Cleaniliness of rooms, good beds, comfortable rooms (carpets a bit worn) ease of access to City Centre, closeness to shops, swimming pool, good value overall.
Reception service poor, long waits and some staff lacking in courtesy- even after being kept waiting for a very long time broke of a brief enquiry from me to answer phone - long phone call, and on another occasion to attend to senior member of staff (manager?) in the back office despite having just apologized for keeping me waiting- the conversation with manager was nothing to do with my enquiry, put phone down on me in middle of conversation when I had reported total electricity failure in my room. Not enough staff on desk for a lot of the time and some staff lacked basic custom awareness and courtesy. Breakfast 15 minutes late one morning. Too much choice at expense of quality at breakfast. Coffee very poor.

Parking available. Pool. Not expensive compared to other hotels in Salamanca. Standard small motel bedroom, facilities all worked. Food good and reasonable price for a hotel.
First bedroom offered had such a stained and dirty carpet it never should have been let. No other bedroom was available on request, as a wedding was on. After saying we prefer to cancel, and find another hotel, we were found another bedroom, that was a little better. Took a long time to change rooms, as there were too few staff, and the request had to be dealt with by a manager who had to be found, and not the desk staff. Overall a poor experience signing in, which improved after the manager took over. After signing in things were better and met expectations. Pool was officially closed but usable, and we are allowed to use it. It had slimy, mouldy tiles - no cleaning as closed?
