Pros: The location of CESARE is awesome , a few steps away from the parking lot. The room was very clean and offered a fantastic view. Breakfast was excellent. We had our dinner in the restaurant belonging to CESARE and it was one of the best food experience we've had in Italy ! The staff was very polite and helpful. If visiting San Marino, a place full of history, we highly recommend staying at CESARE !
Cons: Everything was excellent, there was nothing that one wouldn't like !
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Unbeatable location! The hotel was only a few steps away from car park 6 and the towers. Almost every attraction was within several mins walk. The room was not spacious but very clean. Friendly and informative staff.
Cons: The water temperature was somehow unstable. It can get too hot during the shower.

3,0 Mediocre
Pros: Location was very good
Cons: It was old and not kept up very well
7,0 Good
Pros: Great breakfast, very good location although a 10-15 min uphill hike from the bus station (a shuttle service may suit some visitors). But expect lots of short uphill and downhill walks to see such great sights and viewpoints.
Cons: Needs better English TV coverage for all international visitors (specifically a simple news channel such as BBC World News or CNN at the very least)
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The location is ideal to walking to the old town and castle towers. Breakfast was a nice variety of hot and cold choices. Beds were comfortable.
Cons: Air conditioning was not operating up to standards and TV remote was not fixed when problem was presented to front staff.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location. Great views from balcony. Superb breakfast. Nicely appointed room, apart from narrow beds. Friendly staff. Parking available on street at special rate of 4euro per day. Good wifi.
Cons: The hot water in the shower had little preasure. Plenty of preasure when cold. The single beds are very a narrow. Requested not to make beds, beds made. Requested no new towels, towels replaced. They should replace mouldy sealant in shower.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Location is incredible - you wake up looking over San Marino and across Italy. The hotel is around 15mins brisk walk to two of the three towers, the town hall and main church. Parking was also cheap and easy right outside the hotel. Staff - all the staff were particularly friendly and helpful. Special mention to Noami for making our arrival extremely easy and giving us a warm welcome. General - the hotel has a very relaxed vibe, also it smells incredible throughout. Hotel restaurant - wonderful. Breakfast - extensive options in both hot and cold dishes. Good quality. Quiet - hotel was overall very quiet. Room AC - air-conditioning available in the room
Cons: Only 3 very minor points: No power sockets by the beds TV reception poor in places - smart TVs would be welcome! Room decor could do with updating.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Good beds
Cons: Far from the center
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Super location with great view, helpful staff who easily sorted parking on a busy Sunday, comfortable and quiet room on the first floor. The free breakfast was good, although disappointed the fruit ran out on the second morning. All in all, a lovely traditional hotel and amazing value for money.
Cons: The bedroom lights were confusing (as is often the case in hotels). While the room was a little dated, it was fine but the shower oddly was positioned in the middle of the bath - difficult to run without soaking the floor or getting stuck to the curtain. The water pressure was variable.

Cons: Nothing
6,2 Good
Pros: Staff was super friendly and helpful The best of the hotel
Cons: Everything was old. Including the beds. Water pressure was poor Breakfast was mediocre at best Rooms had no personality
10,0 Excellent
Pros: One of the best rental apartments we have stayed in (and we have a family of 8 that travels a lot, so we have stayed in many). It looks very new, and is well-appointed, spacious and comfortable. Staff were uniformly excellent and friendly. The woman at the front desk was brilliant, and they really need to sign her to a lifetime contract. Breakfast was excellent. Location is perfect, just inside the walls, within an easy walk of everywhere. Overall, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again whenever I was in the area.
Cons: Internet didn't reach to the main bedroom. Parking is available at a nearby hotel, but that hotel is notably stuffier than this one, so a bit more aggravating to deal with.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Great location, hotel facilities recently renewed, great breakfast both italian and international
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The room is spacious and good enough to accommodate 3 persons. The location is great, right at the heart of Sam Marino. All staff are very helpful and cheerful. The staff helped me book a taxi to the train station. The car is a luxurious 7 seat limo. But the driver only charged me normal taxi fare. My daughter left her phone in the taxi after reaching destination. I contacted hotel right away. They answered my email a minutes and helped me contact the driver. Fortunately, the phone was recovered and returned to hotel. It was very kind of driver and hotel staff to help me recover and return the phone to my daughter. I would like to express my gratitude to the driver and hotel staff for their excellent attitude of work and hospitality.
Cons: Nothing
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The location of the hotel is perfect for exploring main tourist attractions. Also, the staff was really helpful and kind, only for this reason I could come back there again!
8,0 Excellent
Pros: good hospitaly
Hotel San Marino iDesign - San Marino - Building
5
8,6 Excellent (885 reviews)
R1 152+
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Hotel San Marino iDesign in San Marino, you'll be within a 5-minute drive of Liberty Square and Palazzo Pubblico. Featured amenities include express check-in, express check-out, and complimentary newspapers in the lobby. Free self parking is available onsite.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: very friendly staff, cleanliness, good coffee at breakfast.
Cons: it's quite loud in the morning due to traffic even with windows closed; bed was big but not so comfy.
7,1 Good
Pros: Friendly lady at the reception, good with advice about where to go and how to get there
Cons: Design rated as way more important than functionality. A square toilet might look nice but it’s pretty uncomfortable. Everything else looks great but is not really functional, like light switches or showers. Imagine a modern Apple computer that runs Windows 95
5,0 Okay
Pros: Breakfast fine, good friendly helpful staff. Reception person very helpful and good with advice.
Cons: New owners need to move on renovations. Bed below par, blind in bathroom needs fixing. Could be great but needs to be fixed.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Awesome location, just 25 minutes walking distance to the old town or 3-4 minutes driving distance. Free parking, nice rooms. Good breakfast. The view from some of the rooms is awesome during nice weather conditions. Would recommend for a short stay.
Cons: Some minor moments like someone's hair in the jacuzzi and a few too 'design' solutions in the bathroom.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: What I saw is what I got!!!
Cons: Nothing
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Very cool design features (sometimes to the detriment of practicality, particularly in the bathroom/shower area). Very generous breakfast. Good location, and glad for the free parking, as we did end up walking (or scaling) up to the old town, having tried earlier to find a carpark to no avail. It's a hearty 30-35 minute walk, mostly with no footpaths as the road is narrow and winding, so you have to be careful as the Sammarinesi drive just like the Italians - pedal to the metal! The hotel receptionist spoke excellent English and gave us great, non-Google Maps, advice for the best route for the next leg of our trip to Perugia- many thanks.
Cons: Bed was very firm, but difficult for an hotel to accommodate every guest's personal preference. As most of San Marino old town is nestled into hillsides, hotel rooms without a spectacular view out over the valleys below obviously have next-to-no view of the wall against the hill behind - this was the case for our room (we possibly chose an option that was not 'room with views', so if there is such an option when booking, I'd recommend you pay the supplement). One other thing - only one easily accessible electric plug in the whole room so charging several devices requires careful coordination.
Hotel Joli - San Marino - Bedroom

9,0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderfull location
Cons: Everything is ok.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: All perfect, staff super kind
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Handy location, kind staff
Cons: Breakfast price could be lower. I would like to have better pillows and most importantly the towels should not smell so weird.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location , just a few minutes from the Bus Stop if coming from Rimini, and a few minutes to the historic area. Friendly and helpful staff. They really took into consideration my request for a room with a nice view. Comfy bed , spacious room, soft towels, extra blankets and pillows. I would definitely come back!
7,1 Good
Pros: The hotel is located in the city center, parking is right next to the hotel. The receptionist was nice and helpful, but we felt she wanted to talk more to my boyfriend than to me. The view of the mountains from the hotel was marvelous.
Cons: The bathroom door was hard to close. We had a problem with parking because there was a festival in town. I don't understand why we had three beds when we only wanted two. The room was really small because of that.
7,0 Good
Pros: Great location, lovely shower, good views.
Cons: The red light directly above the bed that was flashing throughout the night. The lack of available plugs to recharge electronic devices.
Hostaria da Lino - San Marino - Building

8,8 Excellent
Pros: Eclectic place with history. Room enough for short stay, clean bathroom. More than basic breakfast with delicious coffee. Welcoming and helpful staff (thank you again!). Very close to cable car station (5 minutes by foot). And last but not least perfect restaurant for the evening.
7,9 Good
Pros: Friendly staff, great location, clean room.
Cons: Mattresses should be changed asap since they are in pretty bad shape.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: At first thought the room was small and hot, as we were up in the roof area, but once the air conditioning was on it was fine. There was a tv in the room and a small fridge which was very useful. The location was ideal for the cable car up to the old town. We managed to get parked opposite the hotel, in the square. This was a last minute booking for a one night stay only. The pizzas there are the best we have ever tasted.
Cons: Nothing
7,1 Good
Pros: Location and polite staff
Cons: Swage smell in the room. Breakfast was quite basic
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, tasty meal in restaurant with great prices, lot of smiles.
Cons: The room is a bit dark , WiFi connection inn room is very bad .
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was nice and comfy. Very helpful staff! And the restaurant is super good, very tasty dishes and reasonable prices!
Cons: The atmosphere a little bit old fashioned.

8,3 Excellent
Pros: The room was great. Facilities are very good. Super clean!
Cons: Location without transport was tough. Staff could have been more helpful. Rude staff in restaurant. Can be noisy on a night.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Location location location Brilliant
Cons: Limited shop opening times but the location more than made up for it
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Positive experience. Everything was clean. The bed was good.
Cons: They didn't have breakfast in their restaurant, we found it quite odd.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Peace and quiet.
Cons: A kettle in the room would have been handy.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: I really liked the coziness, the private space, and the ability to park the car right by the bungalow. For the price, it's pretty good. Personnel was nice too! Not too talkative, yet resourceful. Nice to have the little hanging out terrace. I was happy with what I found. And the animals in the area cause there's a farm next door! Lovely!
Cons: I was hoping that the restaurant would be open, but it wasn't because of the dates/ off season. I would have liked to know where the kitchen was ':) Everything was pretty good tho! And good for the price!
8,3 Excellent
Pros: It is quite easy to find hotel with car. There is a bus stop outside as well. The environment of the hotel is great, quiet, maybe due to a low season.
Cons: Since it is a low season, there is no breakfast provided by the hotel so we need to go out for it
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Good location, nice staff
Cons: Swimming pool works from 10:00 till 18:00 o’clock, checkout till 10:00 o’clock, so if you for one day it is difficult to use it :) there was no WiFi connection in the house and terrible isolation from neighbors
8,3 Excellent
Pros: One of the strongest showers I have ever found, mosquito nets in all the windows and beautiful peacocks roaming around. Lovely place, I'll book again!
Grand Hotel Primavera - San Marino - Building
9
8,2 Excellent (1 859 reviews)
R1 152+
Overview Reviews
Located in Borgo Maggiore, Grand Hotel Primavera is within a 15-minute drive of Liberty Square and Palazzo Pubblico. Featured amenities include a business center, express check-out, and dry cleaning/laundry services. Guests may use a roundtrip airport shuttle for a surcharge, and free self parking is available onsite.
7,1 Good
Pros: Staff very pleasant and helpful. Spa facilities available for use.
Cons: Everything was lovely, the only downside to this and many other hotels in San Marino is the location. The dangerous and steep highway right outside the hotel limits your ability to walk to the old town as does the lack of public transport. For anyone looking I'd recommended you stay in the old town it's worth it to save on Taxis!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very acomodating staff, great location.
5,8 Okay
Pros: Nice place from front side, big and free parking space, sauna and pool.
Cons: The room was meant for 4 people, but two beds were situated in a some kind of hall with no window. All 4 beds were not of a good quality, more like additional beds than the real one. They were also too soft. The balcony was small and with a very narrow fence-dangerous! Some guests got a hotel bathing suit-nobody offered it to us and there were also no words about in the advertising paper describing hotel services which was held in the room. Breakfast mediocre.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: I love the spa and swimming pool area. My room was situated right next to the spa, so I could get changed in my room and then go straight for a swim. Also, I liked that the spa was open until 9pm (with no kids for the last few hours). I could come back from a day of sight-seeing and relax in the spa without needing to rush.
Cons: The breakfast wasn't particularly impressive, though it was included so I didn't mind too much. There weren't that many other touristy things nearby (restaurants, museums etc) - most of those are situated at the top of the hill in San Marino centre. But this did give me the excuse to get the cable car up the hill which was fun!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was excellent
9,6 Excellent
Cons: Well located hotel, with a very nice Spa and indoor pool. Good for couples and families.
