to leave/return early or late. If you’re looking to book excursions, they use a very good company but we decided to go into town to explore all of our options. This hostal is about a 10-15 minute walk from town, but we didn’t mind. This hostal offers transfers from and to the airport ($20000.00 pesos/pp) you pay when you arrive at the airport. I highly recommend having the hostal do your booking, as it is the same price you would pay at the airport when choosing any other company and you may have to wait until they can find you a spot in a transfer. There is no extra charge from the Hostal for the booking, simply provide your flight information and you are good to go! We arrived earlier than the check-in time but they received us at the Hostal and gave us our room right away(subject to availability, of course.) We booked a double room, it is small but very accommodating and enough for the both of us since we spent our days out exploring. Yes, the room was warm during the chilly nights. The washroom is right across the room; very clean and completely functional (hot shower, toilet paper, liquid soap and toilet flushed very well). They maintained this washroom spotless and odourless. There is a pool table, communal kitchen, outdoor dining area and a terrace that has a view of the mountains! The staff is amazing!!!! They took care of every single need we had. YES, I would stay here again. Muchas gracias chicos! Karla
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Staff were fantastic, I had no Spanish and they little English but we worked it out easily. It was as advertised and good for the price payed
Cons: Nik
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The super friendly staff, that they had touristic information and the cleanliness of the place
Cons: Breakfast was not bad but I think could be better and and the location was some blocks from the Main Street - great if you want to be away from the noise but it was necessary the walk since everything is in that street.
7,9 Good
Pros: Good location, the room was big and clean, the staff is super friendly and helpful.
Cons: Breakfast is really basic, not too much to eat. Room doesn‘t get warm enough in winter and we didn‘t have hot shower for 2 days. The wifi connection is not very good.

Pros: Very friendly cats in the property
Cons: the place have some problems that u only start caring after the owners starts acting stupid
7,5 Good
Pros: nice people good location clean good mattress outdoor sitting area
Cons: weak breakfast, but that appears to be standard for the area very little closet space, no table. Most of our stuff was stored on the floor Expensive for what you get.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Property is located perfectly right at the beginning of the main street in town. Check in was smooth and quick. Wifi working well.
7,9 Good
Pros: Very friendly staff
Cons: Slow internet. Room basic for the price
5,4 Okay
Pros: Great location. Nice spacious internal yard.
Cons: Seems very overpriced at ~60,000 CLP/night. Rooms are rather basic, but have individual bathrooms. Wifi quality is poor. Breakfast is basic/low-end, no fresh fruit, instant coffee. One needs to hunt around to find staff when help is needed.
5,0 Okay
Pros: Very nice attention from the owners. Close to the center and pedestrian street of San Pedro. Own parking for guest.
Cons: Nice looking place, from a distance. But for around 100USD a night I would expect more quality even in San Pedro. Like a proper blanket, not a years old ugly feeling one, doors which close properly and do not move in the wind or let every whispered word on the veranda from the neigbours get into your room, a breakfast which is more than one tasteless typical cheese, on type of ham, pieces of omelette, two of the sweetest artificial juices and Nescafe.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Good location
Cons: Nothing

Pros: Great people, great location, and a good breakfast

8,8 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable hotel and right round from the main street (but far enough to be quiet). Room was simple but comfy - don't expect power showers in the desert!
Cons: Breakfast was fine - staff v helpful in offering lunch boxes if you are out too early for breakfast but the day I had breakfast there I was a little disappointed.
7,5 Good
Pros: location
Cons: breakfast is served too late in the morning; while people leave for trips and activities much earlier. Hotel propose a "lunch box" ... which contain a really bad looking orange (that I will never peel while in outdoor activities), an OK energy bar, a juice ... but this does not really replace a breakfast. So I paid for 2 nights including breakfast ... but could have breakfast. Yet ... hotel prices in San Pedro are quite expensive compared to the value they give.
6,3 Good
Pros: Staff was friendly and extremely accommodating. This made a positive difference in our stay!
Cons: Cleanliness of room (duvet cover dirty, filthy behind beds), facilities and room in poor shape (room door had too many cracks, toilet seat broken, towel rack broken). Lack of of room amenities.
7,9 Good
Pros: good localization, very very polite staff at reception,
Cons: NO WI-FI AT ROOM !!!!!!
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The service was spectacular. The staff really went above and beyond to make us comfortable.
Cons: Really the only thing that wasn’t great was the mattress. My partner found it difficult to sleep.
7,9 Good
Pros: Soraya from the kitchen was a huge help and extremely friendly!
Cons: The breakfast selection was just okay. There was no fresh juice.
7,1 Good
Pros: Staff was great!! Super friendly and helpful!!
Cons: Room was very cold at this time of year. Plenty of blankets were provided but the heater did practically no good. The WiFi signal was non existent in our room. I suppose the quaint abode structure didn’t help. It was good in the lobby though.
5,4 Okay
Cons: since the Booking System did not works well, the hotel was not able to prepare our arriving and we had to wait at the lobby during the preparation.
7,1 Good
Pros: It was a short but pleasant stay. The family room is spacious and comfortable. Breakfast is quite messy but nice.
Cons: Staff should be a little more knowledgable and proactive.
3,8 Mediocre
Pros: The location.
Cons: The room for three people was more like a cell than a room in the hotel. It didn't have a window like you would expect a room would have. It had very small vent window close to the ceiling instead. The room was very outdated and old, everything looked like it was from the garage sale. Three nights and at least one day we had no water. Three nights in the row we had to chase very unresponsive hotel stuff to fix the water problem. Once we left hotel not being able to brush our teeth in the room. We received no apology from the hotel. We have negotiated some refound to compensate the inconveniences, but haven:t received anything. The owner didn't respond when we tried to reach her. The breakfast was very poor. The only things available for breakfast were one type of salami, one type of ham and one type of cheese, everything was served on the same plate. In addition to the ham, salami and cheese it had two types of cereal, bread and jam plus they prepared eggs, that was it.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very close to the main road. Nice and clean little swimming pool. Shadowing trees. Exceptionally kind and efficient staff. Top level guides for excursions. Top choice for San Pedro de atacama
7,9 Good
Pros: In this desert environment, you need to adjust your expectations for everything. All the streets are dirt, so there's going to be a lot of dust all over you, and you bring it into the room. So have a rough and ready attitude, and everything seems pretty good. Rooms were bungalo style, tightly grouped, very fun to turn the corners. Staff helped with recommendations and reservations.
Cons: Temperature goes way down at night. The hotel thinks you are going to get cold so fires up a gas heater and loads on the covers. But that was all wrong for us and we asked them to not light the fire, and we had to put the comforters in a massive pile off the bed.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Overall it was a good experience
Cons: They have mistaken our hotel bill with someone else's at the checkout.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The adobe style rooms were very cool. It was private and clean. The staff were very nice.
Cons: San Pedro de atacama is a weird place. I wouldn’t stay in it again. It’s too touristy and crowded and over priced. I’d look for a location just outside town.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast Buffet complete and very good. Location great

7,1 Good
Pros: Offers cheap transfers to the airport, short walking distance to the city, owner was very helpful on some points.
Cons: Organisation was chaotic and questionable. Our room was double booked so that we had to go to a worse room the first day (was not clean compared to the room we reserved and moved to the next day, with hair from previous guests being on the bed) . Also, our room was prepaid but the owner didn't take a note, we had to prove it with a credit card statement. Lastly, we don't like being fooled - the confirmation says toiletries available but the owner said they are still in Santiago? Service means I go to the next supermarket and buy what I promise.
4,2 Okay
Pros: Location, private parking and breakfast
Cons: We visited a few places in the area and this one was the most modest. The price/quality ratio is not worth it. There are more unique and better accommodation facilities in the area. We did not even bother to take pictures as not to have ugly photos among the others. Stinky towels, old, dilapidated facility. Two rooms sharing a bathroom and the property owner kept the other room unlocked, unless to say our room couldn’t be locked, only the whole unit. The main gate was closed and it seemed there must be another entrance to the premises. The only good point was breakfast that improved the score.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Close to the centre of town but far enough removed to be quiet. Friendly and helpful owners.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Great location, a short distance from the busy main street with restaurants, far enough to be quiet. Simple facilities and good breakfast - just perfect. Very friendly and helpful staff.
7,5 Good
Pros: Quinta Adela has the appearance of once being quite nice but now let go somewhat. However the owner was laid back and helpful when required. The room and outside areas were very spacious and the orchard with hammock to relax in were nice. The only real complaint was the inferior quality of the food items offered for breakfast, cheap quality with only Nescafé (yuck,).No service from staff at all. Fortunately most tours start early in the am and we were able to enjoy very pleasant breakfasts while on the tours themselves. If you want a good breakfast or coffee break go to Franchuteria cafe where the coffee is real and the French croissants are delicious!
Cons: Dreadful breakfast of cheap, inferior food and no service from staff.
7,9 Good
Pros: Very friendly owner and helpful.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great place to stay in San Pedro! It is very comfortable and the best part are the owners, super helpful and nice :) thank you for everything
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Excellent value for money. The manager Jose Miguel is extremely friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: A great place to stay in San Pedro. The owner is lovely - he helped us arrange tours for the next day when we arrived in the evening, allowed us to do late check out as the room wasn't booked the next day, and even gave us a lift to the bus station. It's also a comfortable place to stay, including a good heater which is important as it gets cold in the desert at night.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Quite location, great shower!
Cons: The bread was a bit dry, fresh bread always arrived after we had our breakfast.... No big deal though

8,8 Excellent
Pros: The bed was very comfortable, and the staff were lovely. The grounds were attractive.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: I hope you get to meet Francisca at this incredible hotel- she was the absolute best person we’ve had the luck to meet in our travels- EVER! She was so proactive- helpful, fun, patient and welcoming- and saved us through the disaster of a flat tyre on our rental and some shocking altitude sickness after climbing Volcano Lasca! Not to mention she was very patient with my horrible broken Spanish attempts, lucky her English was perfect! Which we learned is not hugely common in Chile, lucky I had at least some basic Spanish! This hotel is just fantastic- the people, the rooms, the pool, the location, the food (breakfast and dinner were amazing!!), the advice and the hospitality- nothing was too much and everything was made to be so easy for us, in such a beautifully maintained space. I would seriously recommend for anyone looking to have a beautiful and luxurious home base while they explore the atacama desert to stay here, no where else!! It is definitely worth the money, and we didn’t want to leave :) You are in the perfect spot just on the edge of town, where you can easily walk to restaurants and the shops but also have peace and quiet to enjoy! Ask for Francisca and say hi for us :D
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel was gorgeous and very tasteful. An oasis in the desert. Highly recommended.
8,5 Excellent
Cons: The walk from town at night has no street lights for part of the way.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Good breakfast. Peaceful location, with expansive grounds. Rooms were large and comfortable. Staff were very helpful, helped with restaurant bookings and airport transfers etc. A short walk into the town centre.
Cons: The bar area isn't particularly inviting, and often went un-staffed. The landscaping isn't finished - and workmen were on site throughout. The pool was inexplicably closed, despite it being above 30degrees.

Pros: Nice large rooms, friendly staff and well organized daily trips
Cons: - wifi connection very bad - too expensive - swimmingpool has nothing to do with the pictures on the Internet
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Very nice and helpful staff. Breakfast was average, but one has to remember that Atacama is a desert city. The hotel is nicely located and rooms are spacious and quiet. Ask for extra heating if you feel cold at night and you will get it.
5,4 Okay
Pros: The rooms were very nice including a large shower and bathroom area
Cons: The pool area facilities were not at all as expected from the pictures on the website. The pool is very small with cracks in the bottom and was often full of bugs. We found setting up the excursions was also difficult and please note that they really only offer the private tours as they’ll tell you there aren’t enough people interested to have a group tour.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The staff how polite they were
Cons: Nothing
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Very clean, not super central but close enough to the Main Street. Staff very friendly and nice, giving good suggestions and willing to help always. Rooms clean
Cons: We went in full winter (end of July) and the bedroom was quite cold during the day with the heaters off (even if we went out for excursions every day so we did not really feel it, it would have been nice to have a warmer room).
6,3 Good
Pros: Location is good.
Cons: Servicie was poor for a Hotel that aspire for this category. Breakfast was particularly bad. Grounds poorly kept. Music clearly chosen by the staff and completely inadequate for the ambiance of the Hotel. To sum up: full of good intentions but few deeds....
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Staff friendly, welcoming and helpful. They brought me a cake and candles at breakfast on my birthday! Facilities were good, I had a lovely massage. The tour organiser, Cristobal, was excellent in sorting out our trips. We liked having a tea and coffee station available all the time. Very close to the Main Street. It had a very nice feel about it.
Cons: There was nothing we didn’t like.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Very good property design and construction, good location, professional and very friendly staff, nice facilities and good room furniture and amnesties.
Cons: We like everything

Pros: The rabbit was nice. The location was ok.
Cons: The facilities weren’t very good. The rules about food storage were very strict. There was rarely warm water for showers. The male toilets were partially flooded due to a dripping water tank that dripped on you when using the toilet.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: We stayed 9 days at EcoExplor. The hostal is very clean, Victor, the manager is very helpful. In organizing the trip to Uyuni he is very reliable. Maria is the good soul of the place and provides laundry. Very recomendable place.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The staff very helpful & friendly, they offer tours, free tea, cozy environment, rabbit and a dog maKing you the company
Cons: Sometimes not hot water, bad wifi
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Wilson was wonderful, really helpful with advice about the area. The idea of having a WhatsApp group to communicate with guests is a really good one. I liked that you can book tours directly through the hostel, that really took the stress out of negotiating the agencies in town.
Cons: Nothing, was all good.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: We stayed here for 4 nights. Very clean and relaxed place. The beds were very comfortable and surprisingly spacious. Also a great outdoor area with areas shaded from wind and sun.
Cons: Shower temperature and pressure was hit and miss.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great outdoor communal area, well equipped kitchen, super friendly/helpful staff and the cutest rabbit. Location was a 10 minute walk from town but this meant that it was peaceful in the evenings and super convenient for the bus station.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: A friendly, clean and very calm place to stay. Highly recommended!
8,8 Excellent
Pros: There are hot shower all Day and there is hair dryer, the environment is always clean. And it is a really homy hostel. The room is warm
7,1 Good
Pros: -Staff as very helpful and friendly - good location - really comfy beds!!
Cons: -firstly sooooo many rules, it’s the first thing you get smacked in the face with when you check in - the weird reception times but even during those times there was no one there -female shower dribbles boiling water or freezing, no in between. And tried to use the other communal shower and it’s only cold water. -I handed in laundry a couple days ago and the guy only started washing them at 10pm the night before I was leaving for 7am the next day, and that was only after I put a note on his door! I woke up and had to get my wet laundry that was just thrown together on a rack.

Pros: Wonderfull place, in the middle of the country side... :-)
7,1 Good
Pros: Staff is helpful and dedicated
Cons: No heating at night in the rooms Location is far from the village
2,9 Mediocre
Pros: Well there is a lot to say about this hotel. Mainly negative. Please avoid and find something more worth the stay.
Cons: Extremely poor breakfast. After having paid 500 dollars for three nights I at least expect a normal cup of coffee for breakfast instead of instant coffee I had to make myself. The breakfast is poor, the rooms are outdated, WiFi sucks, and the receptionist answer to my complaint is the location. They import bread from another city?? You can't bake your own bread??? Dude, that is only a bad excuse. I have stayed at great hotels in San Pedro and far more isolated locations with excellent rooms, WiFi, and breakfast such as Riksgränsen, Nordkaap, Islands off of Indonesia, Nepal, Serengethi. If the manager would want to create a good environment it would be possible but now it is extremely poor performance. By the way, please take down the sign that says 20% discount on wines....really stupid and in relation to what? And by the way if you order breakfast to take with you on a trip they give a small juice package, one apple, and a granola bar. WTF???? Not even a yoghurt or a sandwich. AFTER 500$ THAT IS ABSURD!!!! I love Chile but this hotel needs to live up to 2018 standards. Location is a BAD excuse for poor performance! CHANGE MANAGEMENT!
4,6 Okay
Pros: The size of the room, the friendly staff
Cons: NO AIR CONDITIONING, NO WIFI (weak signal in common area), NO CELLULAR signal,NO TV, LONG WALK TO CENTER. The breakfast was very basic, walked to center to find food.
4,6 Okay
Cons: Clean place but too long away from the town and on a dusty non illuminated and bumpy road
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The staff were really helpful and friendly. We loved the hotel's location, some 15 minutes out of town and a short walk from the really interesting Pukar de Quitor ruins (but then again, we were always in a group - not sure how comfortable a woman walking on her own would be late at night; although there are plenty of other people, there are no street lights on the road.)
Cons: The wifi is not very good, and only works at reception and in the dining room - if you urgently need to go online, it can be quite testing. There is no air conditioning, but we asked for fans, which were promptly delivered.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The people who work here are so kind, welcoming, accommodating and pleasant. They really made our stay here perfect! We are a large family and had many food restricciones and brought along lot’s of our own products and they were so helpful with everything. They were also very understanding about us hanging around using the wifi and bathrooms before check in time and long after check out time because they understood that the flights dont match the hotels in/out options.
Cons: It would be great if the hotel had a water filter machine or bottled water dispenser free in the main lobby or dining room so we wouldn’t need to buy so much bottled water from them at 3.000clp a bottle. But I also understand that they need to make money somewhere...
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Stafff service. You will feel like home
Cons: Price was bit high
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Clean and spacious room, amazing view of Licancabur from the pool
Cons: Almost no shadow on the territory and very slow wi-fi working only at the reception
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Staff kindness and availability

7,9 Good
Pros: Good location, pool was clean. Friendly and helpful staff.
Cons: Extremely noisy as our room was next to the road, too hot when you closed the window due to the noise and then mosquitos and flies would come into the room if you did open the window, needs a fan in the rooms for the hotter months.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Great value for money. Large facilities, must be even better in the summer when all can be used. 2 pools with sunbeds. Cabins have heating! Helpful staff. Great location right at the edge of the centre.
Cons: Some details in the rooms could do with a bit of attention. The entry 'hall''s furniture is a bit odd and there was no door/blind to this hall, would be better for heating and getting it dark. Large pool greenish water, small one blue. Wifi as in most places does not reach the cabins.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Staff were lovely. Location excellent. Breakfast great. Pool fantastic. Place is massive. Ate a pomegranate from a tree in the garden! I was in one of the cheaper ensuite rooms but was adequate for my needs. In fact, compared to the rest of my trip, this was luxury!
Cons: No hot water in sink in bathroom. Towel rail kept in falling down. At times WiFi did not work in the room.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location Quite Clean Clase to restaurantes, agency, good breakfast Pool Maybe the should work on a better wifi
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable, clean and well furnished room and a lovely pool area to relax in. Guests are able to use the facilities after checking out while waiting for onward travel arrangements. Great location for the main tourist attractions.
7,1 Good
Pros: the location they provide lunch box because we leave early morning can not have breakfast
Cons: the room is extremely small and basic the price should be cheaper
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Charming room, great breakfast provided, nice staff, great location.
Cons: The room was not sufficiently heated (we were there in the Chilean winter) and there was not an adequate supply of hot water for showers.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Location great
Cons: Nothing at all
6,3 Good
Pros: Location, efficient housekeeping, decent breakfast and cordial staff.
Cons: Single rooms were facing the main dirt road, it was music to the ears of the vehicles grinding its wheels and you could not have a good sleep. Wooden flooring dilapidated- tiles coming off, no room heating system. Washroom was a showpiece, you had to stand adjacent to the wall so that lukewarm water could fall directly over your head! No hot water supply in the basin, had to rinse in ice cold water! Internet available only in the reception- speed awful! To sum it up - bad value for money charged. Will never recommend it to anybody, friend or foe!
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Ground are lovely. Large with great pool area. Rooms are small but comfortable and clean. We were able to use the pool and showers after check out as we had a late transfer
Cons: WiFi is only accessible at the pool or reception which is fine

Pros: Staff there were so good they helped a lot to contact with the traveragency that I reserved
Cons: There was no other menu for the group they asked me to just select in their menu... I am managing the travel agency and was there with my travel team. those of in their menu were so expensive for me.. I must have had a dinner if they had another menu for the group tourist. The WiFi wasn’t good in the room long away from lobby
7,9 Good
Pros: Location and the pool!
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Clean and comfortable rooms with a very kind and helpful staff. The location is excellent. Just a few steps from restaurants and services. Yet very calm hotel.
Cons: Rooms would need to fix some details that are old and do not cost much.
5,8 Okay
Pros: Nice swimming pool, good breakfast and great location. They have their own car park.
Cons: Very very unfriendly staff at the reception. The rooms are outdated and definitely not worth the money. The rooms are extremely hot in summer, only option is to fully open the windows but if your room is located next to the car park that’s not an option as you will be woken up by the noise from all the cars.
6,7 Good
Pros: The position is good, room too close to the hall and noisy one. Breakfast was quite good.
Cons: Room was not warm enough, we were there during winter time. In bathroom thr wateris cold later 6:00 pm,honestly warm enough later 7:30. The hall was frozen all time.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Spacious hotel, rooms are clean although older, and very nice pool.
Cons: The staff was not very helpful or proactive. The restaurant "and bar" does not serve any drinks.
3,3 Mediocre
Pros: Location
Cons: Dust room, unfair price, not friendly staff
7,9 Good
Cons: Bathroom dated
6,7 Good
Pros: Right next to the only gas station in town, there is this hotel that sort of provides what they advertise, except the ambiance part. They have all the necessary facilities; clean room, pool, parking, wifi etc. But they lack ambiance. Partly because of non personal staff members I guess. Our experience wasn’t bad at all, but still.. this hotel will be soon forgotten as it has left no mark on our trip.
Cons: Rather expensive for what you get in return.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The facilities are great and it is very well located, a lot better in those two aspects compared to other options in the area.
Cons: I recommend adding anti-slip mats in the shower/bathtub.

5,4 Okay
Pros: Location, comfortable beds, good breakfast, staff tried to be helpful and look after us.
Cons: Room needs a lot of work - the sink was loose, kick-boards falling off, broken bricks and tiles (safety hazard for kids). Hot tub not working. Generally the place felt tatty and needs crucial maintenance. No hot water most of the time. I would not expect consistently cold showers when paying this price. Staff lacked basic knowledge (e.g. told there were no playgrounds, there are 3 we found)
6,7 Good
Pros: quiet no noise clean rooms ,clean pool .
Cons: have bike to go to town ,it is far from main street.

8,3 Excellent
Pros: Staff very helpful and do an amazing job speaking English. Room very comfortable. Good breakfast. Parking available. For Australians using Qantas money card with US$ this hotel accepts these cards without issue.
Cons: Located on a tiny one lane road on the outskirts of town. Outward appearance not as good as site pictures, granted it was winter. Hot water only Luke warm.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Amazing pool :)
Cons: Electricity and water can be a bit hit and miss. If the electric stops there's little to no water from the shower. But this is in a desert so probably most hotels have this problem. The hotel is small with no bar, not ideal for solo travellers wanting to socialise there.

Pros: The location is perfect. The breakfast is very good including the place which is the best part of the hotel.

5,8 Okay
Pros: It looks like in the pictures and that is the best advantage of the place. It was also very clean and there was possibility to use bikes with helmets.
Cons: It was extremely far from San pedro de atacama. Some of tour operators did not want to pick us up from the logde because of difficult and narrow way to get there. There is no bus or collectivo to obtain destination on your own even taxis does not work as you imagine. To reach the city you need to bike or walk around 4km in a dusty road (its compeletly dark in the night, tough stars are amazing) or you can hitchhike if you are lucky. We did not like breakfast. I believe that for money they want you to pay, you shouldn't get calculated amount of food: one small roll, one slice of ham and cheese per person. There was also coffe and tea and some yogurt and cereals but also limited. For two days we had trips, we asked for earlier breakfast or takeaway package but didn't get any, even though other people got ones. Our departure breakfast was a joke as well, two slices of salami put in a small roll (smaller than a palm) did a thing. Finally there were also lacks in water. For five days each of us was able to take one hottish shower. It also happend that water was sipping from tap making impossible to wash your hands.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Hostel led with love. Decoration and equipment were perfect. Quiet and peaceful! Would definitely come back!!
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Nice rustic rooms that fit the region. When I go to Atacama I want to stay in a room that belongs there. This place was what I was looking for. The staff is super friendly and gave us a lot of advice for our stay. They were very accommodating for our schedule in providing snacks or breakfast. If you want to stay in a quiet place that’s far from the touristy noise, this is the place for you.
Cons: The WiFi was weak. The rooms were a bit cold. But this was the colder months (end of August) however the bed was super warm.
3,3 Mediocre
Cons: swimming pool was dirty, not hot water no wifi in the bedroom. mosquitoes in the bedroom because the window could not be closed.
7,1 Good
Pros: The lodge is in a wonderfully secluded and quite, placed well outside of the main drags of San Pedro. It has real character and some lovely features like the garden and the relaxed area by the pool. My room was great.
Cons: It felt rather shabby, and could do with a lot more care and attention to warrant the price. Various things didn't work properly from the wi-fi which was much more on than off, to the dull breakfast with only Nescafe and no fresh fruit , the broken sun umbrella by the pool and freezing cold pool water. It felt a bit like an over-priced youth hostel.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very welcoming place ! Warming host and perfect location if you do not want to be in the center of San Pedro!
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very helpful and very nice. Give us what ever we ask

Pros: Staff, included Owner Breakfast Guidance on tours
Cons: Bathroom comfort, occasional shortage of warm water.
7,5 Good

9,6 Excellent
Pros: the pool is great for relaxing when it’s too hot. They clean your room every day. The staff is very kind.
