Was a great location close walk to the Vatican City and St Angelo castle. Breakfast at local cafe with very little English, consists of coffee, orange juice, and pastry. Very comfortable room.
I feel that I want to say really great things about the guest house Luxury Navona but I'm struggling to find enough good things to counter those with which we were disappointed. It is in a great location for sightseeing and there are plenty of small restaurants and artisan shops in the neighbourhood. Be aware that the front door to the guest house is reached via about 30 steps, which get slippery when wet (and it rained a lot!). We were in an upstairs room which is reached via a number of narrow steps. We did not mind the stairs but I'm just highlighting to warn unsuspecting visitors. The bedroom was compact with a large bed, which was very comfortable even though it took up nearly all the room. The reception area downstairs was attractive and comfortable but not the sort of place you could spend time. Overall we enjoyed our stay but there were a couple of things which put a dampener on our stay (pun intended!).
The bedroom was taken up mostly by the bed and a very large jacuzzi-style bath. The bathroom was small and one couldn't open the door when standing at the sink. It did have a nice shower, toilet, sink and bidet. Why the room needed a huge bath I'll never know. It would be better to rip it out so there is room for a bedside table or chest of draws, of which there were none. We had plenty of rain in Rome, which caused our biggest concern. The bedroom roof leaked in a few places including through a light fitting and the bathroom extractor fan. The drip, drip, drip was noisy and disconcerting. Although the lights kept working, we were slightly frightened by the fact that the light in question seemed to flicker after it rained even when turned off. This brings me to the final point... There was never anyone at the guest house to discuss these things. We never saw the cleaner (although the rooms were cleaned every day) and only saw a reception person on the day we arrived and briefly when she was signing in another guest. Yes, we could have telephoned about the rain but not in the middle of the night when it first occurred.
Location is perfect, everything is reached by foots. Also staff is very friendly, she give us room earlier, and also last day we could leave our luggage all day in lobby until flight.
Room was not sound proof, we heard everything, like normal talking in other room. Mildew is in every corner, and also the room smelling on it. Breakfast is one croissant and coffee, for me it is enough but for the most other people this is ridiculously.
The location was excellent
More of a guesthouse as opposed to a hotel. Breakfast was in a cafe next door and consisted of a coffee and a pastry. Cleanliness could be improved.
The position of the property was fantastic near to lovely bars and restaurants. Claudia was lovely and gave us a warm welcome also ordering us a taxi for the morning. Property was very clean .
We were disappointed having paid extra with the deluxe bedroom . It was very small and didn’t feel deluxe at all. The coffee and tea facilities were very limited with no milk or extras. We didn’t feel it was value for money and the photos misleading.
