Pros: Nice beautiful room and hotel, friendly and helpful people at the service desk and in the restaurant. Very good diner buffet with a lot of choices from the starters up to the deserts. Also the breakfast had for us sufficient choices.

Cons: It would be a bit more easy for us when the personnel in the restaurant could speak somewhat more English. Although at the end we always understood each other. Somehow the coffee quality (taste) was in the three days not always the same. The information we saw in booking.com about the internet and the air conditioning is out-of-date. Also the room has much more to offer that what is written in the booking.com website.

Pros: Hostess was wonderful - made an English speaking guest very welcome. Breakfast superb - great selections, delicious food and beverages. Book early and ask for a lakeside room

Pros: The staff was extremely helpful and even prepared breakfast for us outside since the weather was lovely. The room was tidy and comfortable. Great value for money! We would stay there again, anytime.

Pros: The location is fabulous! Just a stone's throw away from the ferry terminals. The hotel is old and has been nicely renovated. Do note, there are no lifts - so this is not suitable with people who have mobility issues. We stayed in a studio with a balcony onto the interior yards of other hotels and views of the castle and palace on the mountains. The studio is spacious and even has a walk in wardrobe. The bathroom was comfortable and beautiful. The staff are very friendly and will go out of their way to make you feel happy. Wifi is available for multiple devices. You get a guest card upon arrival which gives you some discounts to local attractions. The staff will even post your postcards for you :) Breakfast is typical for the region, so if you have any special dietary requirements, you will need to bring some of your own things (like I did, as I am vegan). You can also request coffee and tea made the way that you prefer. I recommend a visit to the Konstanz weekly produce market for some fresh fruit and berries, as well as Alnatura in Konstanz so you can supplement the breakfast with what you like. A really neat thing is that the breakfast bar at the hotel has a juicer - so you can squeeze your own juice from the carrots and apples they provide :)

Cons: When I booked the room, I selected it because it had a kitchen in the photos. However, upon arrival, I was informed that the kitchen does not function and was not on the list of facilities - which left me a little baffled, as I could not understand why they would include a photo of the kitchen on the website. After my initial disappointment, the staff offered some cutlery and plates so that I could still create some meals for myself, albeit cold ones. There is no kettle in the room, however the staff offered to fill up a thermos - so that is what we ended up doing for 5 nights - a staff member would fill up a thermos for us and take it up to our room before they left (they finish their shift at 6pm, after that there is no service) while we were still out exploring.

Pros: The lovely large room, balcony and views over the promenade. The large bathroom, hallway, 2 sets of patio doors and 2 other window with side aspect. The breakfast and breakfast room. The staff.

Cons: The restaurant closing at 1830 hours so we couldn't eat an evening meal there. The trees on the promenade covered a bit too much of the lake view. The lights on the balcony didn't work due to them attracting insects although candles were provided instead.

Cons: The room and bathroom were small, however cozy.

Pros: Meersburg is a beautiful little place and the hotel is right on the lake, the owners are friendly,and speak good english. Breakfasst and food was good! I really enjoyed my stay there

Pros: The best asset of the Hotel are the Spa facilities, the solarium, sauna and indoor pool. The Restaurant is also good, the best in the area and, probably, one of the best of Friedrischafen. The fan at the room was incredibly silent and effective. The TV channels including Netflix. The cleanliness of the room and the whole facilities The car park included in the room price. But last and most importantly, what I appreciated more was the very good customer service and extremely attention from the staff. I appreciate very much they provided us with a very quiet room as I requested.

Cons: I did not like at all the glass door with the bathroom. I have seen this in other modern hotels and understand this is a fashion but it is not practical at all. The sliding door is noisy which at night is very annoying and does not seal the smells from the bathroom. Another issue could be the lack of A/C. Although the fan is excellent, I understand that for very hot days could not be sufficient and you may miss to have air conditioning. Also, there are some rooms close to the street that could be a bit noisy early in the morning which is an issue if you come over the Hotel for resting. And, finally, some other little details like for example, the towels quality or the pillows...are not at the level I would expect for a 4 star hotel. Nevertheless, as a balance score, I definetively would recommend this Hotel.

Cons: The room was uncomfortably hot! I‘ve lived in Germany long enough to not expect air conditioning, but the room didn‘t even have a fan to blow the air around. As my room was on the top floor, I‘m sure that made it even worse. Plus, the in-room fridge barely kept drinks below room temperature; in other words, it hardly worked at all, so you couldn‘t even get a cold drink to cool off.

Pros: This Hotel was very comfortable for a quick stay in a popular area. The hotel had adequate parking, a new elevator, it's own restaurant for dinner and breakfast and a beautiful view of the lake.

Cons: The only thing that I did not like is the name of the town is very hard to say or remember for an American, so I just say it's the small town Just to the north west of Meersburg that's on Lake Constance.

Great Breakfasts and much appreciated tea/coffee and cake available in the afternoon Perfect location - quiet, close to town even if there are a few steps to deal with as the town is on a steep hill - wonderful views of the lake and town.

Cons: Music in the dining area - too musak like for my taste and didn't add to the atmosphere. Being informed in room blurb that I had to be out of the room from 10.30 to 14.00 nfor cleaning seemed a little officious. Think parking fee is a bit much given the price of rooms

Pros: We stayed in the Grand Suite which was amazing. The bathtub was nice and big and we tried the sauna out once. The wine/beer fridge in suite was also handy, as long as you pay attention to what bottle costs what =) Italian place 5 min walk away.

Cons: The patio off of the Grand Suite is literally right below the breakfast area so you kind of feel like you're on display if you go out in the morning. And the shower seemed a bit larger in the pictures ;) There's not a ton to DO around Meersburg (Mainau was nice) but that wasn't really a concern of ours.

Pros: Clean attractive rooms with good shower. Junior Suites disproportionately stunning and huge, with a free standing tub. Cooked eggs available at breakfast, also a Glass of local Secco. Nice lake views, vines outside our window and a refreshingly cold hot tub in the garden.

Cons: Property managed amateurs who seem unaware of the basics of professional hospitality. Baking hot when we visited. No air conditioning. No electric fans (even though we requested them in advance, in writing). Only one part time member of staff speaks any English. The rest just talk at you in German even if you are not fluent in the language. Mosquito infestation with no solution offered (no plug-ins, no spray). No staff in evidence outside of breakfast/check-in and short checkout window. Honesty bar with no ice. Terrible pillows.

Pros: The location was good and view of Lake Constance great. Nice reception and breakfast area, good indoor parking at a cost. Clean and good size room.

Cons: We stayed 3 days with a daily cost of more than € 300. It was no AC or fan in the room, no fridge, reception not in service after 19:00, no restaurant or bar. No accept of credit cards, all in all it’s a nice B & B. So value for money not ok and we expected more...

Pros: Great breakfast, super nice & romantic views and a very good and quiet location on top of the hill in Meersburg. The "grandma" who welcomed us was extremely friendly and supportive.

Cons: The price was way too high for such a hotel. There was no complimentary water on the room which I surely expect at such high room charge (i.e. most 5* hotels offer free water and charge less for their rooms). The room was very small. The parking was charged extra and we had to pay the parking charge in cash (no credit cards allowed).

Pros: We rented an apartment studio in the basement, and it was very formidable! There is a small kitchen are well-equipped so we can cook the meal simple. However there was no microwave. The bed was comfy, and the bathroom was very clean. Internet worked well, but was limited during certain hours (no internet from 11PM - 7AM), which was no problem for us Parking was easy to access. The are was very calm and quiet. It takes abouth 5-7 minutes to walk to the centrl town and the lake All in all, we were very pleased and highly recommend !

Pros: The owner was extremely friendly. We liked room equipment: full kitchen with dish and consumables. interesting bathroom. The room was clean in deed. The hotel was good located just 2 minute from the public places. the nearest supermarket was 2 min walk and FLIXBUS stop 5 min walk.

Cons: 'The room in the basement' was in the cellar in deed. So I was a bit worry to sleep on the same level as a grave :)

Pros: - Owner is super friendly, knowledgeable & ever so helpful :) - Location is perfect: nestled at the base of a vineyard (picturesque!), off the noisy main road, just a short 5min walk to the beautiful old town, plus little grocery store (edeka) 3min walk away - Pictures of the room are super accurate - Amenities provided were as promised, everything worked :) They even had a little pantry stocked with chips, snacks & drinks at the lobby just in case anyone wanted something - Room was warm, bright & comfortable — not bad for a basement room! - Loved the spacious toilet :)

Cons: - Beds were very... squishy. My husband has a bad back and couldn’t sleep on the bed because it was not firm (absolutely no back support whatsoever). The moment you climb into bed, you sink into the mattress. We realised that the problem was not the mattresses; but the bed frames — because the top of the bed frames were soft (like a hammock), the mattress sank wherever weight was placed on it. - Carpet on which the beds were placed is dusty. My allergies started flaring up. BUT other than that, the room was pretty clean :)

Pros: The best bits. Location of the hotel was good and easy to find especially with a message sent to me before my arrival. Breakfast was excellent and a served in a lovely salon. My bed was very comfortable. Pleased to be able to park on site.

Cons: For the most expensive hotel of my 9 day trip I was underwhelmed by the hotel in general. Bathroom was cramped and towels were faded and harsh. Understanding that the town is a big tourist location, my room faced out onto the pedestrian precinct, so I expected noise at night (though most came from the seats outside the hotel itself - perhaps staff could put a notice requesting some understanding of guests wanting to sleep?) But wasn't expecting to be woken before 6.00am by a myriad of vehicles below. Also, given the age profile of most of my fellow guests (more elderly), perhaps the hotel should review its choice of breakfast piped music. R&B at 7.00am not really my thing and (for a Brit) lyrics "I don't care who the f*ck you am, I don't give a f*ck about your Instagram" was totally inappropriate.

Pros: Fantastic location with beautifully decorated rooms, great breakfast and the staff are so friendly. Would stay there again as it's located next to everything you need.

Cons: I wish they would have a coffee maker in the room or at least the ability to buy a cup of coffee in the hotel lobby. They have a full breakfast that has coffee with it for 18 euro but I don’t think you can just purchase a cup of coffee but to be fair we never actually asked.

Pros: Great location within the old town, an easy walk to the harbor, including the Zeppelin Museum, which was the highlight of our trip. The atmosphere of the hotel is cool, and they even have a little garden seating area out back. Great breakfast, fun lobby bar, lovely pool and spa area downstairs. We also appreciated the secure bike parking. Rooms were beautiful and functional, though the beds were too soft for my taste.

Pros: Charming historic hotel, in the old town, great location! All the staff were extremely welcoming and very hospitable. The breakfast buffet was excellent, with a great range of hot and cold dishes and local dishes as well. Large and comfortable bedrooms with modern bathrooms. Easy stroll to the sights in the old town and the lake and to the many great restaurants around the old town. Parking is available on request and worth it.

Pros: From start to finish the Hotel management and staff were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Everyone spoke excellent English with us and when one of our group injured her finger in a restaurant the lady on reception was most helpful in providing a suitable dressing. The rooms are all individually decorated and furnished and spotlessly clean and fresh. Complimentary drinks in the fridge were a lovely touch. Although two of our three rooms were not air conditioned, we were given large fans which worked well. The beds are large and very comfy and we had a great night‘s sleep. A lovely breakfast is served in the elegant ‚Stuben‘ . The hotel is easy to find right at the top of this beautiful town amongst the historic buidings. The walk down to the lake promenade with our parents in their 80‘s took about 15 minutes and the very steep walk back up was a little slower but pleasant. If the hill is a problem there are plenty of restaurants in the upper part of town just a few meters away instead or alternatively the complimentary town shuttlebus takes you from the lake to the hotel. We really loved our stay and would highly recommend the hotel to couples or families.

Cons: As is often the case outside the uk, there is no kettle in the room but quite honestly the complimentary drinks compensated nicely.

Pros: Super friendly people, you can speak english or german with them. Great view if your room is facing the seaside. Everything was awesome and I would stay there again! Although most programs available on the TV are in German, they have CNN and Al Jazeera English. I was super happy to see Al Jazeera because it is a rare find! The food in the restaurant is very good and worth the money. Generous portions, very good customer service. The staff are fast and always check in to ask if you need something and they are happy to oblige! The breakfast from 8-10 was also delicious, typically German, and very fresh. There are some things you should consider depending on how you are. Firstly, it is a historic building therefore you will hear noises outside of your room on occasion. There are no phones in the room, so keep your cell phone handy. The restaurant is top and therefore you should check early so you can make a reservation. If not, maybe you have no place to sit!

Pros: Great location right on the water and next to the boat trip pier. Easy walk around the corner to the scenic old city streets, although you must go up a steep hill to get to the old city center. Restaurant very popular, so recommend dinner reservations. Good renovations to make the rooms very comfortable despite the old city closeness.

Cons: Breakfast options were limited, but sufficient, just don’t expect an elaborate spread. You must drive up to the alley to check in, and get a parking pass to take the car back outside the old city to the parking center. There is no reception or lobby, so you must arrive between 1500 and 1800 to check in, otherwise you must go through the restaurant and find someone to help you. You must carry the heavy key around town with you otherwise you won’t be able to get back into the building.

Pros: We liked the location and the room was really comfortable. The breakfast was exceptional, and the staff in the morning were just great.

Cons: Checking in put us off, a little bit. The woman who checked us in, was very busy, and didn’t take time to let us know the WiFi password, so WiFi was unavailable to us that evening, since the staff leaves around 6 for the night. The staff in the morning made up for it, by their friendly demeanor.

Cons: The only possible misgiving would be lack of AC. The table fan in the room helped a bit, but somewhat hard to sleep even though the window was wide open. (Day temperatures were around 25 degrees.)

Pros: It is not the first time we are staying in this hotel. It’s clean, location is perfect, service is great and people who work there are very helpful. I also like the food - I consider it to be the best restaurant in Meersburg. In addition to the fresh ingredients, it offers healthy choices, which almost impossible to find around! Amazing place!

Pros: The hotel was definitely beautiful and room facing the lake had a view like no other. The staff was very kind and the breakfast was incredibly delicious!

Cons: We asked to be extended for one more night and they promised to let us know in a few minutes if we could extend. We had to come back down that evening to follow up and they had relocated us to a smaller, unpleasant room.

Pros: Breakfast exceeded my expectations. They even cook your eggs anew for no extra charge and provided the best selection of jams. The furnishing was mostly IKEA but in chosen in good taste and the sheets were in good condition and comfortable. High ceiling makes the room feel far more spacious and airy than it actually is. The bathroom looked like it had been recently renovated too. But the best thing about this hotel was the view that gives you a clear outline of Alps over the Bordensee in the early morning and a perfect sunset in the evening, so be sure to get a lake view room if you can. Also, we were just planning to go to Constance but just beyond the hotel is the very charming town of Meersburg that overlooks the lake and takes about two hours max to look around so that was a pleasant surprise.

Cons: The entrance on the side of the building was a little hard to find so I first thought I was in the wrong place. It's a very small hotel that runs on few staff members so don't expect a lobby or reception, but what staff they have were all very helpful and warm. Like I said, the furnishing are IKEA quality, and towels were rather old and jagged around the edges. Is this a German thing? I've never seen this in any other stays around the world but experienced it in Germany repeatedly. I guess it's better for the environment but it does remind you that you are using a towel that many hundreds, possibly thousands of people used before you.

Pros: The most important element of our entire weekend experience was the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. All of the staff! We felt as though we were guests at a friend's place vs. being at a tourist hotel. I wonder how they maintain this attitude. The restaurant was excellent, and the service outstanding.

Pros: The spa section is really nice after a days work! They also have an excellent restaurant, which is a bit pricey for every day meals, but once in a while it's really worth it!

Pros: Really good location and good food (breakfast and dinner at the restaurant). The view from our room was spectacular! The spa is amazing.

Cons: For such an expensive price, the room was small and rather basic with old furniture. The bed wasnt very comfortable and had a beam right in the middle of the room. The bathroom was especially run down with very little space to even stand to brush your teeth or take a shower. The TV was small and old. Some basics were not provided e.g there were no water cookers or Tea available and when asked for one they told us they were all taken.

Cons: we booked as a family (intended a family room), when we arrived for a late check in (22.30 hrs) reception was closed, the barman was friendly enough, but only thing he could do was hand out the keys. turned out the two double rooms provided instead was located three floors apart in different ends of a wing. it was as far from a family-friendly booking I have experienced ever (and absolutely nothing I would expect from a 4 star hotel(which was why we decided to book there in the first place). Rooms where located on two sides of a building, but both where extremely noisy at night with heavy trucks roaring past all the time.

Pros: Breakfast and wellness was ok.

Cons: The room looked like from the 70's. Old equipment. Carpet designed elevator. On the contrary, the wellness was nice and the breakfast was good. Anyway, probably the worst 4 star hotel I've ever been.

Pros: The location was great. The view from the room was nice. A few minutes walk from Lake Constance. All the staff was very helpful and friendly. The spa treatments I had were wonderful.

Cons: The pictures of the rooms, specifically the Superior Double Room with Balcony on the booking.com site did not reflect the actual rooms we were given. The ceiling fan did not cool the room at all, and the remote did not always work to turn it on or off. In the other room there was air conditioning but my sister said it did not seem to cool the room either. There was only a shower in my room, but in the other Superior Double Room with Balcony there was also a bathtub. I was disappointed there was not a bathtub in my room. The flooring in the swimming pool area was very slippery. A small child had even fallen and hit his/her head. With the slippers offered in the room or barefoot it was very slippery.

Pros: The room was very large, and more like a small studio apartment. There was a small kitchenette, table and chairs, sofa (which was used as a sofa bed), bathroom. More than enough space for us. We arrived on the late side, and the man at reception moved his car so we could park close to our room, which was very nice. The breakfast was amazing - so many different fresh fruits and breads, an incredible selection of juices, eggs made to order, yogurts and various muesli/granola, jams and spreads. The staff was also very friendly and helpful. That was by far my favorite part. The hotel is outside of Meersburg, uphill, but not as far as I'd feared - it's quite walkable. In fact, public parking in Meersburg seemed to largely consist of lots outside of the main town, so it's no farther, from what I could tell, than the public parking lots. There's a small grocery store on the way up the hill, and an Italian restaurant or two (we didn't go to any of these, but we saw them). I think the walk is even shorter when a pedestrian path right behind the hotel is open, but it was closed for repair when we were there.

Cons: The room felt kind of worn and old - very clean, but not updated. The sofa bed was probably the least comfortable of the ones we had in 10 hotels in Germany (though fine for our 5 year old). The bathroom was a decent size but had very little space to store toiletries compared to other German hotels (but had a little basket of amenities). The room we had opened onto the parking lot so the entrance way felt a bit odd. They left the windows open (seems a common practice in Germany) and we had a few mosquitoes in the room. We got there a bit late - I think maybe 8:30-9pm - and it took a while after buzzing in to get someone to come open the door for us, but he was very friendly and helpful with check-in once he arrived.

Pros: The hotel is situated not far from the center but with an excellent view on the Lake. The hotel is family owned and has a very sympatethic atmophere. Breakfast was with excellent choice. I adore the fresh fruit Buffet. Boiled eggs with specific cooking time are available.

Pros: The breakfast buffet is excellent, the staff very attentive, friendly and well organized. Also the sauna, steamroom area is inviting, clean and was impeccably ready for us after the walk in the cold.

Cons: The wifi reception in the room (21, not in the main building) was quite poor. The view is not great from that room either, although that might be better in summer, when the pool is in use. In all its a spacious room, albeit a bit dark.

Cons: Bedding needs serious work, especially the pillows. Way too soft and synthetic. Also double is two beds which takes away from romance. Internet seemed quite slow at times but was ok. Toiletries quite basic with shower, conditioner and body wash all in one which was also empty

Pros: Excellent location, good breakfast, friendly staff. Plenty of space for 2 adults + 2 children with fully equipped kitchen in the “economy double room”.

Cons: Weak wifi access in the room (mini-apartment on the premises) which wouldn’t normally be an issue except that there’s very bad cellular data connection all over Meersburg.

Pros: Pretty much most things, the front of house staff were excellent. Breakfast was brilliant. The rooms were excellent. Parking for our motorbikes was first rate.

Cons: The bar staff and waiters demeanour left a lot to be desired, as if everything was too much trouble.

Pros: the breakfast was perfect. there was a couple of cafes in the hotel, and the food and service was wonderful. I booked a smaller room in regards to price, but it was a lot larger than even my own apartment.

Cons: this is by no means a fault of the hotel persay, but if they had an extra charger or two that would be great. the way down to the café was a bit convoluted. However, the elevator to get to the floors was hilarious. all in all, a great hotel.

Pros: Stayed in the Hotel to visit Meersburg, becuase couldn't get any rooms there anymore. This was the best option that was left in the last minute and generally would stay there again. Rooms were spacious, beds comfy. Breakfast was good. Big parking lot. Sauna!

Cons: No water in Sauna, the water machine had an empty bottle in it. We already asked about the Sauna while cheking in and thus they switched it on for us, but would have been nice to change the bottle as well as water is a must while going to sauna. No complimentary water in rooms, bottle costs 3€. No aircondition, no fridge in rooms.

Pros: The staff were very helpful and nothing was any bother. The food in the hotel was excellent! We arrived by motorcycle and we were offered free secure parking in one of the garages! We also had use of bicycles that were provided by the hotel for a small sum. All in all an excellent place to stay if visiting Lake Constance.

Pros: Booked as a group we arrived later than planned but we were still accommodated for with excellent food and drink. The lady on reception did everything she could and made us more than welcome.

Cons: I have a late evening horror surprise - my room was full of mosquitos and spiders when I got back to the hotel around 24 o'clock. There was nobody on the reception, no contacts nothing. I need to stay on a two sits small couch in the lobby until person from the hotel appear by chance around 4-4:30 am Booking.com service lines kept me for 20 min without anybody answering. I just got operators are busy. I doubt now you have operators at all. No reception after I don't know 8-9pm in this hotel. Not acceptable for hotel pretending to be. No way to call anybody in case of issue.

Pros: This hotel is located in a quiet residential area, about 30min walk to the main train station and lake Constance. The airport is 5min taxi ride away. The entire property is carefully and tastefully decorated; it’s feels more like a guesthouse than a hotel as there are only 8 rooms and staff is very welcoming. I found everything spotlessly clean. The breakfast buffet had delicious fresh readrolla, cold cuts, cheeses, jams, spreads and more on offer. The room and bathroom were spacious and had hairdryer and a fan. Windows could stay open all night for fresh air.

Cons: I only missed an a/c due to 35-38 degrees Celsius which I expect at a hotel at this price.

Pros: Easy late check-in: we had no problems to get in, although we arrived very late. Room is big, nice and super clean. Very comfy bed. Quiet at night. Very close to the Friedrichshafen Messe, which was perfect for our purposes.

Pros: I stayed 3 nights for a bussines trip. It is an old traditional hotel with a great ambient! Room was spatious, comfortable and very clean. Staff was very helpful and professional. Breakfast was excellent. I would stay any time there!

Cons: As with many hotels in Germany, this hotel did not have air conditioning for the rooms. There should be a service for a fan to circulate the air. Just having the windows open only did not cool down the rooms until after 1:00 AM.

Pros: Warm and friendly welcome with informative and enthusiastic host. The hotel was immaculate everything we needed for our four nights. Extremely comfortable and very quiet. The free pass for the bus was a bonus. Meersburg itself was a beautiful town, very clean with lots of good restaurants bars and shops. But one must try out the bakeries for excellent coffee, sandwiches/rolls and of course delicious pastries. We took the boat to Konstanz and from there the bus to Mainau Island which is pricey to enter but could spend all day there especially with children... look it up ! Meersburg also has a beautiful beach/lido which we enjoyed so this Hotel was perfect for us.
